Chapter 53 Every decision has consequences.
After returning to their private mansion, Danieru and Camilla began devising a strategy to get closer to the Malaike family. They were writing their respective plans and looked quite serious.
For the past two hours, the living room on the top floor of Danieru's mansion had become the perfect place for their discussions. They had consumed several bowls of instant noodles, simply contemplating something they could easily do.
"Enough!" Danieru, now wearing a tie-like headband, looked at Camilla, who seemed perfectly content with a pile of papers. She seemed preoccupied with herself, thoroughly enjoying the time they were spending.
"What are you doing? Why are you smiling like an idiot? What plan are you making? Is it that interesting?" Danieru asked in succession.
Camilla became irritated by Danieru's questions. The woman averted her attention, her face looking very sour and her gaze extremely sharp.
Danieru, facing such a stare, swallowed hard. The man gave a wide smile that revealed his clean, white teeth.
“Eeeengg... why are you looking at me like that? Am I too handsome?” Danieru asked, trying to change the subject.
Instead of being happy, Camilla became even more annoyed. The fantasy she had been weaving like a rainbow after rain was shattered by the interruption of a man with a stupid grin in front of her.
“Why are you just standing there?” Danieru asked, feeling increasingly uncomfortable.
“Listen,” Camilla said. She placed the notebook and pen she was holding on to on the table. The woman immediately stood up, approached Danieru, and smiled broadly.
Danieru felt increasingly uncomfortable, scratching the back of his neck, which didn't itch at all.
“I'm making a plan, and you have to be quiet while I make the details of it.” Camilla brought her face closer to Danieru's, cupping his chin, and smiling sweetly.
“Plan?” Danieru asked softly.
“Hmmm...” Camilla nodded.
“What's the plan?” Danieru became very curious, wanting to see what kind of plan Camilla had in mind that made her look so serious.
Camilla, hearing Danieru's question, immediately moved away from him. She looked very satisfied, then grabbed the piece of paper she had written on.
"Read it," Camilla said, handing it to her husband.
Danieru immediately grabbed the paper, reading it verse by verse, and scrutinizing the writing carefully.
"How was it?" Camilla asked then.
"You wrote a blurb, a prologue, and then added the outline. Is what we're doing this time like a novel to you? You wrote everything in such detail, even explaining the outline so clearly."
Camilla grinned, crossing her arms and touching her nose with her right thumb.
Danieru, watching his wife's increasingly uneasy behavior, could see that she was very confident now.
"Right, I'll make up a story about how we enter the main house of the nuclear family. And pretend we're acting out a play," Camilla said confidently.
“You wrote that your mother-in-law doesn't treat you well. She always tries to push you aside and makes you look like a guilty person in her husband's eyes.” Danieru looked very upset. His mother was very kind and loving to Camilla.
“Hey... hey... let's just say your father is going to play the evil mother-in-law,” Camilla defended herself.
“Still...” The man looked back at the lines she had written on the paper. He almost laughed, but quickly and accurately concealed it. “... Still, we won't be able to imagine it properly. Have you been reading some romantic novels lately, or have you watched Korean dramas?”
Camilla, hearing her husband's question, was a little taken aback. “Ahem... I forgot to tell you I'm a writer.”
Danieru stared at Camilla for a long moment, then turned his head away.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Is something wrong?” Camilla asked.
“No, I was just imagining what your imagination would produce.”
Camilla glared in annoyance, then glanced at the paper on the table. She grabbed it and read it carefully. She smiled, quite impressed with her husband's careful decision-making.
Everything Danieru wrote was very detailed; it was clear the man's imagination was more based on real life than on writing with a cheesy drama in mind.
Danieru, who hadn't heard Camilla's voice, stared at the woman. He was quite surprised when Camilla saw his handwriting.
"First, we have to find a compelling reason to stay in the main house." Camilla began to think, following Danieru's approach of always looking at things from various angles.
"What do you think is the best way?" Danieru asked, leaning back against the sofa and tilting his head back.
Danieru glanced at Camilla, and the man pulled her onto his lap. He then hugged her and rested her head on her chest.
Camilla, accustomed to Danieru's behavior, also seemed to relax. She returned to her thoughts and ignored Danieru, who closed his eyes.
"Doggie, why don't we make up an excuse if we're so bored in this house alone?" Camilla asked.
"If we give that reason, that bastard old man will definitely become suspicious and investigate our true intentions."
Camilla stared blankly at her husband. She knew that every path has its pitfalls, but they wouldn't go well if they dwelled on them.
"You're overthinking things. It's better to relax a little. Besides, we have a reason to return. You're Mother's biological daughter, and you're also part of the immediate family." Camilla stared at Danieru. She knew he was indeed overly critical of everything. But if he always acted like that, then he wouldn't be able to achieve anything.
"Every decision has consequences. But those consequences won't necessarily reveal your trump card."
"Kitty, but the way I wrote it is something I really don't want to do."
Camilla glared angrily. "Use my plan, don't overthink it, and I don't want to be contradicted!"
Danieru glanced at Camilla, trying to accept her decision.
"Are you going to do everything in this script?" Danieru asked.
Camilla grabbed the paper that had been in her husband's hand. She immediately tore it into small pieces, then with a smile, she threw it into the air.
Danieru stared at Camilla, the small pieces of paper flying and blowing in the wind. The man smiled and kissed her gently on the lips.
Camilla immediately closed her eyes, and she and Danieru kissed for a long time. Camilla felt his embrace tighten, and she didn't resist as he deepened the kiss.
She immediately opened her eyes when Danieru broke the kiss. She met his gaze and felt her heart beating really fast. The man wiped his wet lips with his right thumb.
“Kitty, tell me what the plan is.”
Camilla immediately leaned in close to Danieru, whispering and smiling. Danieru, listening to her explanation, sometimes had to hold back his irritation.
“Do you understand?” Camilla stroked Danieru’s hair, smiling as she met his gaze again.
“I understand, but when are you going to carry out the plan?” Danieru asked.
“Do you have Rachel’s phone number?” Camilla asked.
Danieru rolled his eyes in annoyance, glanced at his wife, and immediately reached for his phone on the table. He felt fortunate that he was taking a break from work, and he could easily concentrate on thinking about the most realistic aspects of his wife’s plan.
Danieru immediately gave Camilla Rachel’s phone number, smiling when she finished writing it down.
“When will you be back at work?” Camilla asked.
“Probably tomorrow,” Danieru replied.
“Good,” Camilla said.
"How long have you been away from work?" Camilla asked.
"I've been absent for two months, just taking care of some things from home. Besides being lazy, I also feel like the company isn't progressing well."
Camilla smacked Danieru's head, and he immediately stroked the part of his head that had been hit by Camilla.
"No wonder your father doesn't trust you. You always act like this, you're really annoying." Camilla immediately stood up, completely irritated by her husband's arbitrary behavior.
"Kitty, what do you mean?"
Camilla stared at Danieru. "We're not going to carry out my previous plan. Now we have to win your father's attention with hard work. And that way, we can get a way into the nuclear family home."
Danieru looked at his wife. "What's the plan?"
"Shut up, I'm trying to figure out how to contact a man named Jay. He'll definitely be able to help us out."
Danieru looked displeased, and he was also quite jealous of the man named Jay.
Drrrttt ...
Drrrttt ...
Drrrttt ...
Camilla and Danieru stared at Danieru's phone. A call came in from an unknown number, and Danieru felt a little strange.
He never gave his phone number to anyone, but someone was calling him.
"Answer," Camilla said.
Danieru immediately reached for his phone and answered the call.
"My secretary will be coming to your mansion tomorrow. I already know what Camilla is thinking."
"Who are you?"
"Jay."
The call ended immediately, and Danieru looked at Camilla. He suddenly remembered something: a man named Cancri had implanted chips in himself and Camilla, so that everything they did or thought became complete data that Cancri could access.
Drrrttt ...
Drrrttt ...
Drrrttt ...
Danieru looked at his phone again. This time, a message came in.
'The system will automatically reject lewd thoughts and when you are engaging in activities involving the union of the two poles.'
Danieru made a sour face, while Camilla, curious, quickly read the message.
“Are the mafia really that annoying?” the woman muttered.
The phone in Camilla’s hand vibrated again. A message came in, and Camilla read it.
“We respect bedroom activities quite a bit, and that’s not a lewd thought.”
Camilla threw Danieru’s phone. She didn’t need to find a way to contact the mafia; just thinking about them would be enough to contact her.
“Why did you throw my phone?”
Camilla looked away. “I’m upset, and don’t ask me now.”
