Chapter 18 Easy?

Chapter 18 Easy?
Third Person POV

“Lucien, I don’t know what you're talking about!” Heide shouted as he sat there, but Lucien just stayed silent, sitting on the table in front of him. “You know that if you do something to me, my people won’t just sit and won’t do nothing to avenge me.” He added, and Lucien smirked. “I know how hard you are trying to please your father, do you think if he learn that you declared war on us, he will still forgive you?” Heide said and smirked while looking at Lucien.

But Lucien just nodded his head with a smile on his face. “Now I understand your father.” He said that made the man frown. He took his phone out and dialed someone, as his phone ring he placed it in front of Heide, who looked confused as she looked at Lucien and his guards, who were still pointing guns.

“Hello, Mr. Allard.” A familiar voice from the other end of the call said.

Heide's eyes immediately widen as he recognizes his father’s voice. “Dad! Dad, it’s Allan! Lucien Allard is planning to kill me!” He shouted, but Lucien just chuckled in amusement.

“Mr. Allard, just like what we talked about, nothing has changed.” Heide’s father said, ignoring his son’s cry for help.

“Hey dad! Can’t you hear me? What are you talking about?” Allan Heide said as he slapped his fist on the table. “Are you stupid?! Why are you still making deals with him!” He said like a ki,d making Lucien shake his head while Basil hides his smile.

He knows Lucien, and he knows that he won’t take any steps that will put himself in a bad situation. Allan Heide is far from dumb if he thinks that his boss will be scared by just mentioning his Father, Davros Allard.

Basil watched Lucien's face darken as Allan Heide talked on the phone. Basil saw his boss already in a different form, and he knew that the beast inside him was about to be unleashed. He’s not certain about the changes that happen to Lucien, but he knows that this is just what they need if he is going to go against his father, whether it’s because of Martel or not. This is what they need.

“Your father and I already had a deal. No one is coming to get you. Am I tom?” Lucien said, smiling as he talked to Allan Heide.

“Yes.” Heide’s father answered.

“Dad! What are you talking about?! This isn’t funny!” Allan Heide shouted as she slammed his hand on the table and stood up. “Do something now!” He shouted.

“How dare you try to tell me what to do!” Tom Heide shouted from the other line. “You did this to yourself. I told you not to do anything stupid! But I can’t teach a person not to be stupid if he’s already born like that. Lucien, my hands are clean here. Just make sure that you follow our agreement.” He spoke again.

“Don’t worry, they're on their way to you,” Lucien said as he placed his arm around Heide’s shoulder.  “Well, I think it’s time for farewell.” He added,

Heide removes himself from Lucien and looks around, “What do you mean? No, you won’t kill me. He---he won’t let that happen! I’m his only son!” He shouted

“Oh, but he did, he promised me that I can’t decide how you will die in exchange for having a place in the shipments of Velatrium transaction in the north,” Lucien said as she pulled out his gun.  “And didn’t you hear about the news? You're not the only son now, your father and your stepmother are expecting a son.” He said, and Allan’s face looked like it had just lost its color.

Lucien could see his sweat starting to drip on his forehead, “Congratulations, by the way, Mr. Heide.”

“Thank you,” Tom Heide answered.

“Well, I need to go now. I have to take care of someone.” Lucien said and immediately ended the call.

“No! No!!” Allan Heide said as he tried to stop Lucien, “You think you can kill me that easily? You’re delusional!” Heide shouted, pulled his gun, and pointed it at Lucien.

“Easy? Who said it’s going to be easy?”

MAELIS COULD smell the smell of food being cooked as she descended the stairs. It’s her 7th day today here, which means she can finally go back home.

“Hey,” She said as she entered the dining area and saw Lucien placing plates on the table.

“That shirt, I didn’t buy that,” he said with a frwn and Mealis quickly answered.

“Oh, yeah, Ahm...I ran out of clothes, so I just borrowed one from Terrence last night.” She explain and Lucien's expression immediately darkened. “You don’t look so happy about that, huh?” She whispered, but it’s enough for Lucien to hear it. “I guess you’re really the jealous type,” she joked, and Lucien glared at her, but she just smiled at him.

“Just sit and eat.” He said, and he sat down to eat.

“So, you’re going to let me leave tomorrow, right? Just like what you said?” She asks as Lucien places bacon on her plate.

“You’re so eager to leave. Why did you and Terrence already plan your rendezvous?” He said with a poker face, making Maelis glare at her.

‘He jokes with a poker face, he’s so lame.’

“Yeah, you want to chaperon?” She joke and Lucien quickly looks at her and glares.

“Suit yourself,” He said and stood up. “I hope you know how to swim, swim your way back.” He said he was about to leave the table.

Maelis quickly grabbed his wrist while laughing. “I’m just kidding, I just really need to go and visit a friend. She must be worried sick about me now.” She said.

‘My mom is.’

“Fine, tomorrow, 11 am.” He said and sat back down.

“But, about the rendezvous…how about you and me?” She said, but Lucien just stayed silent.

“I’ll think about it,” he said.

“Wow, really? You’re acting like the woman now.” She said as she took a bite of her food. Lucien glared at her, making her look away.

BASIL IS STANDING JUST A distance from Lucien and Maelis, watching them quarrel for 30 mins now.

“You said 11, it’s already 12.” Maelis whines.

“Patience,” Lucien said while sitting outside the house.

“I’m losing it,” Maelis whispered. “Lucien, please do something.”

Basil looks at Lucien, there is not a hint of irritation on his face. He couldn’t hide his amazement, he knows him too well that waiting and whining is not his thing, but how can he stay so calm now when he’s always like a bomb to them that is about to explode.

“I’ll do anything, name it. Just take me out of here.” Maelis said as she placed her head on the table in frustration.

“Anything?’ Lucien said, and Maelis immediately looked at him with sparkling eyes.

“Yes! Anything!” She said.

“Okay,” Lucien said, and an evil grinned fear on the corner of his lips, “Go to Terrence and punch him in the face.”

“What?!”
