Chapter 110 Chapter 110
"No."
"Look, you're my only shot right now. I've betrayed the team because of my foolish brother's persuasion."
Despite his words, I saw the sadness in his eyes. "So I can't use them to avenge my brother. But you- Kieran saved you. Don't you want to avenge his death?"
“I... I don't want anything to do with that man.” Just thinking about being involved with him sent shivers down my spine.
Klaus looked at me in disbelief. “So you'd just let my brother die without revenge?”
"I...I just want peace, Klaus."
"Hah." He passed a hand through his head. "Of course you do. But you're not ready to fight for it."
"No, I do. But Alpha Aiden..."
"Can be destroyed." His eyes were blazing with hatred, but it wasn't directed at me. "Come on, Daisy."
I stared at him. Then sighed. “Look, I–”
"Hey! You murderer!"

Nobody's P.O.V.
The woman walked into the VIP aspect of the bar, looking around cautiously to be sure that she wasn't being followed. Since she'd become Jamie's mistress, they'd been meeting in secret so his wife wouldn't flip. Today, he'd invited her to a swanky bar, but he'd been unable to drive her himself because his bitch Julia was feeling a bit possessive.
This side of the bar was empty save her and the bartender. She clenched her fists as she took a seat.
Stupid Julia. Who did she think she was? Just because she was rich and classy didn't mean that Jamie was going to be all for her. She was just-
The woman paused mid-thought, voices reaching her from across the room. There a handsome man towered over a petite lady. She admired the man, unashamedly ogling him, and secretly envied the woman he stood before, though the man didn't look too happy with the woman. Neither did the woman-
Hold on. She'd seen that face before.
"Hey, Mandi."
She looked up at the man who'd just called her name. His hair was still wet, and he looked like he'd rushed into his clothes.
But he was here.
Mandi smiled at him, thoughts of the familiar face momentarily forgotten. "Jamie.”
The man beamed and sat opposite her. "Babe. I'm sorry for coming here so late. Julia was suspicious, I...”
"It's okay," Mandi gritted out. "I understand."
Jamie looked relieved. "Thank you, babe. I knew you'd understand. Now...have you gotten yourself anything to drink?"
"No, actually. I arrived not quite long ago."
He nodded. “Well, I'd get something for us now. Hold on for a moment, love."
She smiled. "Thank you."
He winked at her as he walked away, and she followed that attractive butt of his as it moved. Oh, she couldn't wait to get her hands on it. That and the other parts of him Julia might have dared to touch...
Her eyes settled on the man and woman again, and narrowed on the female. She wasn't mistaken. Where had she seen that face before?
It was so terribly familiar...her eyes widened as recognition settled in.
"It's her!" she whispered.
"Who's that?" Jamie's voice said, causing her to almost jump in surprise. She hadn't noticed that he'd returned. He had a fearful expression as he turned back, his eyes darting around frantically. "Is it Julia? She's here?"
"No, it's not," Mandi said drily when she heard her lover's wife's name. "Look over there, Jamie. That lady.” He followed her eyes, and settled on the lady too. "Who's she?"
"She was there that night, Jamie! The night your old man went missing!"
He whirled around. "What?!"
"Yes!" Mandi's head bobbed up and down as she nodded. "I recall her face very clearly. It was while we were....err... fucking in your car."
Jamie's eyes were wide. "What? You swore your eyes were closed!"
"They were! I swear! But I opened them once and saw her crouching in front of your dad's shop!"
"Then you didn't actually cum?"
She blinked. "What?"
"If you'd said that your eyes were closed the whole time when they were not, then you could have faked your climax too." Jamie looked sad. "Look, Mandi, I know I've been a bit absent recently because of Julia, but really I-"
"That's not important right now, Jamie! Your dad came to help her that night!"
Jamie frowned. "So?"
“So?" Mandi was surprised at the question. “Your father spoke to that girl, Jamie! He even invited her into his store!"
"So...they were fucking too?"
Mandi blinked. When did the man she loved become so dumb?
“No,” she said, exasperated. “It means she might be related to your father's murder!”
For a moment she watched as Jamie's eyes stared at her in bewilderment while he processed the information, and then widened again in understanding.
"She- that fucker!"
The next minute he was off the couch and stomping towards the girl, who was still talking to the man.
"Hey! You murderer!"
Daisy looked up from her interaction with Klaus in confusion, and stepped back when she saw the man charging towards her.
"You- you fucking whore!"
"W-what?"
"Sir, I suggest you refrain from making a ruckus," Carl's voice said. "You're in an establishment-"
"Oh, but I have to, bro!" Jamie yelled. "Do you know what this lady did?! She killed a man, bro! She killed an old man!"
Daisy froze, the face of the old man Leon killed appearing in her mind. Now that she thought of it, the man before her looked like that man.
Oh, no.
Carl looked shocked for a moment, then regained his composure. "Don't be ridiculous, man. She's so clumsy with a wash rag, to handle a knife so she can kill a man would be hard work. Besides, how are you so sure she killed
him?"
Jamie was fuming, his ears red. "Ask her yourself! Ask her if she killed him!”
Carl pursed his lips before turning to Daisy, only to see she was as white as a sheet. "Daisy?"
“I-I...I..."
“You see?!" Jamie shrieked. “You see?! She's so fucking guilty, she can't deny it! She's a fucking murderer! And I'm pretty sure she fucked my dad before sending him to his grave. Probably rode his dick while stabbing his...
Mandi!"
Mandi, who tried to be exempted from the discussion, sighed when she heard her name. "Yes, Jamie?”
"Call 911, my love!" the man yelled, too deep in his feelings to see the look on his mistress' face. "There's a murderer here for the police to take care of!"
Daisy was still speechless, watching the man before her rant about the police. Then she turned to Carl, opening her mouth to explain, but nothing came out.
