Trent, I'll show you who's boss
Trent, I'll show you who's boss
Travis's POV
“Hello, Marcus.” My hands digged into my phone. Anger passing through my veins like I would destroy the phone..
“Sir ….”
“Where is my…. where is Mr Trent? Where is Trent?”
“You mean your Father?”
“Don't you call that idiot my Father!” My jaws tightened and I shake my head in anger.
“Mr Trent should be at his home, I suppose.”
“You suppose? Find him. I don't know but don't go alone. Take my guards Along. Do whatever you can and bring his stupid ass to my mansion now, even if it means forcefully breaking in. Just take him.”
“But…...” He stammered and I yelled. “Just do it before I get over there and pounce on you!” I ended the call and started driving furiously. This was the time Hillary needs me the most. She's been through a lot. I sped back home and while I was home, A car was parked outside and it was Marcus. I hoped they were about submitting the assignment I gave. The door opened and one of my men, emerged pulling out my father. That bastard. Good thing I had always enforced security. I couldn't hide or hold my annoyance anymore. I ran at him and my punch sent him to the ground, releasing multiple blows on his face.
“Why did you do it. Huh? Why..,”
His nose starts to bleed and I kicked him roughly on the ground.
“What the hell are you doing.” He swiftly charged on his feet. This fight was between us.
“Don't you have any shame?”
“What the hell is this about?” He made his move to charge on me but was held down by my men.
“How dare you lay your hands on her?!” my fist was ready to make another dangerous blow.
He still had the nerves to talk back. “What nonsense? How dare you insult your own father.” His eyes moved to the men pinning him down.
“Let go of me this instance !”
But his words irritated me. I was fucking disgusted. Immediately, my fist collided with his jaw. The blow was effective, his body set apart from the hands of my men, stumbling backwards. They tried to hold him back but I stopped them.
“Leave it to me.”
Obeying me, they gave space. I wanted to handle this man the way I've always wanted to. But I was holding back for too long, especially because of my mother. Now all the loneliness and fatherless life I spent accumulating with the present, abusive father to my girlfriend? Nahh, this man would make me disown him at the spot.
He groaned, breathing as he tried to stand. I haven't even started.
“The girl you assaulted? Is not just some pet to you that you can play with. She's mine!” I stomped on his leg, twisting it. I heard the cracking of bones and his shouts filled the air.
“You even threatened her to step away from my life, made her scared too.” I pulled him closer from the collar of his suit and punched his eye, thrice.
“That's for what you did to her face.”
“Beat me all you can. That doesn't change the fact that I enjoyed what I did.” He smiled, satisfied.
Pain was etched on my face and I dropped him back to the floor.
“Psycopath.” I whispered, my hands were clawed into my hair and I looked around the room, looking for an object to destroy his body. He was getting on my nerves too much. My eyes fell on the fireplace mantel and there it was, heavy brass ornament. Aha. I strode over it and picked it up. I felt the weight heavy on my hand.
Father's smile turned into a shocked one.
“Son, don't.” he pushed himself backwards. “Let's talk about this and don't overreact.”
“You're a threat to everyone. You don't deserve the title of being a father, Trent!” I said in anger.
“Travis, Don't…. whatever you're doing? Please I'm still your father and we make mistakes right?”
My nostrils flared in anger as I gaze upon him. Had I become a monster by being so violent?
Hell, No.
No one would touch Hillary and go Scot-free.
“Remember when you taught me to be violent right before you left? Thank you so much. Because I'm about to use that on you.”
One drop. One strike, aimed carefully. Right across his neck, by his shoulders. The brass fell on him, shattering into pieces. The sound hit differently like a gunshot. Happiness and relief filled my heart watching him suffer.
“Mom should be here to watch you suffer but….on second thought, she'd scold me and…. maybe regret having me as a son, but I don't fucking care. I'm sure you also spoiled her mindset about Hillary. Fuck you.”
He couldn't speak, he was useless and weak. That pain had killed him, I wouldn't be so sure he would walk. I snapped, turned to Marcus.
“Call the police. Press every charge. I want him–”
I wasn't done talking when Elena stormed in. She was holding a white box and dropped it on the table.
“On my gosh.” She covered her mouth.
“It's nothing. He assaulted Hillary. Did a lot of disgusting things, so I just wanted to teach him a lesson.”
She raised her brows in shock.
“Call me fucking police.”
“Uh, Travis…..” Elena steps closer, whispering that only us could hear. “ Why would he do that?” She asks, surprised.
“Because he's a fool!” I said aloud.
“Shh.” She hushed me and I shrugged. “Why should I quiet down?”
She continued whispering. “Well, that's very stupid but I think you shouldn't tell the police yet, instead just place him in the holding room for now. Then tomorrow you can involve the police.”
I groaned. “Why not mow?”
“You know how the police can be. They'd interrogate you on why you best him up and their shitty assault policy whatever. You don't want to spend the night giving speeches when tomorrow is your big day.”
That rang a bell in my head. “Ohh.” I calmed down. “That's true.”
“Marcus, place him in the waiting room. Y'all make sure he's guided. Do not let him die. He needs to suffer first. Don't even make him escape. Be smart, especially the both of you.” I point to the others. “He won't be released until I give orders tomorrow."
I have a wedding to attend tomorrow. I have to be there for Hillary.
