CHAPTER FIFTY

Dante sent a call to the whole pack, calling them to the center of the pack where there was a large space.

Pack meetings usually took place in the meeting hall but for today, it needed to be a different ball game.

Dante held Taylor's hand, mindlessly caressing her arm while they waited for everyone to gather together.

He could feel everyone responding to his calls and when they had all gathered, he coughed loudly.

Everyone kept quiet. You could hear a pin drop as everyone waited with bated breaths. Dante had been a very strict Alpha as his father had left a legacy that he intended to build on and also hand over to his future generations. The pack members however sometimes wanted him to be more friendly.

“I know what you all are thinking. Things are going to go back to the way they were, right? You thought wrong. This pack has been through many things and all because of the absence of loyalty. So we will start with that. We have so many things to change and we don't need traitors being a stumbling block. The last time I called for them, many came out and were given a chance to redeem themselves. So those who are unrepentant are definitely not deserving of our mercy. My wolf will fish them out and they will experience pure and utter justice.” He finished.

Everyone looked at him like he had developed two heads. Well, everyone but the members of the Blood Stone Pack. They had seen him perform the ceremony before and they knew what he was capable of. It will be very difficult to escape the punishment that was coming the way of these traitors.

Right as Black merged with his human, unleashing their Alpha Supreme form, some wolves took off running. The guards took off after them.

“Don't bother chasing them. We are going to give them a head start. If they escape, then they are not guilty in the eyes of the goddess but if they are, the whole pack will tear them to pieces. As we will tear down everything that stands in the way of our unity and prosperity.” Dante boomed, his voice different.

He let go of Taylor's hands and began making the call.

One by one, his true pack responded to his howl, and some began looking around, wondering why everyone was quiet. The link he had created only connected to those who had not and will never betray them.

And those with dirty hands but a stubborn personality thought he was incapable of fishing them out.

Then the pack began noticing it. The chaos began. Brothers discovering their fellow brothers were traitors, mothers seeing that their children participated in the destruction of their once enviable pack, elders who were once respected, separated for their crimes and so it went.

One by one, they were separated from the rest. All seventeen of them. Three Elders included.

“Which of you tried to help Seth escape?” Taylor asked as they began shaking, scared of what would happen next.

No one responded.

“If my mate asks you a question, you bloody answer it!” Dante roared, his aura pouring out.

Everyone bared their necks in submission except his mate.

“Alpha, it's Joey. Seth promised to return his mate to him if he got to the other side” one of the men confessed under pressure.

“What happened to your mate?” Taylor asked the man who was shaking like a leaf.

“Our master said she has more prospects than I do and she'll be more useful there than here. He refused to take me because I wasn't strong enough and he didn't take undeserving wolves to his pack. I've been miserable ever since. They have been taking turns with her for months now and she doesn't even have a choice from what her wolf tells me. I agreed to it so he could let her come back to me” he told them, tears pouring from his eyes.

“You weren't here when my mate was coming to rescue me? Why didn't you go with them?”

“I was scared they were going to kill her if we got caught”

“So you didn't have confidence in your Alpha. Nice” one of the loyal elders said, anger clearly written across his features.

“I was told to poison his wolf earlier so I suspected he wouldn't be able to do anything.”

Dante had to hold back his wolf from chewing him up instantly.

“I think we've had enough of this. You all have been convicted and you will begin to run. Between us and the moon goddess, justice will be served. You have ten minutes.”

They were looking at him like he had sprouted another head until one of the traitor's mother screamed at him.

“Run, you idiot! Run!” She pushed him away, tears streaming down her face.

That was when the rest of them understood what was about to happen.

“I appreciate every single one of you who have remained over these trying times which our pack has gone through. We will hunt them down and they will feel our wrath!” Dante roused their spirits.

“Yes Alpha!”

“We will show no mercy as they have shown no remorse! Today, we put an end to their lives so they will not have the chance to torment us again!”

“Yes Alpha!”

“Shift!” He commanded their wolves.

And when the timer went off, they began to chase.

The pack ran through the forest, the sound of their feet hitting the forest ground scaring every other animal to utmost silence.

When they finally caught the last traitor, he was about to cross the river. It was a gruesome process but to wolves, this was the way. His wolf will never respect authority if forgiven and that ended their run.

“I did not enjoy any of that so, who's in the mood for a real hunt? My wolf smelt some very grown elk on the east side of the pack. Who's in?” Dante announced in the pack link.

This greatly shocked the Night Howler's Pack members. Their Alpha have never hunted with them.

They replied with enthusiasm and excitement, the former gory incident completely forgotten.

Taylor was in the pack with the warriors from Blood Stone Pack and her friends from the Blood Stone Pack as they were not officially a part of the pack.

Suddenly, she felt a sharp stab of pain, her whole body tense with it. She doubled over in pain and Damian rushed to hold her, right as Black led his pack back from their hunt.

Without any hesitation, he covered the distance in a few seconds and roared at the two of them with betrayal written on his face.

Taylor was in too much pain to care as her head seemed to be splitting in two.

“She's hurting! Calm down and come help her out!” Damian screamed out.

“Alpha, it's actually not what you are thinking. Our Luna suddenly doubled over in pain and he ran to help. But I think you are in a better position to do that” Terrence told him in the link, forcing him to reassess the situation again and that was when he realized what was happening.

“Celia?” He called to her while Taylor screamed
