Chapter 313: Don't Screw Things Up

"Alright." Vivian nodded. "If you need it next time, I'll accompany you to go shopping again."

"And me too!" Sheldon immediately raised his hand.

Vivian glanced at him. "It's none of your business, right?"

"I want to follow you. It's more fun to be with you. I never get a chance to spend money extravagantly like you did just now. Why didn't any shrews come looking for trouble with me?" Sheldon said.

Vivian rolled her eyes at Sheldon again. "You are crazy."

Sally frowned, "What are you guys talking about? Why don't I get it?"

"We just met an idiot earlier," Sheldon said. "Here's what happened..."

Meanwhile, inside the store, as soon as Vivian and the others left, Lindsay walked out of the fitting room.

By the time she came out, the dress she had thrown on the floor had already been picked up by the shop assistant.

With her consent, Lindsay's assistant immediately ran over to the shop assistant.

Carefully, she asked, "This item shouldn't have been bought by that miss just now, right? We'll buy it."

The shop assistant couldn't believe that Lindsay would be so shameless. Lindsay just cursed that this was a crappy store with crappy clothes, and now she was sending her assistant to buy it again!

If it wasn't for Lindsay wrinkling the dress, the shop assistant really wouldn't want to sell it to her.

"Well then," the shop assistant said, somewhat displeased. "Come with me to the front to swipe your card."

"Wait!" Lindsay raised her head arrogantly again. "No rush. Tell me first. Who exactly is that woman from just now?"

...

Before Owen's birthday party, Vivian went to the salon to get her hair done.

After Ethan left the Benton Group, he directly came here to pick her up.

Today, she chose a white strapless dress with a slight opening at the chest and a slit at the hem. It couldn't be considered revealing, but it perfectly showcased her long legs and great figure.

Vivian had tanned skin, from her ankles to her arms, and up to her neck. Every exposed area of her skin is like chocolate. Against the contrast of her white dress, she instantly caught everyone's attention.

Upon seeing her, Ethan immediately frowned.

Vivian felt that his expression was off and waved at him.

Ethan quickly walked over. "Are you trying to overshadow everyone else in beauty? Why don't I see you dressed like this in front of me usually?"

Vivian raised an eyebrow. "I thought my outfit was a disaster when I saw your expression earlier. So, you also think it looks good."

"Don't talk nonsense!" Ethan picked up a blanket from the nearby sofa and covered Vivian with it. "Why did you choose this? It's too revealing."

Vivian was speechless. "Were you born two centuries ago? This isn't even considered revealing."

With that, she swiftly threw off the blanket and said, "Let's go. It's time to leave. Tonight, I want to attract everyone's attention. Don't screw things up. Just be a good tool."

Ethan furrowed his brows and stubbornly pulled up Vivian's strapless dress a bit.

Vivian pointed at him. "If you pull it up one millimeter, I'll pull it down two millimeters. Do you believe me?"

Ethan gave up instantly.

He was displeased after they left the salon because no matter where they went, people kept staring at his wife.

However, when they entered the venue of Owen's birthday party, there were even more people staring at Vivian. Not only that, but there were also many media photographers.

Those who knew Owen also knew Ethan, and most of those who knew Ethan were aware of his wife, Vivian.

Especially since Ethan originally had no intention of attending Owen's birthday party, but now he came with Vivian. Owen immediately put aside all his engagements to come out and greet them.

Owen's gesture immediately attracted the attention of many media outlets.

Because it is well known that Owen and his cousin Ethan had a falling out several years ago over a woman.

But now it seemed that they got along well with each other, and the reporters instantly surrounded them, ignoring even the newly arrived celebrities from showbiz.

Some reporters who were sensitive to news also remembered that not long ago, there were rumors online about Ethan and Vivian's marriage troubles, so they took the opportunity to seek confirmation from them.

Ethan was very dissatisfied with the reporters and photographers who were hounding them, especially those who were focused on Vivian.

So he simply grabbed a bunch of microphones and blocked them in front of Vivian's chest.

Vivian felt that he was considerate and a bit funny, and she answered the reporters' questions with a smile on her face.

"The online rumors of our divorce were false. They were baseless claims. You don't need to take them seriously. In fact, we are still deep in love with each other."

Immediately, a reporter asked, "But your elder brother, William Astor, denied your marriage previously. What's the truth behind this? Is it also just a rumor?"

Vivian effortlessly deflected the question. "It was just a misunderstanding, and the misunderstanding has been cleared now."

"When are you going to have the wedding then? Since both families have already admitted it, why haven't you had the wedding yet? Do you think your identities and backgrounds are not compatible?"

"We are already preparing." Ethan stared sharply at the reporter. "We will have two weddings, one in Valarna and one in Yondora. Please don't make baseless speculations. That's all for now. We need to go inside."

With that, he stuffed all the microphones in his hands to Owen beside him, then took Vivian inside the venue.

Most of the people inside the venue were quieter than the reporters. Although some wanted to approach Ethan, they all avoided him due to his aloof aura.

Ethan found a corner for himself and Vivian to sit down and express his dissatisfaction.

"These entertainment reporters are as annoying as flies. I don't know how they will write about us next, but once the news is out, we can spend a little money to manipulate it, and the promotion will definitely be maximized."

Vivian glanced at Ethan, looking somewhat dissatisfied. "Do you think this is enough? Is it attractive enough?"

"Do you think it's not enough?" Ethan and Vivian were clearly not talking about the same thing. He glanced at Vivian's dress and said, "I've had enough. Can we leave now?"

"So soon? You haven't even been sitting for a minute." Vivian, annoyed, grabbed Ethan's tie and threatened him. "Don't screw things up, or I'll beat you up."

Ethan leaned his face closer.

"What are you doing?" Vivian leaned back. "Do you want me to beat you up?"
