CHAPTER 49: His real Agenda

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" nanggagalaiting tanong ko kay Haize matapos mapanood ang video na ipinakita niya sa akin.

"What?" pabale-walang patanong na sagot niya sa akin.

"What what? Bakit mo ginawa iyon kay Avery? Anak ng-" galit na galit kong sabi at akma ko siyang susuntukin.

This f*cking idiot! I want to kill him so f*cking bad! How dare he!

Napigilan ako agad ng dalawa niyang tauhan. Dalawang linggo lang ako nawala and he decided to do that while I'm gone?

"I only did that to provoke Marius," sagot niya sa akin as if wala man lang itong remorse sa ginawa.

"Kapapanganak lamang ni Avery for f*uck sake! Where is your conscience?" galit na galit kong tanong sa kanya.

Napatingin ito sa akin at sumeryoso.

"Listen here, Sebastian," seryoso niyang sabi. "I helped you to get even with Marius. I helped you get Avery back to see how will Marius react pero parang wala naman siyang ginagawa. So I sent their little headquarters the video of Avery being violated by my men and I'm sure that made his move. I hate it when I don't get what I want. And also you," sabi pa niya. "You will need to do what I want you to do. If you refuse again or I'll see any hesitation in your eyes, I swear I'll let you watch Avery being violated by my men again," sabi niya bago nito bago kaswal na uminom ng kape sa kanyang tasa habang naka de kwatro pa sa aking harapan habang hawak ako ng kanyang mga tauhan.

"Don't you ever believe in mates?" galit pa ring tanong ko sa kanya.

"Do you?" balik niyang tanong sa akin habang tumatawa. "Of course I do. The difference is that I can't no longer be with my fated mate because he is dead," sagot niya sa akin.

Napatingin ako sa kanya. Sinusuri kung nagsisinungaling ba ito o hindi. This guy had a mate? Parang hindi kapani-paniwala.

"The fate must be mistaken if he gave you one," galit ko pa ring sabi.

Ngumiti siya sa akin.

"Ah of course you're gonna say that," sabi niya. "I wasn't like this before, you know that," sabi pa niya. "How would you feel if you found your fated mate one day but then died also on that same day with you being hated when you didn't do anything?" sabi pa niya.

"That's nothing to do with Avery! I don't care if your mate is dead or whatever, just leave him alone!"

Pagak itong tumawa.

"You haven't heard the whole story yet," sabi niya. "Then you judge me like that?" nakakalokong sabi niya. "Marius killed my mate on the same day I met him. So, sa tingin mo ay labas ba si Avery?" tanong niya sa akin bago ngumisi ng nakakaloko sa akin.

Nanlaki ang aking mga mata sa narinig at nabigla.

This explains everything.

"Now you get it?" tanong niya sa akin bago ngumisi ng ng nakakaloko. "I'm using you and Avery to get to Marius. And you so f*ucking stupid is perfect for the plan that I planned many years ago," sabi pa niya. "And you, I didn't know you were so desperate to have your hands to this little omega who isn't even yours," sabi pa niya. "It's pathetic that you want someone who could never be yours. So," sabi niya bago tumayo at saka lumapit sa akin. "You will do what I want if you want your son and Avery alive. I'll be taking them until you finish your task.," sabi pa niya sa akin.

"F*ck you!" bulong ko.

"What did you say?" tanong niya.

"I said I'm in basta huwag mo lang sasaktan ang mag-ina ko!" sagot ko sa kanya.

Ngumisi siya.

"Good. Now go and talk to your Avery. Tell him whatever you want to say. I'll give you thirty minutes to be with him and your son. If he still wants to talk to you," natatawang sabi nito.

Binitawan ako ng mga tauhan ni Haize at saka ako nagmamadaling tumungo sa silid ni Avery.

"Avery! Open the door!" nagmamadaling tawag ko sa kanya habang pinapaikot-ikot ang doorknob ng pintuan ng silid niya.

"Go away you monster!" sigaw niya mula sa kabilang banda ng pintuan.

"It wasn't me! I swear! I will never let anyone touch you! It was Haize's plan," sagot ko sa kanya. "Please listen to me. Open the door so we can talk," nagsusumamo kong sabi sa kanya.

"Liar! Go away! I don't want to see you! You're a horrible person! It was a mistake that once I have loved you!" sabi pa niya na gumagaralgal ang boses halatang umiiyak.

"It wasn't me, Avery. I will never gonna do that to you. It was all Haize's mistake. He recorded the video and sent it straight to Marius. He did that to provoke him. He wanted him to come straight here and kill Marius," sabii ko sa kanya.

Pagkasabi ko noon ay biglang bumukas ang pintuan.

"C-come in," sabi ni Avery habang nakatalikod sa akin.

There's blood all over his clothes and he looked so weak. His long hair was disheveled. There are scratches on his face and fresh wounds on his arms. Obviously, he was forced to mate those damn men.

"Oh my Jesus Avery! What did they do to you?" halos mabiyak ang puso ko noong nakita kong may umaagos pa sa pagitan ng mga hita niya.

"If I won't go with them, they will kill my son," sagot niya sabay iyak. "I couldn't do anything. A guy grabbed my son on the neck and he was about to wring my son's neck. So I had to go," sabi pa niya. "You took me away from Marius only to be tortured here," sabi pa niya habang umiiyak.

Christ. I wanted to hug him. And tell him that it will be alright.

"I'm sorry Avery. But I couldn't let you go. I also want you and I love you with all my heart and we have a son. Both of you are my treasure," sagot ko sa kanya.

Hindi umimik si Avery. He was just staring at me trying to process the words that came from my mouth.

"Why do you have to ask Haize for help? If you just let me go with my fated mate. I wouldn't end up like this and also why would Haize want to kill Marius? He didn't do anything," sabi pa niya.

Bumuntong-hininga ako.

I will tell everything to Avery but not the part that Haize told me to kill Marius. I don't like him to hate me anymore. I'm tired. I've been chasing him for so long and all I want is to be together with our son.

"Marius killed Haize's fated mate that's why he wanted him to die," sagot ko sa kanya.

Napatingin si Avery sa akin.

"He planned all this to get to you and me. He used you to hurt Marius and then if he killed him, you would end up suffering like Haize did," sabi ko pa sa kanya.

"No! Marius didn't kill anyone! That Haize is lying to you," hindi naniniwalang sagot ni Avery.

"I don't know if he's lying or not but I need to protect you now that Marius probably saw that video," sabi ko sa kanya.

Bigla na lamang napaiyak ng malakas si Avery.

"I will Haize myself!" galit na galit nitong sabi sa akin. "I hate him! I hate him to death!"

"Please Avery calm down," pakiusap ko sa kanya. "Listen to me," sabi ko pa. "I will let get out you here. You and our son. That's a promise," sabi ko pa sa kanya.

"No! I want to be with Marius," sahot niya sa akin.

Nilapitan ko si Avery at hinawakan sa magkabilang balikat.

"Listen to me, Avery. Haize will kill Marius the moment he steps his foot on this Island. I don't know when it will be but I have to get you out here. Haize is a dangerous guy and he is also affiliated with the mafia. He kills who will step in or out here. So be good and listen to me. Do not provoke him. I will leave in a few minutes so until I'm back, don't provoke him, please. For you and our son's sake," sabi ko sa kanya.

I'm not sure if Avery is convinced to get the hell out of here with me. Hindi siya umiimik. He just stared at me.

"Time's up Saavedra," sabi ng isa sa mga tauhan ni Haize.

"Listen to me, Avery don't do anything against them," sabi ko pa sa kanya bagonsiya hinalikan sa kanyang ulo at saka lumapit sa aming anak at hinalikan sa noo bago ako lumabas at isinarado ang pintuan.

"Have you finally convinced him to go with you?" tanong ni Haize sa akin na nakaupo lang sa sala.

"Why do you want to know?" inis na tanong ko sa kanya.

"Why not? If I was him, I'd hate you," sagot niya.

"Well, he's not you so he will not hate me," sabi ko sa kanya habang sinusuot ko ang aking jacket.

"Are you sure he won't hate you especially if he'll learn that you will be the one who will kill his alpha? I don't think so. He might curse you or kill you himself," he said, mocking me.

Napahinto ako sa ginagawa.

"Don't you dare to tell him," sabi ko giving him a warning look.

"Really?" natatawang sabi niya.

Hindi ko ma siya sinagot at akmang aalis na.

"Marius and he's team will be here in two days. I hope you already have a plan. Shoot Marius or I'll shoot your dear Avery and your son. Choose wisely," sabi niya. "And also, do not forget the gun I gave you. Used that to end his life," sabi pa niya.

"Curse you Haize. You are freaking evil," sagot ko sa kanya bago lumabas ng tuluyan sa bahay na iyon.

I regretted everything when I accepted his help. If only I knew he had other motives, hindi na sana ako pumayag pa. Maaari pa sanang ma-solve ang lahat without him being involved.

Biglang tumunog ang aking smartphone. Agad ko itong sinagot noong makasakay na ako ng jet paalis ng lugar na iyon.

"Where the hell are you Sebastian?! Come home instantly. You made a very very big mistake, son," galit na galit na sabi ni Papa.

Napalunok ako. Do they know all about this?
