Chapter 110 Levi's POV

Chapter 110 Levi's POV

I could have sworn everything that happened with my father was straight out of a supernatural action movie.
Apart from the fact that the man who claims to be my father convinced me he needed my blood to save his son , he was wanted by the Police.
Maybe my life was a mess due to his sins.
After we got back from the jungle where my father held me captive, Lucifiel had become unbearable In an annoyingly affectionate way.
I couldn’t walk ten steps without him knowing where I was.it was the same thing with the last time I was kidnapped. If I left a room, he noticed. If I looked tired, food appeared. If I sat down, he somehow ended up sitting beside me. If I stood up, he wanted to know where I was going.
At first I thought it would last a few hours. Then a day. Now it has been three days. Three whole days. And somehow he was getting worse.
“You know you're acting all wired right?”
I looked up from my book. Lucifiel sat across from me. Or rather, he had been sitting across from me until about thirty seconds ago. Now he was sitting beside me. Close enough that our shoulders touched. He didn’t even pretend it was accidental.
“Whats weird about wanting to be close with my boyfriend, or have you forgotten about that already.”
My face felt warm instantly"Stop it. You know that's not what I'm talking about.”
"Don't humans get all clingy with their partners?"
"If we're talking about how it's supposed to be I should be the clingy one not the other way round."
His hand found its way to my hair and brushed through it a few times."There's no rule about who is and who isn't supposed to be. Since you're not then I will be clingy on your behalf."
I groaned in frustration. He looked entirely too pleased with himself. He knew exactly what I was talking about.
The apartment door opened. Derek walked inside carrying several grocery bags. The moment he saw us, he stopped. His eyes moved from me to Lucifiel. Then he sighed dramatically.
“Again?”
“What?”
Derek dumped the bags on the kitchen counter. “At this point I feel like I’m interrupting a relationship every time I enter a room.”
“You live here.”
“I know.”
“Then stop being dramatic.”
“I’m not dramatic." He nodded towards Lucifiel "Look at him.”
I did. Unfortunately,Lucifiel was already looking at me. Derek made a disgusted noise. “Ewe. See? Don't you guys understand the concept of privacy?”
I couldn’t even argue because Derek wasn’t entirely wrong. Since the kidnapping, Lucifiel had become impossible. Not that he would admit it. The man still acted like nothing had changed. Meanwhile he nearly punched a waiter last night because the waiter stood too close to me. And he was the one who insisted on taking me out to dinner. According to him, the waiter was suspicious. The waiter was seventeen, the only suspicious thing about him was how bad he was at carrying drinks.
Derek disappeared into the kitchen. Several minutes later Rahul arrived. And immediately walked straight into Derek. Literally. The two collided near the doorway spilling coffee everywhere.
Derek jumped backward. “What the hell?”
“Sorry.”
“You spilled coffee on me.”
“I said sorry.”
“You should be more careful.”
Rahul blinked. His gaze moved down before coming back up. “I was carrying coffee.”
"Stop it."
"Stop what?" Rahul said smirking.
I watched the entire thing. Then I looked at Lucifiel. “They’re flirting again.”
“They are.”
Neither of them seemed aware we could hear them. Or maybe they simply didn’t care anymore. Honestly, it could go either way.
Rahul grabbed a towel and Derek immediately reached for the same one. Their hands touched and both of them froze. The silence lasted three whole seconds. Then Derek snatched his hand away like he’d touched fire.
They're soo cute to watch for real.
I sat up straighter. Lucifiel noticed. “Don’t even think about it.”
“I’m not doing anything.”
“You’re about to do something.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I grinned.
“You absolutely do.”
Before he could stop me, I stood. Then walked into the kitchen.
Derek immediately narrowed his eyes. “What do you want?”
“Nothing.”
“that sounds like an absolute lie."
Rahul looked exhausted already. Which was fair. Living around Derek probably qualified as a full-time job.
I leaned against the counter. “So.”
Derek pointed toward the living room. “Go bother your vampire and lemme alone.” he said, cutting me short.
"You didn't even let me speak." I whined.
Rahul suddenly looked interested. “Your vampire?”
I missed the way Derek froze immediately. Completely. Like a deer hearing a gunshot.
Oh.
Oh, this was fun.
I looked between them. Then smiled wider. I became fully invested in their drama —mind, body and soul. Before I could say anything I felt a hand settle on the back of my neck. Lucifiel. He'd apparently decided I had wandered too far. Without a word he guided me backward. Away from the kitchen. Away from the entertainment. Such a buzz kill.
“I wasn’t doing anything.”
“You were. That's why you're being all defensive.”
“I was trying to help.”
“You were causing problems, little chaos.”
“Those are different things.”
I've gotten used to the nickname. It kind of made me feel owned by him and I like the idea of being owned by Lucifiel. The thought of that alone was making my dick get interested but I pushed it away for now.
Luciefiel and I argued back and forth for a very long time.
Several hours later everyone settled into the living room. The atmosphere felt lighter than it had in weeks. No murders or kidnappers. Just us enjoying each other's company.
Derek occupied one end of the couch. Rahul sat at the other. Neither acknowledged the fact that they kept looking at each other. Which was becoming embarrassing for everyone involved. Including me. And I wasn’t even part of it.
At one point Derek stood. “So.”
Rahul looked up. “So?”
“I need help carrying something.”
Rahul blinked. “What?”
“Something heavy.”
“Where?”
“My room.”
The entire room went silent. Even Kael looked up from his phone.
Rahul frowned. “You have weights.”
“No.”
“Then what’s heavy?”
Derek opened his mouth. Nothing came out. The man had absolutely no plan beyond getting Rahul alone and Rahul was obviously enjoying teasing him.
Rahul eventually stood. “Fine.”
“Fine.”
They immediately left. The second the door closed behind them, Kael burst out laughing.
“That was painful to watch.”
“It really was.”
Lucifiel shook his head. “How are they this bad at it?”
Nobody had an answer. Because honestly? We didn’t know.
They were away for a long time.
Eventually the door opened again. Rahul returned first. His hair looked slightly messy and a few minutes later Derek followed. Trying very hard to look normal. Unfortunately he was smiling. Which immediately gave him away.
I sat up. “Oh my God.”
Derek pointed at me. “Shut up if you want to keep your voice.”
I looked at Rahul who smiled and looked away. That was all the confirmation I needed.
“No way.”
“Levi.”
I grinned. “Finally.”
Derek looked ready to throw something at my head. Worth it. Absolutely worth it.
The rest of the evening somehow became even more relaxed after that. For the first time in a long time, nobody seemed worried about the next disaster. We watched movies. Ordered food. Argued over terrible acting. Normal things. Things I’d never realized I missed. And Lucifiel was surprisingly invested in everything we did.
At some point I ended up curled against Lucifiel’s side. One minute I was sitting beside him and the next his arm was around my shoulders. Then somehow I was practically leaning against him. The man was a heat-seeking missile. A very possessive heat-seeking missile, for someone who is cold blooded
The movie ended. Then another started. I wasn’t paying attention anymore. Mostly because I was tired. The past week finally seemed to be catching up with me. I yawned.
Immediately Lucifiel looked down. “Tired?”
“No.”
Another yawn betrayed me. His eyebrow rose. I sighed. “A little.”
“A little.”
I ignored him.
Several minutes later I felt myself drifting. I didn't really sleep, it was like all the comfort I ever needed was right in his arms. The kind of comfort I hadn’t really experienced growing up. For a long time I simply sat there. Listening to everyone’s conversations. Listening to Derek and Rahul argue over something ridiculous, like teenagers.
Then a thought occurred to me. I tilted my head back. Lucifiel looked down. “What?”
“Nothing.”
He obviously didn't believe me but he acted like he did. His fingers brushed through my hair. Something he probably didn’t even think about. Yet it immediately made my chest feel warm.
“Thank you.”
The words slipped out quietly. His expression softened. “For what?”
I thought about it. I was greatful for practically everything, including him coming into my life.
“For everything, and coming to get me.”
The answer surprised him. I could tell. His hand moved to my cheek. Like he needed to make sure I was actually here.
“ there was never a possibility I wasn't going to come for you.”
The certainty in his voice made my heart swell with joy. There was no form of doubt in his tone, like the idea of not coming had never existed.
Lucifiel smiled slightly. “You should sleep.”
“I don’t want to.”
“You need sleep.”
“You’re very bossy.” I sighed dramatically. Then stood. Lucifiel immediately stood too.
"Why are you following me. I thought I was the one who needed sleep."
"Coincidence. We happen to be going the same way."
That was a fat lie.
I looked at everyone seated and they all looked like they were holding a laugh. I ignored them and turned towards the bedroom. Lucifiel’s hand found mine while we headed toward the bedroom, and I held onto him.
I don't have plans of ever letting go.
