Chapter 314: Envy

"Yes." Ethan stared at her intently and said, "First, I'll let you slap my left cheek. If you still feel unsatisfied, I'll let you slap my right cheek. Then, we'll go home."

"Is that so?" Vivian raised her hand and pinched Ethan's face. "After thinking about it carefully, I think it's possible. I can publicly slap you, then leave with style. That would be a much higher profile than when they asked us about our wedding. Are you ready?"

"You could just go ahead and do it." Ethan stared at Vivian, his gaze unwavering. "Do you really need to ask for my opinion?"

Vivian narrowed her eyes and said, "But I always feel like you don't really want me to slap you with the way you look at me."

"That's right." Ethan slowly approached Vivian and said in a deep voice, "Right now, I only want to devour you."

"Just you?" Vivian smiled and reached her hand into his suit jacket, claiming the high ground in an instant.

However, the two of them had their boundaries and did not display overly intimate actions in public.

But every intimate moment and playful exchange for dominance would bring them closer together.

In the end, this time's struggle for dominance ended with Vivian taking the lead and biting Ethan's chin.

And at this moment, Ethan would forget why he was angry or dissatisfied in the first place.

He felt annoyed by this and said, "Vivian, you are truly my nemesis."

"What's wrong? Are you unhappy?"

"How could I be? I'm too happy for words."

"Haha," Vivian laughed. "Then let your nemesis feed you some fruit."

As she said that, she picked up a plate of fruits from the table and fed Ethan a piece of watermelon with a fork.

Ethan didn't want her to dirty her hands, so he took the plate and fork from her hands himself...

Meanwhile, not far away, Owen stood motionless, watching this scene.

He watched as the two people who were usually cold and heartless towards others sat together, talking and laughing, and even feeding each other.

Owen suddenly felt envious.

He envied that Ethan had seen through Sophia's hypocrisy and malice early on. He envied that after leaving Sophia, Ethan had actually met such a good woman like Vivian.

Clearly, he and Ethan had similar tastes and aesthetics, even similar family backgrounds. Why couldn't he find a love of his own?

Owen also wanted to taste the sweetness of love.

At that moment, besides Owen, there was another person staring at Vivian and Ethan with jealous eyes.

That person was Lindsay.

Lindsay and Owen were from the same entertainment company. She actually came here today not at Owen's invitation, but was brought by someone from Owen's company.

The main purpose was to let Lindsay appear more in front of the media, and also to hype up her relationship with Owen as peers in the same company, to increase her fame.

She just didn't expect to run into Vivian here.

At that time, Lindsay asked about Vivian's identity in the store, but the store manager refused to disclose customer privacy.

Later, Lindsay searched online but didn't find any useful information.

But she never expected that Vivian would turn out to be the wife of Ethan, Owen's cousin.

Lindsay thought, "This woman already had Ethan, but earlier in the store, she was flirting with another young man."

"How will her husband, Ethan, feel if he finds out? No man wants to be cuckolded. Yet, I don't mind introducing her boyfriend to her husband."

"How dare this woman humiliate me in the store? This is the consequence of offending me."

...

Lindsay patiently waited and finally, after half an hour, got an opportunity.

Because at this time, the main character of tonight, Owen, was about to go on stage to give a speech, and all the media had already entered.

In order to make way for Owen, the crowd had already separated to form a path.

Lindsay took the chance while Owen hadn't stepped on stage and directly walked on the small path originally cleared for Owen.

Then, she stopped directly in front of Ethan and Vivian.

Vivian was surprised for half a second when she saw Lindsay.

But she quickly caught on and deduced that Lindsay must be someone from showbiz, perhaps even acquainted with Owen. Or, she could be a female companion brought by one of Owen's friends, which would explain her presence here.

If Lindsay hadn't proactively come to find her, Vivian wouldn't even bother provoking Lindsay. Yet, seeing her arrogant attitude, Vivian felt that Lindsay needed to be taught a lesson.

"What brings you here?" Vivian got straight to the point.

Lindsay glanced at Vivian smugly. "Don't flatter yourself. I didn't come to see you."

"Oh?" Vivian glanced at her, noticing her constant gaze towards Ethan. She couldn't help but curl her lips coldly and say, "So, are you here to see my husband?"

"That's right. You guessed it!" Lindsay said, then turned her head to look at the people around them, seemingly inviting them to witness what was about to happen.

She looked at Ethan with an evil smile. "Mr. Benton, do you know that your wife is spending your money to go shopping with her lover? Do you really want a woman like her? Any other socialite would be better than her. Do you know that she flirts with another man and buys things for him?"

Everyone was stunned. What the hell? Weren't this couple just talking about their good relationship and preparing for their wedding? Why did Lindsay suddenly appear and cause this commotion?

Reporters and photographers also crowded in front, holding their equipment.

And Ethan was surprised. He frowned and looked at Vivian. "Who is she?"

Vivian shrugged. "I don't know, but the effect is remarkable. The reporters should be very interested."

Was that all? Lindsay thought Ethan's reaction was strange. Shouldn't he be angry? Why did he seem unaffected?

She was angry and called her assistant over, then snatched the phone from her assistant's hand.

"I have evidence. My assistant has captured this scene!" Lindsay immediately found a photo of Sheldon's arm around Vivian's shoulder and showed it to Ethan.

This made Ethan a little unhappy because the photo looked genuine.

Vivian didn't expect that the seemingly weak assistant would record a video.

This photo was clearly taken from the video. The reason Lindsay showed Ethan the photo instead of the video was because, in the next second, Vivian pushed Sheldon's hand away.

She glanced at Ethan and said, "Why don't you let me explain?"

Before Ethan could respond, Owen walked over with large strides towards them...
