Gunshots filled the air in the abandoned building as men carrying rifles were terrified running out of the building. It seemed that something or someone was coming out as they kept stealing glances back while running for their lives. Another bang was heard and someone dropped dead on the floor, blood spilling from his mouth, two more bangs and two dropped dead. But the smoke from the guns and the dust that had been scattered soon settled down as someone walked out of the building carrying a girl of about 5 years in his left hand and a gun in his right as he pressed the trigger and shot the last guy dead who was about 40 meters away as the little girl seemed to cling onto him for comfort.
“Don’t worry little one, the bad guys are all dead.” He said consoling the little girl who nodded her head. Now time to get out of here, I thought I had ordered a pick up car 30 minutes ago.” He muttered to himself as he brought out his phone and dialed a number.
“Yo, man. What is popping?” The other guy said as he rolled his eyes and said,
“Michael, I ordered a pickup car 30 minutes ago. Why isn’t it here yet? What the fudge are you doing?” He whispered furiously as Michael replied,
“Come on Mikey chill. Coming in three…two…one.” He said as a limousine popped out from one of the streets and drifted stopping some yards in front of them as a brown haired guy wound down the driver’s window and yelled,
“Try drifting a limousine, Mikey.” He said giving him the middle finger as Mikey quickly covered the girl’s face and gave him one too.
“Get in guys… more are incoming.” He pointed as Mikey quickly entered the back door dropping the little girl comfortably first before closing the door as bullets started to plummet into the car. Luckily it was bullet proof. Michael needed no further prodding as he stepped on the accelerator and hightailed it out of there.
“WooHoo” Michael yelled as Mikey laughed also as they congratulated themselves.
“Dude, you look like something that just came out of a slaughter house.” Michael said noting the bloodstains on his clothes as Mikey shrugged and said,
“Come on, it can’t be that bad. I mean I would probably dispose it and just get a new one. Besided it is better than covered in cow poop.” He said as Michael rolled his eyes and said,
“That was one time…and you pushed me…wait a minute, who is the girl?” Michael asked, realizing for the first time that Mikey had someone woth him.”
“You know for a mafia lord, your level of observation is 0.” Mikey said teasing him as Michael rolled his eyes and said,
“Well, you are the observant Mafia lord, so tell me already. Who is she? Did ypu get someone pregnant and she gave birth to you there. You two look similsr.” He said, as he took a glance and gave a car horn blaring as Mikey yelled at him to keep his eyes on the road.
“Oh fuck you, Mikey.” Michael said turning back as Michael replied,
“She was captured there, just as I was and they were maltreating her. That was what made me reschedule my escape a little bit earlier. To save her, I had to stop playing the scared rich boy crying for his daddy.”
“No wonder, I was abpout to fu….he stopped when he got a glare from Michael and coughed,
“I mean, I got a call…Black got married and also you are needed at the office. Your grandfather is waiting for you and he is not happy.” Michael said as Mikey snapped,
“That bloody effing bastard, he didn’t even call us or invite us. He is so dead when I come for him.” Mikey said pissed off as Michael coughed and said,
“Didn’t you hear that your grandfather is looking for you. Do you have any idea how old people are scary when they are angry…coupled with the fact that your grandfather used to… He ran one of his fingers across his neck driving his point.
“Dude he is my grandfather. The only thing he talks about this day, is providing an heir to the throne….but nevertheless, drive to the company. We can deal with Black later. He has indeed being a thorn on my skin” He said as Michael replied,
“We are already here.” He said pulling at the company before switching off the car.
“Dude we are so…what the hell are we going to do about this? I am covered in blood and this girl and…we should have changed into something better.” Mikey said as Michael got out of the car and said,
“That is a YOU problem. You were the one that went ahead to stain an expensive three piece suit…that I bought. So you are walking into the damned company like that.” He said opening the back door as he carried the girl who had fallen asleep, as Mikey scowled before getting out of the car too and closing the door shut.
“Sometimes I wonder if you are my lover or my best friend?” He said chuckling abit as Michael had a come back.
“And I wonder if you are a CEO or a bloody Mafia Lord. You are totally spoiling the reputation of every serious mafia lords out there.” He said as they started walking into the company getting murmurs and stares from the employees, but it seemed that they were oblivious to it, as they continue to banter between them.
“Oh really, remember who is beneath me, in the overall ranking of Mafia lords in the city.” He said as Michael rolled his eyes and said,
“Excuse me but I so happened to be the NO 4 on the damned bloody list. That is an achievement, don’t you know?” He said as Michael pushed the slifding door and they walked in,
“Yah, it is true…right after Black….Angelico….and ME!” He said smirking as Michael rolled his eyes wishing he could drive a bullet into his best friend’s head.
