Chapter 163
head of Elites
Alex’s POV
The moment I stepped out of class, it was light the world had tilted to one side. I could feel it, the way the air had changed. It was all too obvious, and it felt thrilling. In a good way.Everybody scampered not to be on my way. As i walked down the hallway, i heard the whispers among them.News of my encounter with Mr. Graham. I was not surprised that it had spread like wildfire. And everybody, if not the whole school, would have heard about it now.But who cares. The man had thought he could embarrass me in front of the class, that he could still treat me like the boy I used to be. But he quickly learned otherwise, the hard way about messing with the Davidson heir.It was a good thing that the news had spread. At least it saved me the stress of meanderig throught sweaty bodies to go for lunch. No one could challenge me now. Not teachers, not students, no one.I continued to nod throughout my walk. I was amazed at the level of respect and reverence that was being shown to me by the studentAs I walked through the halls toward the cafeteria, students instinctively moved aside, giving me space. Not a single one dared to cross my path.Except for one.I didn’t see him coming, too caught up in my own thoughts, and used to people stepping away. I had expected the fool to act like his fellow fools, who was scampering to make way for me. but he chose at that moment to stand in my way.suddenly, we collided.I collided with he hard back of the stranger. My body lurched forward, and for a split horrifying second, I thought I was going to hit the ground face flat. But a hand shot out, gripping my arm tightly, stopping me just in time.Immedailtly a sharp feeling of tingling and a spark ,like an electric dpark ran through my hand. The touch was firm. Warm. Familiar.I looked up, and my breath hitched.Andrian.His green eyes held me captive, piercing through me as if he were searching for something he had lost. He hadn’t moved an inch from the impact, but I had. I had stumbled on him, his hard body wedging me from the most embarrassing moment of my life. and it infuriated me.I couldn’t look away. For a brief moment, it felt like time slowed, the hallway, the buzzing of the student, and even the flies flying at the moment. like the world around us blurred. And then reality came crashing back.I tore my arm from his grasp, shoving him back, harder than I intended. "What the hell is wrong with you? Can’t you see the damn road?"The sharpness of my own voice surprised me, but I didn’t stop. I couldn’t stop. I was beyond rage. Andrian of all people had been the fool in my way. And what's painting me the most is that he has been my savior.“Are you dumb? Can't you see the road” I asked again,He parted his lips as if he wanted to say something, but no words came out. His expression wavered, shifting from shock to something unreadable. His eyes wandered around me, with an empty look. Was he checking me out?.Then, to my utter disbelief, he mumbled something that sounded like an apology and quickly stepped away.He didn’t fight back. Didn’t mock me. Didn’t smirk like he usually would. He just… left.I watched as he disappeared down the hall, my chest tightening in confusion.Andrian never backed down from me. Never. Especially not now that I was vying for his position. So why did he now?I clenched my jaw, shaking my head. It doesn’t matter. My stomach grumbled in anger.I had bigger things to focus onLike finding what to eat,Whatever just happened… it meant nothing. At least, that’s what I told myself as I walked toward the cafeteria, ignoring the way my pulse refused to settle. My stomach grumbling angrily follwoed me to the cafeteria. Becoming even worse at the smell of freshly cooked food. The moment I stepped into the cafeteria, the air shifted. It felt like an angel had arrived. All movement stilled. Conversations died. Laughter faded.Silence.I didn’t need to command it; it just happened. But like always, I didn't care.I swaggered straight to the line like I owned the place, well, in the real sense, I am. ignoring the people already there, I went straight to the front line. The boy whose turn it was stiffened, his lips parting like he wanted to say something. But one look from me was all it took.He swallowed thickly, lowering his gaze and stepping aside.I picked up my tray, filled with food much larger than the others. The woman in charge had known better than to do otherwise. The perks of being a Davidson, I always got the best. And now, no one dared to question it.As I turned, I scanned the table, searching for the perfect spot. No one daed to meet me straight in the eyes. Then I saw it.The Elites' table.A place reserved only for the most powerful, the most influential, the children of the wealthiest families in the country. They were gatgered there, in their usual table, gisting and laughing in liud voices, without any care in the damned world.I smirked. They had no idea what was coming.I strode over, my presence alone demanding attention. Then, BANG.I dropped my plate onto the table with a loud thud, sending a ripple of tension through the group, as all conversations stopped. All eyes turned to me.For a moment, no one spoke. No one even breathed. Then, I shifted my gaze to one of the boys seated near the biggest chair at the table. The one that belonged to the leader, the head.I didn’t have to say a word. The boy instantly scrambled for an excuse, stuttering about needing to make a phone call before quickly vacating the seat.Pathetic.Just as I was about to sit, a voice interrupted.“That’s… Andrian’s seat.”I turned my head, my gaze locking onto a girl, one of the Elite daughters. I recognized her immediately. I even knew her name. But that didn’t matter. She had pimples scattered across her face, small imperfections on someone who thought she was perfect.I tilted my head, pretending to examine her. “And yet, with all that wealth, you still haven’t found a solution for those scattered molds on your face?.”Her cheeks burned red as she shrank in her seat. Not another word left her mouth.I looked around the quiet table. I was waiting for anyone to speak up, but no one said a word.Satisfied, I lowered myself into the seat, stretching out like I belonged there. Because I did.The Elites, wealthy and pompous as they were, had nothing to say. They kept on staring as if waiting for some kind of explanation.Fine. I’d give them one.I raised my hands up,The murmuring immediately ceased.I leaned forward, my voice cold and final.“From today, I, Alexander Davidson, have taken my position as the head of the Elites.”
