Chapter 24

Chapter 24

"The cure is not here, someone took the cure before we arrived here, someone did not want the alpha king to survive the poison. They came here before we did."

Aurora said as she stared at the empty space, who could have wanted the king dead, the king is someone so fearful that even his enemies cannot strike him so who wants him dead in his pack, Aurora thought.

Quickly she headed towards the door.

"Where are you heading to Aurora?"

Phoenix inquired, still confused at the events unfolding before her.

"We need to find a cure for the king, he can't die.'

Aurora said, for the first time, she felt dread wash through her body, she couldn't grasp why she was so scared but she was scared, extremely scared of seeing the king die.

"You are scared of losing the king?"

Phoenix asked with shock, she could feel her emotions, dread, fear, anger.

"Yes and I do not know why I am angry but I need to save the king, we need to save the king."

As she stretched her hands to open the door a voice stopped her.

" Luna, you are here?"

Eliza said Aurora turned to stare at the man with a black robe, his deep eyes scared her as usual with his normal Aura.

"Ooh I came here looking for a cure to heal the king."

Aurora said, fully focusing her attention on him, Eliza stared at her inquisitively.

"The king is sick?"

Eliza asked, his voice was filled with shock.

"Yes you have no idea about it?"

Aurora asked, surprised that the King's Spiritualist had no idea what was going on.

"No I don't."

Eliza said, giving them an inquisitive stare.

"I need to leave?"

Aurora said, every minute spent here will reduce the time in which the king will survive and they need to find the cure for the king.

"You can heal the King, you just have to believe in your powers."

Eliza said, his eyes weaved deeply into her and she trembled at his remarks.

Quickly, pushing the door open, she left the library, his words still causing an array of confusion on her.

"He knows who we are."

Phoenix said, her voice was calm and she didn't look perturbed.

"Is that a good or a bad thing?"

Aurora asked, she did not know where she was heading to, she looked totally confused.

"I don't know but we need answers now."

Phoenix said and Aurora felt her body tensed at her words, she did not know what her wolf was planning.

"We only have until three hours thirty minutes to find a cure for the alpha."

Aurora said, but her wolf did not respond to her, she had grown silent and she couldn't feel her presence any longer, she shuddered at that thought, had her wolf ran off again?

She kept walking as she thought of what had happened to her wolf and how to cure the alpha king.

Suddenly, when she looked up, she didn't know where she was, she was in a dark room, empty with just a mirror laying around on the dirty wall.

"Where am I?"

She questioned, as she dragged her feet towards the mirror, and when she stared at the mirror she looked different, the image she saw at the mirror was a version of her that she had never seen before, her hair was white, her clothes white, her face looked so beautiful, suddenly she saw the person blinked, she had her a smile which didn't come from her and she heard her whoever was behind the mirror say,

"Touch your Mark!"

As if on inquisition, her eyes landed on the moon mark on her arms, and she touched it without questioning and like a whirlwind, she found herself being sulked into a hole and she tried to scream but she couldn't.

When she opened her eyes, a bright light shrouded her eyes but slowly she adjusted to it.

Aurora looked around and she found herself in the most beautiful place she had never been before, this was a place made of nature, the green grass, the lovely trees and then the beautiful birds which sang in the sky.

"Where am I?"

She said, a feeling of dread washed through her body.

"You are home Daughter."

A familiar voice said which made her trembled, slowly she turned to see who the voice belonged to and she was shocked to see the woman in the mirror right before her, the woman who absolutely looks like her but this time, she wore a silver crest crown which have a symbol of the exact moon mark which is on her arms at the top of her crown.

"Who are you?"

Aurora asked, as she gave her an inquisitive stare, she walked backwards, scared of whatever intentions she had in mind.

"Do not be afraid, I am your mother."

The woman said with a charming smile which could make anyone fall to their knees and fall in love

"My mother?"

Aurora asked, looking utterly confused.

"Yes, and I need you to save the King."

The woman said, ignoring the look of confusion on her face.

"My mother, you do not look like my mother."

Aurora said, even though this woman looked so much like her, she was not her mother, her mother had died when she was so young but yet, she could capture every image of her, her smile down to her beautiful voice.

"I know you have a lot of questions but I am your true mother, the Moon Goddess."

The woman said, Aurora staggered back with fear,

'The moon goddess'

She thought

'Her mother?'

She thought again, what was going on, was she hallucinating or something.

"You are not hallucinating Aurora, we need to save the king."

A voice, differently calm and alluring said and when Aurora looked up, she was shocked to see a white beautiful wolf with a mark of the moon on her forehead. The wolf had charming blue eyes like hers with beautiful claws of white and an inviting aura which made her not to resist the wolf.

Aurora's eyes widened at the realization.

THE WOLF WAS HERS

"Phoenix?"

Aurora asked, with shock she approached her, she stooped at her level and as if contemplating if she should touch her or not, but she succumbed to it, she couldn't resist the wolf.

"It's Me Aurora, your beautiful Phoenix."

Phoenix said, embracing the warmth of Aurora's arms as she snoozed into her scent.

"You knew all along, how are we in different forms, is this why you said you do not want the others to know about, is this why you do not want the others to know about me having a beautiful wolf like you."

Aurora said, now letting go of her, she felt so overwhelmed, a lot of questions were on her mind and she couldn't grasp which to ask first or which answers to receive first.

"We need to save the King right now, you can get the answers to your question later."

"And how are we going to save the King, we lost the cure remember."

Aurora said, now turning to stare at the Moon goddess and then back to her wolf, she gave them an inquisitive look then she knew there was something that they weren't telling her.

"This will sound weird but you have to believe me, the Alpha King Adam is your second chance mate and your kiss is the only thing that can cure him, you are the healer Daughter, you are the cure to everything and you are dangerous to our enemies."

The moon goddess said, and her words shook her to the core.
