Chapter 12 Derek

I was walking to my locker that's when Mia came running to me she is pretty and we became friends in my English class when a guy tripped her and she fell on the ground then let's say it didn't end up good for the guy and I had to drag her out of the classroom to calm her that's when we become the best friend

She is tall like 5 feet 3 ya I know she is taller than me makes me a little jealous but who cares it not my fault it's my parents so I let it slide, she has tan skin, blue eyes blond hair.

"Hey," she said breathlessly

"Hey there slow down," I said looking at her

"Did you hear?" She asked making her eyes go big

"About what ?" I asked frowning

"There's a new kid," she said dreamily

"There is a new kid in the middle of the semester wow," I said I know the feeling you have to study a lot to settle in and let alone make friends

"You have to see him. he is so hot" she said fanning herself with her hands, I just shook my head I have a crazy best friend

"Oh really? " I asked amused

"Really " she and the bell rang

"Let's go before we get detention," I said and linked my arm with her and we went to class

"I hope the new guy is in our class," she said dreamily

"Stop doing that you look like a lost puppy, " I said laughing at her face

The Teacher came in and all of us settled down I and Mia sat in the middle of the class

As our English Teacher started with his lesson the door opened and in came a very well built guy with dark brown hair, pale skin, strong jawline, and a very familiar blue eyes

As he came in his eyes instantly met mine and I knew the devil standing in front of me

"Derek?" I yelled its been so long since the last time I saw him. He is my childhood best friend my diaper buddy

His parents and my partners were the best of best friends they met when they were in high school and since they were so close we practically grew up together.

I don't feel attracted to him, sure his looks can be hard to resist but I know him way better than anyone else. so no thanks

"Hope?" He asked totally shocked

"You know each other, " asked Mia shocked as well

"Yeah we are childhood friends, " I said while not taking my eyes off of him

"Ahem" My English Teacher cleared his throat to catch our attention " you must be the new student?" He asked lifting his eyebrow

"Oh yes well I am Derek Marco the new student, " he said showing off his perfect set of teeth which gave a dazzling smile and I heard few gasps from girls and some groans from the guys

Which made me shake my head ' typical Derek ' I thought while shaking my head

"You might wanna take a seat Mr. Marco I am about to start my class, " he said dismissing him

He casually walked ignoring the calls from the desperate girl and took a seat next to me I just stared at him

He turned to me with a smirk on his face" what" he said and I just shook my head

"Missed me shorty? " he asked smirking

"Not even a bit duck face," I said coping him

"Yeah me too," he said and looked forward but there was a small smile on his lips

A few classes later it was lunchtime I didn't have any of my friends in my last class, I went straight to my locker and kept my books in and turned only to bump into a hard but familiar chest

"Can I help you? " I said to Derek who was smiling down at me

"Come on are you can't be still angry about that" he whined like a small kid

"I have no idea what you are talking about," I said trying to seem innocent

"I know you're angry on me for leaving you, "he said

"You didn't even say goodbye, " I said pouting

"I know and I am really very sorry about that, " he said rubbing his neck

"It's ok your here it's all that matters but next time you leave without saying goodbye then I won't be responsible for your death," I said narrowing my eyes at him and poking my index finger on his chest

He gulped nervously "can I get my hug now?" He asked innocently I just wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him

I missed him so much we use to have so much fun before he left for Africa to live with his uncle to learn something about animals, him and his love for his animals

We went to the cafeteria hand in hand and went to my regular table everyone stopped talking and all eyes were on us

"Who is this? and why are you holding hands?" Blake asked clearly irritated 'what's wrong with him'

"You are the new guy right," said Jen asked blushing a little aw someone has a crush

"Guys this is Derek my childhood best friend we grew up together and he is going to stay at my place, " I said happily

"That's nice"

"Finally a new guy do you play basketball?"

"We can show you around? "

"Why is he staying at your place? " asked a very annoyed Blake

Which stopped all the other questions, everyone gave him a look which he ignored his gaze was focused on me silently telling me to change my answer

"Because I said so" I snapped at him

"But why?" He asked through his teeth

"Do you have any problem with that?" I was angry now

"Yes" he yelled and banged his fist on the table

"So?"I yelled with the same power

"Your fighting for him against me? " he yelled on my face

"I don't see any problem with that. I know him better than you so just deal with it " I yelled I don't see why is it bothering him so much

He just got up furiously and left without another word

"Is he on drugs? " I asked J who was looking very amused

"Maybe," he said and shrugged

"Your boyfriend doesn't really like me, " said Derek who was quiet during all this drama

"He is not my boyfriend, " I said furiously "he is not that lucky "

He just kept quiet and went to get his lunch I was not that hungry

The day went by but I didn't see Blake the whole day which was a good sign it saved some of my blood from being boiled

"Let's go I have to get my stuff and shift it in your house," Derek said walking to his car which was a black mustang wow

"I spoke with Grace and she is more than happy, " I said getting in the passenger seat

"I knew she has some feelings for me," he said winking at me

"She is a way to old for you, "I said shaking my head

"I like old women," he said smirking I just hit his arm

"Ow what was that for," he said rubbing his arm playfully glaring at me

"That was for hitting on my sister you jerk," I said

"Whatever you're just jealous, " he said smirking and started his car

"Jealous me? " I said placing my hand on my heart faking hurt "never in a million years"

"Who was he?" He asked seriously

"Who," I asked confused

"That guy in the cafeteria, " he said pulling in my driveway

"That's Blake he is just a friend, " I said getting out

"Just a friend she says" he mumbled

"It's true," I said my hand on my hips

"Whatever sails your boat," he said picking out his suitcase

I huffed and opened the door and showed him his room and went to my room to freshen up

But my mind was occupied by a certain jerk also know as Blake
