“My Lady” Beth called, entering into the room with panic on her face.
“Beth” i smiled at her, genuinely happy that she was here.
“Darius… where is he?” i said, not liking the way he had walked out earlier.
He looked as though everything was fine, but the way he looked at me, those eyes. “I..” she cleared her throat, looking at me briefly before avoiding my gaze. “I do not know where he might have gone your highness.” she did not even bother to look at me this time around.
“is there something wrong?” i asked, looking at her, trying to match her gaze.
“forgive me my lady but…” i bit my cheeks, waiting for what felt like forever before she spoke again.
“did you follow me?” i looked taken aback by her question” she looked at me, waiting for me to say something.
“Excuse me?” i blinked, looking at her with wide eyes
“you had no right my Lady!!!” she snapped, looking at me with sharp eyes.
“excuse me?” the words were coming out of my mouth without me knowing what else to say.
“that was his safe Haven, my lady! And you went there and ruined it!!!”
I took a step closer, trying to make her a bit intimidated, and it worked, she took a step back, bowing her head but that did not seem to stop her.
“I mean no disrespect my lady but…”
“you meant every word.” i said, cutting her off. “and you know it. You think i would purposely hurt him? That i would dare to do that to him?”
“you entered into his safe space and…” she stammered, trying to get her words out but i did not want to have it.
“that is none of your business.!!” her eyes widened at the shock. “what Darius and I do? It is none of your business, so i suggest you stick that into your head from now on” he looked at me, her face going pale as i spoke.
“I am sorry my lady” she said, scrambling to her feet so that she could leave.
I watched as closed the door as calmly as possible, trying not to slam it, then my shoulders fell.
“did i go too far?” i walked out of the room, deciding it was best to go look for him.

Four hours.
Four bloody hours and i was still yet to find him. I had checked every damned place in this castle but he was not there, then i stopped,
What if he was still there?’ i thought, my mind going back to the garden i had met him earlier.
‘what if…’ my legs going before my mind could even process the thought fully.
“Dar-” the words died on my tongue before i could get a chance to complete the words.
He sat in the middle of the garden, just the way he had done earlier, looking at the sky with his shoulders shaking.
“Darius?” i called, softer this time around. His shoulders froze, as though he was no longer breathing. “are you okay? I checked the cell were you said were but then..” i stopped, looking at the tears streaking down his face.
I felt my eyes widen “Darius!!!” i rushed towards him. He pushed me away. Looking away from me.
“you should not see me like this” he said, wiping his eyes as quickly as he could.
“what is wrong.”
“you should not be here” he said, still looking away from me.
“Come on, you are clearly not okay. Is it your head? Does it hurt? Is it your-'“
“by the goddess Mika!!!” he said, shoving me aggressively to the side.
He looked at me for a brief second with that look of guilt in his eyes.
“i did not mean to” he said, his voice low. I picked myself from the floor.
“well it very well looked like you meant to though” my voice came out in a low whisper, like it could barely be heard. But somehow, he heard every single word that came out of my mouth as his face twisted in rage.
“by the Goddess Mika!!!” he groaned, looking at me with so much irritation that i barely stepped back. “what the fuck do you want from me!!!” he yelled.
“i just wanted to know what was wrong!!” i said, starting to lose my cool.
“I just want my fucking peace!!!!!” he boomed, looking at me with rage in his eyes.
The world seemed to grow silent after that.
“I am sorry" he shook his head, clearly not taking my apology.
“i just want to be alone right now, please” i shook my head at the request even though there were several questions flooding my mind at the time.
‘did he hate me now? Was this what he was talking about yesterday about giving each other space? Was this it?’ The thoughts were runnning through my mind, making my feet freeze in place
“I understand” i said instead, swallowing the words that wanted to come out of my mouth.
“thank you Mika” he said, letting out a sigh.
“but…” i held back the words that wanted to come out of my mouth again,
“what?” he asked when he saw that i was not going to say anything.
“don’t worry about it” he looked a me for a while before he let out a sigh.
“you have that on wrong” he said, coming closer to me. I could feel the heat of his body, making almost impossible for me to concentrate.
He took the pendant, turning it the other way around so that it was not visible at first.
It burned. I took in a deep breath, trying to calm myself the best i could, but it did not seem possible.
Every single place he touched that i could feel the heat radiate off of him burned. I bit my lips, trying to seal my lips to prevent myself from making any embarassing sounds
“i would be going into heat soon” he said, making me look up at him. “it’s no excuse, but it’s mostly the reason why i have been over the place.
“what if…” i said, grabbing his clothes, an attempt to stop him. “what if i helped?” I said, looking him straight in the eyes…
