they slit your wrists and bleed you out to death.
I got a call from my team three minutes later, they were just sneaking in the victim’s house. By the time we reached the team had already come out and were waiting for future instructions. Two of my members were on the lawn with 2 people tied up. I rushed out of the car to find my third member. Natasha and Davon pointed at the backyard and I jumped over the fence to see Franco, our hacker, with a small boy covered in a huge towel in the middle of the backyard. Before I could take another step, a figure ran past me and took the boy from Davon. The scene sent a shiver down my spine, this was not personal I reminded myself and walked cautiously towards my members.
Chase looked back and me with the boy in his arms and I looked into his broken eyes. This unlocked another type of rage in me.
“I want these two in my basement now.” I ordered and within a second they were shoving them into the van we use for transportation.
“with all due respect Valerie , I can’t have your members be involved in this, we can handle it from now onwards.” Chases father said in the boss tone, which truthfully, didn’t settle well with me.
“family over power.” I reminded him of the old gang’s motto. That’s what my dad always said, “you take care of your family right now. Your sister and her husband need someone in the hospital. And their son needs help.”
“Valerie I’ll need them in my custody. This isn’t up for discussion. It is my family, revenge will be taken by me.” I could not argue with this as it could create problems later on, so I gave in, “I’ll have them transfer to your place as per your instructions, but I will handle information retrieval,” I stared into his eyes then added, “if that is okay with you.”
“I’ll look over this sir.” Anderson said coming up beside me, indirectly vouching for me. After a hesitant breath Chase’s father, Lance, agreed, “You’re using our resources though.”
I glanced at Chase still holding his brother in his arms and rocking 5 year old back to sleep. I walked over to him but he signalled his head in a no. I sent a quick text giving the Dicanto’s warehouse location for transportation and added a reminder scheduling the torture information retrieval days from today.
Suddenly exhaustion hit me hard so I gave my regards to everyone and sat in my car. There was nothing more I could do here.
The two men were given enemas, for dehydration as soon as daylight hit. They were made to sit in their own shit. Their bodies were tied up into agonizing positions, each position meticulously designed to induce excruciating discomfort. Limbs stretched to their limits, muscles strained against the weight of relentless pressure, so their joints would scream in protest. Each moment spent in the stress position chipped away at resolve, eroding the very foundations of identity and willpower. This was going to be fun.
At exactly 12 pm the next day I entered the warehouse. I told my father the situation in the morning and he immediately reached out to his security team to follow me but keep a distance as agreed. We trust the Dicanto's but he has to have caution. Chase stood with his men right outside while I entered with my kit, “welcome boys,” I said while facing the three men. I just needed a name behind their insipid plan.
First punch to the gut. groan
second punch to the face. groan
third punch to the groin. groan
fourth punch to the face again, cause why not.
“you had the guts to attack on of the most dangerous men in town. I hope you can bear the pain I'm going to put you through as a quick death is something you guys don’t deserve” I said and stepped closer to man number one.
“name?” I asked holding a knife to his throat. he just stared at me. I had to find the weaker link between them.
“okay, you want to play like that.” I cut his brachial artery and blood stared gushing out.
“you have from 15 to 60 minutes before you bleed out. Knowing the weakness your body has already been through last night, its most likely to be 15 to 20 minutes, so lets start again. Name” I said louder.
“Carlos.” He said with a shaky breath.
“and who is your partner?”
“mark” he replied
“good.” I smiled and exited the room. I took my phone from one of the guards and texted Mila the names.
When I entered the place the man was about to pass out. I turned to the other man.
“Do you want to save your friend mark?”
He laughed in reply, “he could die and I wouldn’t even blink”
“and why is that?”
