Chapter 3
Hours later, still unsure what I was getting myself into but unable to resist,I was dressed to the nines and hanging onto the arm of the sexiest man in the room,in my opinion.I had yet to get the answer to my question about the mysterious Justin. All Charlie kept saying when I asked was,“You’ll see.”
The room was filled with every member of high society in town.Their attire cost the amount of money I made in a month, plus tips.I felt out of place, but Charlie treated me as an equal, and introduced me around as a close personal friend.
As the evening wore on,there were numerous speeches,as well as an auction.Charlie placed bids on a few items. The starting amount was ten thousand dollars for each piece.
I was hopeful that the whales,or orphans or whatever the hell this event was for would never have to see the self-satisfied smirks on the faces of the bidders. With the exception of Charlie, all around me I saw patrons who were only doing this for the tax break,or the recognition.
Once the evening was over,Charlie escorted me back to his limousine and asked the driver—Trevor—to take us to his place.“Nightcap?”he asked, taking my hand in his and bringing it to his lips to gently kiss the knuckles.
“Yes,please.I think I need it after that event. Not that I don’t appreciate being wined and dined…”I searched for the right word to express my disdain without hurting his feelings, but Charlie beat me to it.
“It was sanctimonious bullshit.”
“Exactly.”
I was curious.“If you feel that way about it,why’d you attend?”
“Because it’s a charity that Justin believes in wholeheartedly, and he had a conflicting engagement. No matter the self-serving drivel of the attendees, they still gave money, and it can be put to good use.”
“Well, since you put it that way…”
We spent the rest of the drive in companionable silence, drinking bottled water from the mini bar in front of us.When westopped,Trevor opened the door and helped me out of the vehicle.
I smiled my thanks and let myself be led inside an opulent home.Speechless,I looked around me at the obvious display of wealthin every piece of furniture, every decoration.Jesus, there were chandeliers?I was way out of my league.
“This…this is your home?”
“Actually,it belonged to my parents,”another voice said, and I turned to see a man that could only be described as beautiful walking up to where we stood in the wide foyer.
While Charlie was blond and green-eyed with chiseled and very masculine features, this man had black hair and silver eyes, with a face that was almost delicate and fragile in its beauty.
Charlie hugged the man to his side and kissed his cheek.“Justin, this is Angie, the girl I told you about.”I’d died and gone to heaven. The two men together were my private fantasies come to life.
Justin smiled and reached out to shake my hand.“The pleasure is mine,Angie.I’ve heard enough about you to be intrigued.Tell me,”he said, keeping my hand in his and pulling me close enough to whisper in my ear.“How long have you had the fantasyof sleeping with two men at the same time?”
****
Is this a joke? How the hell could they know?
“Give the lady a chance to get her wits about her, love,”Charlie said, chiding Justin gently.
What the fuck is going on?
Before I could make a comment,Charlie led me by the hand into a spacious living room, with a wraparound couch that could seat ten people. He led me to the middle of it and pushed me gently onto the plush cushions.
“Drink?”he asked, pulling the ornate silver tray on the glass table before me toward the edge.It had water,a bottle ofgin whose label I didn’t recognize, along with a bucket of ice, some excellent crystal glasses, and a few other items.
“Gin and tonic, please.”I needed something strong to get me through whatever it was that was happening right now.It was like an episode of The Twilight Zone. With sexy bits thrown in.
“You got it.”Charlie made my drink and handed it to me.“Here you go,hon.”I took it from him and drank a few sips. The burn down my throat was good, just the way I liked it.
I leaned back against the couch, calmly arranged my fancy dressaround my legs, and looked at the two men who stood before me,side by side.
“Mind explaining the question you asked me just now?”I asked, twirling the ice in my glass in an effort to appear calm and cool.I hoped the movement masked my trembling fingers.
“Forgive me,”Justin said.“I didn’t mean to startle you.Charlie and I,we don’t do this often anymore, but every once in a while,we stumble upon someone who seems amenable to participating in a ménage.”
“But,”I interrupted,“how did you…what was it about me that made you think I would even be interested in something like this?”Just because I was interested, didn’t mean I was ready to admit to such a thing.Out loud.
Charlie jumped in.“It was your reaction when I asked you out on a date. You’d assumed I was gay or bi,and I could almost hear the fantasies running around in your head, though you tried hard to hide them. You were taken aback, and instantly on the defensive when I called you out on the state of your underwear.Admit it,Angie. The idea of being with two men turns you on.”
Could I admit it?It would make me more vulnerable than I had ever been in my life.It was well and good that I wished for an experience like this, but did I have the guts to actually do it,for real?Or was I a fraud? Was this that“something”that hadbeen missing from my past relationships?I was so confused.
Suddenly,I felt the couch dip on either side of me,and realized that Justin and Charlie had taken a seat, making me the girl in the middle.
“I know this must be a little frightening for you,”Charlie said, pushing some of my shoulder-length blond hair behind my ear.“Your deepest desires are on display and it’s uncomfortable. But we won’t rush you,or ask you to do anything you don’t want.If this is truly not your thing, then we understand completely.Right,Justin?”
I felt a warm hand on my leg and looked at Charlie’s boyfriend.“Absolutely,”Justin replied.“Hell,if it would make you feel better, you can just watch us tonight. We love an audience when we’re making love, from time to time. We’d be honored to have you as our voyeur.”
I finished my drink,the alcohol already affecting my decision-making abilities,and weakening my resolve.“I don’t know…”
“All you have to do is watch, love,”Justin said, gently running his hand over the thin material of the dress where it lay on my thigh.“Come with us to the bedroom.”He leaned in and murmured into my ear.“There’s a chair in the corner. You can see everything from there, promise.”His lips were soft onmy cheek, and my thighs trembled.
Both men stood and then each held out a hand to pull me up.“Remember, you can leave at any time,”Charlie said.“Trevorwill take you home. There’s no pressure.”They hugged me between them and we walked together up the winding staircase tothe master bedroom.
