Chapter 13

"It's been a week since she last met with the king. This week was going to be the wedding week, and her life has been so boring in the past one week. Even though Lina has been constantly there, she was still not used to the environment. She has been informed by Lina that the king had told them never to allow her out from her room except to eat her meals.

But today was different; she had requested to use the library, and she was given the permission to use it.

"Does the alpha king not have any family?" Aurora questioned. She couldn't figure out why she has been thinking about him when she was meant to never even mention his name from her lips. She has come to despise him, but she can't do anything; she is but a rat while he is a lion.

"He has a brother and a sister. His brother mostly stays in the human land, and he is the opposite of Alpha Adam, while his sister, no one knows her whereabouts. If she is still alive, no one has ever heard any news about her for years now," Lina said. Now they were leaving the passage that leads out from the king's room.

"And the king is not concerned about this?" Aurora asked. Lina gave her a light frown, and then she waved her head.

"I guess he stopped looking when he realized that she was truly lost. There's no hope of finding her. The alpha king really wasn't like this before; he was never cold, bitter, and devilish the way people placed it. Everything had changed when he got..."

"Now who is this, if not for the king's whore?"

A voice hissed, cutting Lina from her words. Her voice was so sharp and sinister. Aurora looked up to see a young lady staring at her. She looked a bit older than her with deep dark hair, which looked so properly taken care of, her deep golden eyes staring daggers into her, and her skin was so flawless. The young woman was a goddess, and she wondered what she had done to incite these glares from her.

"Who are you?" Aurora asked, but it seems as if she had asked the wrong question because all it took was a single breath, and she saw the young lady standing right in front of her, eyeballs to eyeballs.

"You have never been informed about me, but I know you. This is so ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. You will get to know who I am very soon when you see me in the arms of the king. He is mine and no one else, so you should know your position in this palace or you do not want to live long," the woman said and quickly she left.

Aurora stared at her, her eyes widely agape; she couldn't believe what she heard.

"Who is she?" Aurora asked, still shocked.

"Her name is Eva; she's the King's mistress. She's one of the strongest female warriors who fight side by side with the king, and her father owns the highest position in the elders' clan," Lina said. Aurora nodded her head slightly; she was a threat to Eva. She thought being quiet would prevent anyone from knowing her existence.

"You will be meeting with the people of the pack as from now; they need to know the kind of woman their future Luna will become," Lina said. They had arrived at the library.

"Has the king not finalized locking me in my chambers?" Aurora said sarcastically.

"The king can never stop you from exploring the castle apart from the dark grounds, where no one is allowed to venture for no reason known to us," Lina said. She opened the door to the library, and Aurora stepped into the library.

'The dark grounds,' Aurora thought.

"I will leave you in the care of the guards; you are protected from any harm. I shall be leaving. If you need anything, you can use this cellphone to call me; my number has been saved in there," Lina said, bowing down to her. She left the library.

Aurora stared again at her retreating figure, and she turned around to look at the guards who stood at each corner of the library. They all looked creepy with their dark suits and dark shades.

Slowly, she walked towards some of the shelves as she raked her hands through each book. Then she found a book that caught her attention, which was boldly written "The Dark Dracula."

She smiled at what she saw; she had always wanted to read this book but never found it. She had heard short tales about it from chapters people read but never got to read it.

As she opened each chapter to read, every word she read sounded so real, and she felt her palms sweat at the actions and horrors that happened. How the great Dracula had turned people into beasts, taken over the earth, and made everyone fear him.

"You found the right one," a voice said to her, which quickly made her look up at whoever was talking.

A man who wore a hooded clothing stood there, and he looked creepy. Aurora looked around her and noticed that the guards never really cared.

The man removed his hood, and she saw his face clearly. He was a little bit old with bald hair, and he had no expression on his face.

"I'm the king's spiritualist; I mostly stayed in the library, and I have been looking for this book but never found it, and you found it at first trial. You are so lucky. You must be the king's wife," the man said. It wasn't a question, and Aurora stared at the book for a while and then she stretched her hands to him.

"Here, you can have it; I will return to take it."

The man looked at her and then took the book from her. Then he said, "My name is Eliza. Come let me show you something."

He walked towards a huge table and opened a page of the book. Aurora followed after him.

"The Dark Dracula got defeated by the very woman he loved; he failed in his mission because he had fallen in love, something he never wished for. She was his angel, and he was her demon. He wanted to use her powers to control the world and create a dark world for his woman, the light. But she wasn't going to sacrifice the world for her own gain. She betrayed him, found his weakest point, and killed him and everything he built," he said, pointing at the page of the book which had a picture of a man and woman in it with some demons surrounding them.

"Why are you telling me this? Why are you searching for the book if you possess so much information on it?" Aurora asked. This spiritualist was one hell of a creepy guy, Aurora thought again.

Eliza stared at her, with a light smile on his face, and quickly his face changed to one of seriousness, and he whispered.

"Because the book wants me to find you. You are the one, Aurora; you are special, different, and dangerous."
