"This place is huge, there's lots to do but its not on the cheap side."Aisha said as we walked past the entrance.

"As long as we have fun."I grinned looking around me.

"That's the spirit I like, so let's just walk around and find something to do. We do have all day right?"Aisha asked me.

"Yes definitely." I grinned following her.

The village market was basically a huge mall with lots of different stores, entertainment and fun center facilities and of course different food courts.

"Have you ever been bowling?"Aisha asked as we walked past the Village Bowl.

"No."I replied with a shrug.

"Then we must try it, it's only two hundred and fifty shillings since we're here early. One of the cheapest activities here actually."Aisha enticed.

I had some cash to spare so I didn't mind spoiling myself by doing something fun.

"Let's do it."I declared.

Aisha smiled as we into the bowling arena. It was quiet without that many people in it so I was guaranteed some peace of mind. Aisha and I paid and got our bowling shoes.

"Want to get something to eat now or later?"Aisha asked me as we put on our shoes.

"Later, I'm okay for now."I replied.

"Great, let's get bowling."Aisha declared getting up and walking towards our designated lane.

The bowling balls were heavy and I had no idea what I was doing but after some guidance from Aisha who was apparently a pro I got the hang of it. I sent Hunter some photos of me bowling so he didn't go crazy and send the whole police force after me.

"Why does this taste like melted ice cream?"I cringed pushing the colorful too sweet drink away.

"Because it basically is. How can you be twenty two years old and you've never had milkshake?"Aisha asked me.

"Well I grew up in ushago where such things are non existent and when I joined campus I didn't have money to throw away on such luxuries."I replied with a shrug.

"Makes sense, there's stuff I've never had too like sushi which I probably never will because the idea of raw fish doesn't sound appealing to me."Aisha commented.

"I don't think I'd like it either. Let me give this one more try."I said pulling the drink back to me.

I took another sip and cringed, it was too cold and too sweet.

"Nope, definitely not."I commented done with it.

"Okay fine, I'll swap with you but only because I talked you into trying it."Aisha suggested giving me her mango juice instead and taking my milkshake.

"Thank you."I smiled appreciatively.

We were done bowling and after visiting the Under the Sea theme park we settled down to for something to eat.

"Thanks."I mumbled to the waiter as he dropped off my burger and fries.

"Don't tell me you've never had one too."Aisha teased when she saw me looking at my burger skeptically.

"No I have once but it wasn't any good. I don't want to be disappointed again."I replied.

"I promise you these are good, try."She enticed.

I decided to take her word for it so I reached for it and took a big bite. It was actually delicious and I found myself taking another bite.

"Good?"Aisha asked me and I nodded.

Aisha was having the same thing but decided on onion rings instead of fries. We ended up swapping halfway through when she had more interest in my fries than her food.

After lunch we explored some more and did lots of window shopping.

"Our last stop has to be the trampoline park."Aisha declared hoping from foot to foot excitedly.

"You're too happy for me to say no."I said letting her drag me away towards where the trampoline park was.

Fifteen thousand square feet of fun and more fun. The park had various sections like an in-house DJs, a private party area, a snack bar, an open course, a professional climbing wall, a Dodgeball court, a Ninja Course, Slam Dunk, a Parkour wall, a small climbing wall, Baby Trampoline, Olympic Trampoline and the Foam Pit.

"Look they are about to end that session, let's go pay."Aisha declared.

It was seven hundred shillings for one hour which I felt like it was a steal but I had already agreed and Aisha was too excited.

After paying and getting our safety grip socks we had to get in line as we waited for the other group to finish. Finally it was out turn and Aisha couldn't get on the trampolines fast enough. It was fun and we tried to squeeze in as many activities as possible in our allocated time.

"That was so much fun."I declared as Aisha and I put our shoes back on.

"Yeah it was, definitely must come back."Aisha agreed.

"So what do we do next? I have like one more hour."I replied noticing how fast time had flown by.

"I saw a clothing store that is closing up so they are having a sale. Maybe we can check it out as we leave."Aisha suggested.

"I like that."I agreed letting her lead the way like she had been all day.

The store was cute and actually had some nice clothes. Everything was fifty percent off so I didn't feel too guilty spending my savings on a couple of new outfits .

"I think this, it will look cute on you."Aisha suggested holding up an outfit consisting of a short sleeved denim jacket and a pair of ripped jeans.

The design made them look as if they had bleach stains but in a stylish way.

"I don't know.."I mumbled.

They were cute but not really my style.

"Just try them on, you'll never know."Aisha insisted.

I checked the price and realized that I could actually afford it so I decided there was no harm in trying it on. I took the clothes and entered the changing rooms. They actually fit quite well and I liked the way the jeans hugged my ass and thighs.

"I like them."I yelled at Aisha looking at my reflection on the mirror.

"Let me see."She requested.

I walked out of the changing rooms to show it off.

"You look great, you have to buy the outfit."Aisha declared admiring me.

"I agree."I smiled walking back in to change back into my clothes.

Aisha and I chose a couple of more items before walking up to the counter to check out.

Aisha's phone rang just as we were about to get served so she ignored it. It kept ringing even as we got served having our items bagged separately.

"Who are you ignoring?"I asked her as I paid.

"I don't know, it's a new number."Aisha replied just as her phone started ringing again.

"Pick it up, might be important."I insisted.

Aisha considered letting it ring but it was the third time the person was calling so she picked up.

"Hello."

............

"Yes this is she."

.................

"Yes she's here. Who's asking?"Aisha asked turning to look at me.

..............

Oh. Yes sir.

Aisha held out the phone for me looking a little bit scared.

"It's for you."She said handing me the phone.

I took it from her surprised who would be calling me through her until I realized that both Hunter and Brian had her number.

"Hello."I mumbled.

"Baby girl? Where are you and why is you phone off?"Hunter's commanding voice boomed from the other end.

"Hi bear, my phone died and I'm still at the mall with Aisha. We were just heading out."I replied.

"Okay, I'm at the parking lot out front."Hunter said shocking me.

"What are you doing here?"I asked him.

"Looking for my girlfriend because her phone has been off for the past two hours."Hunter gritted out.

He was pissed.

"In my defense, I did tell you that my phone was shutting down."I reminded him.

I'd texted him as soon as we were done with lunch to tell him that my phone was dying and that I would see him at home.

"I'm waiting outside."He insisted and hang up.

"Your boyfriend is scary."Aisha commented when I handed her back my phone.

"Only sometimes when he's scared. He's waiting outside, let's go."I said making sure I had everything with me.

Sure enough Hunter was waiting at the parking lot leaning against his car. Our eyes met and the hard gaze he had on didn't drop. He was mad at me but I could fix that with a long hug and a kiss.

"That's your boyfriend?"Aisha asked me sounding shocked.

"Yeah why?"I replied.

"You do know that's Hunter Makau right, he's the vice presidents first born son?"Aisha grilled as if I didn't already know all that and have major insecurities about it.

"Yes I know that, come say hi."I said taking her hand when she looked ready to run.

"Hi bear."I greeted with a meek wave when we finally got to Hunter.

"Baby girl."He growled getting off the car and taking one step closer to me.

I was forced to let go of Aisha's hand as I hugged Hunter wrapping my hands around his waist. He hugged me back and kissed my forehead.

"Baby, this is my friend Aisha. Aisha this is my boyfriend Hunter."I said introducing the two.

"Nice to meet you Aisha."Hunter said shaking her hand.

"Pleasure is all mine."She replied looking a little shy.

Hunter could be intimidating so I totally understood her.

"So you decided to steal my girl for the day?"Hunter teased her using his joking tone.

"I kind of had to, she's awesome. We had fun together."Aisha replied smiling at me.

"She definitely is, I'm glad you two had a great time but next time make sure she keeps contact with me, I worry about her."Hunter requested her.

So there would be a next time? Nice.

"I will definitely do that."Aisha assured him.

I didn't like that they were talking about me as if I wasn't there but it was necessary to put Hunter's mind at ease.

"Ready to go babe?"Hunter asked finally addressing me.

"Yes please. Aisha where are you going? Maybe we can drop you off."I offered.

"Thanks but I'm okay. My brother will be picking me up in a few minutes. I already texted him."She assured me.

I didn't know if she was being honest or lying to avoid being in Hunter's intimidating presence but I chose to believe her.

"Okay, thank you for today I had fun."I said hugging her.

"Me too, we should definitely do it again soon."She replied.

"Im free all week."I smiled at her.

"Perfect, we'll make plans tomorrow after class."She concurred.

"Nice to meet you Hunter. Bye."She said waving at us as she stepped back.

"Likewise."Hunter replied with a polite bow.

Aisha turned around and excited the malls compound disappearing into the crowd.

Hunter put all my bags in the back seat before getting the door for me.

"Are you mad at me?"I asked as soon as he settled next to me.

"No I was just worried. You're right you did tell me your phone was going off but it didn't make me worry any less thus why I'm giving you a task."He explained.

"What task?"

"You're going to memorize my number so that anytime you're in a situation like today you can communicate to me."Hunter replied.

"I can do that."I said smiling at him.

"Good, then my heart is at ease. I am glad to see that you made a new friend and that you had fun today."Hunter said.

"Me too."I grinned.

"Okay then let's go home."Hunter declared starting the car and driving out of the parking lot.

As Hunter drove us home, I told him all about my day and how my first class had gone. He listened attentively letting me rant out excitedly.

My highlight of the day was making a new friend and getting to explore the city. I hoped that I would get more days like those because as much as I enjoyed staying indoors, I realized there was a lot that Nairobi had to offer and I couldn't wait to experience it all.
