Fifty-Eight
She pushed him back with gentleness, making him comfortable on the pillows by the bedpost, as she flung her leg over his body and sat astride on him. Henry didn’t let go of her eyes the entire time. They were as black as coal, his beautiful honeyed color irises nowhere to be found. Positioning right above him, Melina ground herself on his erection, extracting an anguished grunt from him. She glanced at him, his right shoulder and chest half patched with his arm stuck in the bandages. He’d try to move it here and then, forgetting for a moment, they cut short his movements.
She bent down on him, her nipples brushing on his chest, making his body go up in flames. Everything on him demanded he bury himself in the heaven of Melina’s body and forget his life was a funking mess, but her beauty and her boldness enthralled him, and he wanted to release the control in her hands. But one last step he had to cross before giving himself into her care. He needed to get rid of that piece of scrap in the way of their bodies.
He skimmed his hand with tenderness from the small of her waist to the curve of her hips, trapping the band of her lacy panties between his fingers while she came down on his mouth, the tip of her pink tongue, tracing the seam of his lips, coaxing him to open up for her. The stung of a soft nip on his bottom lip traveled through his body, arousing him more, and he lost all connection with reality when Melina took his mouth in a slow but ardent kiss. His grip on her panties tightened, and he ripped them off her body.
“Henry!” She gasped in surprise, her lips curving in a naughty smile.
“Stop teasing, Kitty Kat. You’re killing me here.” The words left his mouth in ragged pants.
“Are you ready for the ride of your life?” Melina whispered in his ear, her warm breath bathing his neck, his grunts reverberating through her body, flooding between her thighs with warmth. She reached for his nightstand, grabbed a foil packet, and pulled the condom out, rolling down on him. In the room’s silence, the only music was their hearts beating in unison. Fixing her eyes on his, love shone in them for her and a savage need only she could sate.
Henry was about to die in ecstasy when Melina sank herself in him inch by inch. His head tilted back into the pillows and his eyes rolled in the back of his skull, as his hand flung from her waist to the sheets on the mattress, grabbing the fabric until his knuckles were white. His heartbeat sped more than a racing car, and when he was fully sheathed inside her, she put both her hands on the sides of his head, leaning her palms on the pillows and moved her bottom, pulling up and sinking back on him.
Melina didn’t let go of his eyes for a second as she wanted to see his soul. She was gorgeous. Flushed skin, parted luscious lips, and those chocolaty so bright staring at him, as orange blossoms spread everywhere, hugging him in a warm embrace. If he didn’t go insane with desire for her, she’d drive him to the brink of insanity. He wanted her to move, to grab her hips and set a faster pace, but he was short of a hand, and she was teasing him, having fun seeing him squirm beneath her as she moved up and down on him with sure and deep leisure movements.
Rocking her hips, he groaned, and an avalanche of flames took over her flesh. Making her move faster. Henry circled one of her breasts, cupping and teasing it while his mouth sucked and nipped the other, making Melina lose her rhythm for a few moments, enjoying the scorching sensations he was delivering to her already sensitive body. Her emotions were in full bloom and she never dwelled on how intense her feelings were towards Henry, but seeing him so out of his skin, so lost in her body, sent the fire within her up a few more notches, and Melina picked up the pace chasing their release.
A big hand was back on her hips, gripping at her sleek skin as Henry couldn’t hold himself anymore, thrusting upwards in tandem with the movements of her hips. Fire built in her core, blood raced in her veins, her thoughts scattered and the only one crowding her mind, heart and soul was Henry. Her troublemaker, her protector, her bad boy. He filled every nook and crannies of her body, imprinting himself within her forever. She had been fated to him, as he was fated to her. Tears burned in her eyes at her thoughts and she felt whole for the first time in her crazy life. It didn’t matter what happened to them from now on, they’d always be together.
“Oh god, Melina.” Henry groaned loudly. He felt his body gathering and shuddered in anticipation as her moist heat gripped harder around him, making Henry lose control of his movements.
He was drowning in the desperate and erotic sensations she was creating on both of them, and the next minute, their bodies were rippling with life, playing havoc in his mind. Melina tightened around him. Her walls clenched, and he plunged harder and deeper, wanting to bury himself inside her forever. They exploded together, shattering into a million pieces. Melina screamed his name and Henry surrendered himself to her with an intensity he would never forget. Melina fell on his chest, their hearts finally beating together. Same rhythm, same compass. His evergreen and hazelnut perfume added to the beauty of the moment.
“I love you… Melina.” He could barely speak the words. “I’m marrying you off this weekend.” His arm flung to her back, securing her in place when she tried to move. “Don’t move! I’m not ready to part from you just yet.”
“No, you’re not. I’m not marrying you.” As she spoke the words, his body tensed beneath her, his breath hitching in his throat. Melina cradled his head to her, kissing his temple and moving to his ear. “I’m not marrying you, not under those terms, but it doesn’t mean I don’t love you, silly man. Give yourself to me, trust me, Henry. Let me care for you the way you deserve.” She whispered to him, and when he relaxed, Melina raised her head and stared at him.
Henry knew what she would find in his eyes, unshed tears. But that was the last thing he’d do. He wasn’t the crying type. It didn’t matter the situation, and he wasn’t about to start there. There were so many emotions running wild inside him at that moment. He couldn’t think straight since Melina was all over his senses, and her words just made him more vulnerable, but he’d die first, before admitting to that.
“Melina…” He grunted, but she cut him off, claiming his lips to her, shutting him up. Kissing him long and deep, pouring all her love for him in there, so why wouldn’t he marry him?
“Come, let’s take a shower before Eve gets home. We need to clean your wound, change the patches and bandage. Trust me, you’ll not regret it.”
She untangled herself from him, standing beside the bed, and gazing back with a wicked expression. His only option was to take her hand when she extended it to him and follow her to the bathroom. They left the shower an hour later, and she was right. He didn’t regret it. His Kitty Kat was all over him again, and he would never look to that stall the same way as before. Melina took him to the closet, addressed his wound, helped him in fresh clothes, dressed herself, and as soon as they were ready, they heard Evangeline’s squeaks of happiness coming from the living room.
“Melina, we need to talk. We’re getting married this weekend.”
“Are you going to persist with this nonsense? I don’t believe after everything that happened between us, you are about to force me into something I didn’t agree upon, Henry!” Her chocolaty orbs glinted with emotion and flashed fire at him. “I asked you to trust me. Why is that so hard for you?”
God! Why was it so hard for him? Because he lost part of his life in a mob under a ruthless boss, people he loved got hurt and taken away from him. His brother got killed because his boss couldn’t get rid of him. Lots of people betrayed him and he got tortured beyond endurance. He’s actions hurt her and drove her away, lost and found her so many times, he lost count.
Would those reasons be enough for her understanding? Nope, he wasn’t about to speak all his fears out-loud to her. That was out of the question, besides she was too quiet about his supposed bad dream a week ago. With all the medicine and painkillers, he relived the day Velasquez and Skitter burned his back over and over, and she knew he got tortured so they wouldn’t touch her, and she didn’t say a word to him. If she could pretend not to know anything, he could pretend as well.
