Back in my arms

Back in my arms
It took me everything to not roar out loud on how that was not her business but then i looked at her, giving her a smile that seemed to send her over the edge.
I sat down, looking her straight in the eye. I was done talking. Now, all i just had to do was wait.
My silence seemed to take her into uncomfortable silence so she used her legs to scatter the white sand, sending it all over the room, yet, i said nothing. Looking at her like she was crazy, at this point, i was certain that she was crazy with this stunt she had dared to pull.
Soon, the door burst open, her parents being shoved into the room in the most aggresive manner.
Her father grunted, most likely from the impact the fall had on his knee. While her mother cried, going to hold her husband.
I would have cooed at how cute they were being, but i had not time for that at the moment.
‘what if Valarrak gets to her?’ the thought crossed my mind making me freeze for a second. I gulped, wanting nothing more than to shit myself but i held it together.
There was a bit of satisfaction on my face as i watched her face go white.
“what… what is the meaning of this!!!” she snapped, rushing to her parents and standing in front of them, in an attempt to shield them.
I nodded to the guard who grabbed the father. A little more than was comfortable to the eyes, but i did not mind.
“stop!!!!” she screamed, her voice cracking in the process as the veins in her neck popped as she yelled
“i…” she swallowed “you can’t do this to them. After all they have done for you. They took you in! They made sure you were fed when you had no place to go… you can’t pay them back this way!!” the tears in her eyes gathered, looking at me like i had taken a knife to her chest.
“it feels familiar in some way, does it not?” i finally said, tiliting my head to the side. “it’s simple, create the portal and i go find her, then we put this all behind us.
“Elizabeth” the mother called in a shaking voice. I watched as her gaze softened as she turned to look at her mum. She nodded.
“he would not dare.” she whispered which made a smirk spread on my lips.
“hair” was all i said, looking at the guard, he nodded, grabbing a fist full of his hair and yanking it out of his scalp.
At this point, his screams filled the room, making me want to smile. “stop!!!!! you are hurting him!!!!!!! please!!” her pleas fell on deaf ears as the guards continued, plucking out every bit of hair until he was done.
“Please!” she cried, scrambling to her knees as she crawled towards me. “stop, for old times sake, for the care he showed and…”
“cut the drama Beth, you know what to do to stop the torture.” i said, giving her a point blank look.
She scrambled to her feet, gathering every bit of the white dust that had spread across the room, she started forming the circle.
“legs” i called, causing her to snap and look at me. “only the one that is troubled.” her face had turned white from the struggle.
“i am doing it already!!!” she said, coming close to me.
“i would suggest you work faster or there would not be any guarantee that he survives when we are done.
She looked at me, the tears streaming down her face but i could not bring myself to care anymore.
“son, please” the mother called in that soft and gentle tone when she wanted to ask me for something. “it does not have to be this way.” she looked at me with this eyes that were filled with hurt as her husband’s screams filled the room.
“it would not have come to this if she hadn’t been so stubborn.”
“I…”
“just save your breath mum”
I said, cutting of whatever it was she was going to say. “you would need it when it is your turn to scream.” i said, letting the twisted look on my face spread.
Beth worked with the speed of light. Stopping occassionally to wipe her tears or take in a deep breath to steady her hands.
“chest!” i boomed after seeing that she was done with the circle.
“NO!!!!! it would kill him!” she said, looking at me with a pleading gaze, trying to reason with me.
“if it’s meant to be he would live, if not…” i shrugged. “summon her and maybe your mother gets a chance to survive” she started mumbling the words before she was cut of with a sickening crack of his rib cage.
I closed my eyes, basking in the silence before her mother’s screams tore through the room. I opened my eyes, watching as blood poured out of his mouth.
He looked at me, as though he wanted to say something, but he could not. He was too focused on breathing to want to say something else.
It was pointless either ways. When the blood had entered his lungs fully, he would stop breathing.
Beth stopped. She stood in the middle of the circle like she no longer existed.
“take the mother” i muttered. That seemed to get her back to her chants. The tears rolling down her eyes as she turned hysterical. But then it stopped.
Everything went still, except the gasping of her father but i paid no mind to that. I felt the ground shake before a portal opened. She let out a sigh, as she approached it. It was soo small. Only able to fit a hand in there.
She reached for it. As though she wanted to grab something.
“I lo-ve yo-u” his words came from the other side of the room, and don’t you ev-er forget that, you and be-th” then it went silent.
I watched her hands shake as she pulled Mika out of the portal, barely doing it but somehow still managing to do it..
“NO!!!!” her mother screamed, grabbing on the the now dead body of her husband but i did not mind, i could honstly care less as my eyes was fixed on the barely moving body of Mika..
