Chapter 10
"Alpha Adam, she survived the virus; luckily for her, her body took the virus and there's no virus found in her," the doctor said. He looked so surprised and shocked. He had never experienced this in his entire lifetime ever since the virus started getting rampant.
Adam looked at him with a questioning look. There was no way that was possible; she survived the virus, and she never transformed into one of them.
"What do you mean she survived the virus? She should have been dead by now or transformed; her wolf is out of existence, and she doesn't look strong to you," Alpha Adam said. Slowly he walked towards her, checked her pulse; she was breathing normally, and her body temporarily was normal. She just needed to rest for a little.
"I feel so confused and shocked as you are, but I can't find the virus in her. Her body seems to have absorbed and destroyed the virus, which has never happened before," the doctor said again as he showed Alpha Adam the X-ray of her blood.
There was no way she was special and had something peculiar about her.
"Keep this between us; no one should know or hear or what you have seen or learned. If by chance the news gets out from this room, well, I don't need to say much, but you know your chances of survival are zero," Alpha Adam said in a calm voice that yet shook the doctor as he quickly nodded his head slowly.
"Yes, Alpha King, no one will hear of this, and she will wake up the next day; she needs to rest," the doctor said. Quickly, he grabbed his equipment and left the room in a hurry.
Alpha Adam stared at Aurora, the first time he had stared at her charming blue eyes back in the forest. Her eyes were so bright and filled with hope of something, and now he knows what hope she has-the hope of escaping.
A maid walked into the room with a towel and a bowl containing warm water.
"Clean her up," he said, since there was blood all over her; he couldn't leave her like that.
"Yes, Alpha Adam," the maid said, and he left the room.
On his way out, a body ran into him; it was none other than Eva, his whore.
"Alpha Adam, I was about heading to your room, and I heard that you have returned back to the pack," Eva said, as she quickly threw her body on him. But Adam quickly disentangled her from his body as he growled with anger, quickly slamming her body against the wall, he whispered right into her ears.
"Never ever run your body against mine without my permission," Alpha Adam said as he hissed with anger. His words and his baritone voice made Eva shiver with fear; she had never seen him get so angry with her. He always loved it when she seduced him, but now, he seemed so uninterested, unless the rumors she heard were true.
"You brought a weakling girl into the pack as your Luna, so the rumors were true. She's in your room now, and I can perceive the scent of another werewolf on you, a female werewolf. You left me, a strong werewolf who is capable of ruling the pack, sides with you and bear you strong pups, to get married to an outsider from a weak pack," Eva growled with anger. Her voice was filled with bitterness, anger, and jealousy.
Adam slowly loosened his grip on her; Eva is the daughter of the most respected elder of the pack, and he does not fear him either. But he wouldn't like to complicate things with the elders; he hated having elders' meetings.
"She is nothing; she will be like a Luna to the pack but nothing to me, and you... Will be the one I shall fuck right here and always; you are my whore," Alpha Adam said. This time, he held her neck so passionately, and by the looks she was throwing him, she enjoyed everything he said.
"Fuck me, Alpha Adam," she said, and quickly she grasped his collar and smashed her lips on his. Quickly he pushed her onto the wall, and she wrapped her legs around his torso; he could feel his manhood was already reacting to their intimacy, and his breath was getting rough. He was going to bang her in his hallway, and he will make her scream, but he wasn't going to fuck her for pleasure; he wanted to fuck her because he intends to remove every thought of Aurora out of his mind; he needed to stop thinking of her and think straight.
"Alpha Adam..."
A familiar voice said, slowly Alpha Adam stopped his intimacy with Eva who groans with anger at whoever that had interrupted them.
"I am sorry for intruding on this moment with you, but the council wishes to have a meeting with you the moment I arrived at the pack, and it sounded urgent," Oliver said again, bowing his head. He hated the king's whore because she was nothing more than a power digger.
"Can't you see that I'm busy with Alpha Adam? You would have left when you saw us, but yet you decided to interrupt because you hate the sight of me, Beta Oliver," Eva said with a heavy grudge in her heart.
"Eva, enough, you can leave. I will call you when I need you again," Alpha Adam said with a solemn look on his face.
Eva groaned at him before throwing a heavy glance at Oliver, and quickly she left her passage.
"I am sorry..."
"You do not have to say sorry. I needed a distraction," Alpha Adam said as he walked out from the hall with Oliver behind him.
"What's the issue, Oliver?" Alpha Adam asked as he walked towards the council hall; he hated council meetings and this seemed urgent.
"The council members have heard whispers that you brought in the Luna already, and they are wondering why no one saw her when she passed by, and that obviously meant you brought her in with your powers, and they need to be sure their future Luna is hale and hearty," Oliver said, standing right behind Alpha Adam.
"Now they need to be taught a lesson."
The door to the meeting hall opened, and Alpha Adam with Oliver stepped into the room, which made everyone stand up in respect. The meeting hall is different from the throne room, and it is built with twelve chairs for the twelve elders and a big throne which has the head of a werewolf and the symbol of the mountain goddess; the chair has thorns all around it.
"Who called a meeting?" Alpha Adam asked; he needed to know who had instigated the other elders to have an unannounced meeting without his knowledge.
"I did, Alpha Adam," an elder named Liam said. Alpha Adam gave him a silent stare. Of course, why haven't he thought of this; the father of his whore, Liam, was the one who instigated this. His daughter had forced him to have a meeting with him to question his decision.
"And what's the agenda of the meeting, Elder Liam?" Oliver said, standing right behind Alpha Adam.
"To question if the future Luna is hale and hearty," Liam said. He hated being in this position with the Alpha King; the man is a man filled with so much reverence who does not tolerate foolishness questioning.
"She is; why are you asking this question, Liam?" Alpha Adam said. He already knew why but wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth.
"Because we never saw you brought her in. She would have been welcomed with honor as the new Luna, but it wasn't so because you had used your powers to bring her into the pack unbeknownst to the entire pack," Liam said. He definitely wasn't making any sense.
Alpha Adam gazed at him, slowly scratching his mustache.
"You are engaging in the alpha's business, my family's business," Alpha Adam said. He saw as the elder's eyes widened in fear. It was against the pack rule for the elders to involve themselves in the alpha's personal business, likewise for the alpha to interfere in the elders' business unless it's something that needs the alpha's attention, and this obviously does not need their attention.
"I'm sorry, Alpha King. I won't try this again," Liam said, quickly bowing down on the ground, and the other elders bowed down too.
"Stand up!" Alpha Adam said. He watched as they stood up; slowly he came down from his throne and walked towards Elder Liam. He stood so close to him and whispered into his ear.
"Never allow your daughter to put you in danger, Elder Liam, unless you won't see the break of the light the next time that you try to interfere in my business," Alpha Liam said. He watched as the old man's eyes opened, and quickly he turned to look at the rest who were too shaken to look at him.
"The meeting is dismissed," he said, and quickly he watched them dispersed and left the room in a hurry.
"What now, Alpha King?" Oliver asked, as he stood behind him.
"We wait for Aurora to wake up," he said with no emotions on his face.
