Chapter 16

We looked hard at each other and he immediately recognized who that grunt belonged to. He pulled my hand while running out of the Tower and told me to stay inside the castle.

"It's Aries!" he recognized.

"Stay here, Crema. Don't leave the castle!" he ordered.

"No. I will go with you whether you want or not, Alpha" I insisted.

He just shook his head and sternly told the guards not to let me out. I was so annoyed with him but I couldn't catch him because he ran quickly to get to where Aries was.

I was restless while waiting for him to return with Aries. I saw Martha running towards me. She was obviously worried and invited me out of the castle to go see Aries.

"I think their group was attacked by enemies,"she said worriedly.

"Come join me, Crema. Aries needs my help,"she invited.

I immediately stopped her and informed her that Alpha Dior strictly forbids us to leave the castle. And it disgusts me to think that I'm waiting here waiting for them to come back. I don't know why I was worried at that time .It's annoying to feel this feeling.Even though I want to go back to my room and rest, I can't.

A few moments later, the gate suddenly opened and the bloody Aries appeared in front of us while riding a wolf that was none other than Alpha Dior. Martha immediately ran up to him and grabbed his face. Alpha Dior changed form as a human and summoned some of the members of their pack to take Aries to the hospital. He approached me and smiled but I just glared at him. I ignored him because of my annoyance.

"I'll come with you, Martha," I said seriously.

We quickly entered the castle to follow Aries as he was taken to a room. We saw the doctor enter and stopped us from entering. Martha was restless as she walked back and forth in front of me.

"Just calm down, Martha. Aries will be okay," I said calmly. Alpha Dior approached us but I ignored him.

I didn't even look at him. I know I shouldn't act like this but my blood really boils for him.

"What happened to Aries, Alpha? Why is he the only one who came back here?" Martha asked worriedly.

"He was the only one who survived from  the group,"Alpha answered sadly.

"Why did they leave? What are they doing in that mess?!" Martha asked firmly. 

"Because it is necessary. One of our rules is that all those who get bonded as mates must be written in the Book of Magnus that is placed in the cave near Silver Creek. It is the male wolf's responsibility to write that on that day on the day of the full moon. I also did not expect this to happen because several times when someone went there and no one was harmed,"he said seriously.

"It's just that the outside of the woundwoods is no longer safe. There are more and more enemies who want to bring down my pack. But I won't let that happen!," he added.

"It's happened, Alpha. Dylan died.And now we don't know what Aries' condition is. So don't say you won't allow that to happen!" Martha responded firmly.

"Are you blaming everything on me, Martha?" Alpha Dior asked firmly.

Martha didn't answer her question right away. Suddenly the door to the room opened and the Doctor came out. Martha immediately came over to ask about Aries' condition.

"How is Aries, Doc?" I asked.

"Right now he needs to rest until his wounds heal. He has a deep wound on his arm," said the doctor.

I heard Martha sigh and I patted her arm to indicate that everything was going to be alright.

We entered the room where Aries was lying on the bed. He hugged Aries tightly while he was sleeping. His eyes slowly opened and looked at me.

While Martha was still hugging him. He slowly moved and Martha let him go. I could see that he was in pain and could not move much. I stopped Martha and told her not to tighten him hug too much because it would hit Aries' wound. She apologized but I was not comfortable while Aries was staring at me.Before Martha noticed it, I said goodbye and left the room.

When I went out the door, I saw Alpha Dior sitting deep in thought. I heard him sigh and he turned to me. We stared at each other for a while at that time. But I immediately looked away from him and walked out of the corridor to my room. But I heard him call my name so I stopped.

"Crema, are you mad at me?" he asked.

 "What do you think?!" I said facing him. 

"Why are you mad? What did I do wrong to make you mad?!" he asked firmly

"Wait, are you raising your voice at me?" I asked with raised eyebrows.

"It's not like that. But I really don't understand why you act like that," he answered.

"You left me even though I wanted to go with you, what do you think I feel?" I asked.

"I didn't take you with me because I didn't want you to get hurt. Should you be upset about that, Crema?," he asked.

"It's my obligation to protect my pack. It's also my obligation to protect you, so I hope you understand that, Crema," he added. 

No matter what he said, I was still annoyed with him. I know I shouldn't have reacted like that. But I couldn't stop myself so I said goodbye to him. I walked to my room and I met the woman named Jemma again. We just stared at each other for a while at that time and I went straight to my room. But before I could enter I heard her say something that made my blood boil.

"You thought it was an angel but that woman is a demon.She deceives the Alpha!"

 I couldn't stop myself from rushing her and she was very surprised by what I did. She couldn't move while I held her hair tightly.She moaned loudly and suddenly Alpha Dior appeared in front of us.

He stopped me and held my hand. I was hurt when he held my hand tightly.I was surprised by my reaction and asked what happened.

"Let me go!" I yelled at him. 

"What is going on here? Why are you hurting Jemma?" he asked me with a frown.

 "Why do you just side with that girl without asking me what the real reason is?!" I asked firmly.

"I'm not taking sides, Crema. Tell me what happened," he said seriously.

I thought of crying in front of him so that he would feel sorry for me and make him mad with Jemma. Maybe what that woman would say to him would make him believe.

 "She said something to ruin me.She even accuses me and says I'm a demon, Alpha '' I said crying.

Alpha was surprised by what I said and looked hard at Jemma. Jemma couldn't answer right away because she was afraid of Alpha Dior's angry face.

"Is this true, Jemma? Is it true that you told him badly?!" he asked Jemma with a frown.

"Uhmm," Jemma stammered.

"What did Crema do to you? Why are you talking to her like that?! What's your problem?!" he asked angrily.

"He's just deceiving you, Alpha. He doesn't deserve to be Luna!" Jemma replied firmly. 

My blood warmed more and more for this woman. I wanted to rush her but I just let Alpha Dior get angry with her face to face. 

“Really?! Who deserves to be Luna? You?!' Alpha said firmly.

"Remember, Jemma, no matter what damage you do to Crema. I will still choose her to be my Luna, not you!,"Alpha Dior replied seriously.

I could clearly see Jemma's anger when she looked at me badly. She ran away from us and was obviously really hurt by what she heard from Alpha Dior.

"Are you okay?" he asked in a cold voice. 

"Thank you for taking my side over that girl. She is a liar, Alpha, and she will do everything to defame me. Don't ever believe what she says and what she will say," I answered.

"I know and I never believed her. I know she wants to be my Luna but I don't see myself raising a child with her. You're the only one, Crema. You're the only one I see," he said seriously.

"How can you be sure that I am really your mate? I mean are you really sure you like me?" I asked.

"Your scent, Crema. I'm sure it's you," he answered with a smile.

"I know you feel it too. But it's sad to say you're not ready yet," he added.

"Then you should wait for me," I said with a smile.

"Of course, so you're not mad at me anymore? Do you already forgive me?" he asked with a smile

I didn't realize that I lost my sullenness towards him. He took my hand and hugged me. I took a deep breath and felt that hug for a while.But I was surprised to hear the Greek words he said to me so I immediately let go of his embrace. What does it mean?
