chapter 26 Crybaby
Genesis's POV:
When did Jordan ever say such a thing!
I widened my eyes slightly and met Eli's deep gaze, clearly seeing the teasing in his eyes.
I knew he was just purely trying to mess with me.
I pressed my lips together and really endured the pain in my body, planning to kneel down to accompany Eli.
But Eli pressed down on my knees. He sat cross-legged on the ground, clearly a head shorter than me, yet frowned with full authority. "You little mute are really boring. Can't you tell I'm joking with you?"
I could guarantee that if I had refused him, he would definitely find various reasons to torment me again.
"Since Jordan didn't mention you, that means this has nothing to do with you. Are you stupid? Rushing to get punished!" Eli simply lay down on the ground, completely ignoring his back that had just been beaten badly.
\[That's really great. Jordan isn't angry with me anymore.\] I typed with a fake smile.
Who knew Eli got even angrier seeing this. He jumped up from the ground and gripped my face tightly. "Talk about being heartless, you really are heartless! The one who helped you get revenge was me, the one who cleared your name was also me, but in the end you thank Jordan? Did you get scared stupid?"
My face was deformed from his grip. He forcibly placed my hand on the phone and raised an eyebrow. "Start now. I want to see how you thank me."
I really wanted to roll my eyes hard!
If he hadn't insisted on punishing Sofia and forced me to play Russian roulette, how would today's events have happened?!
\[You're truly the kindest, most understanding, most generous good person I've ever met.\] I typed with a smile. Eli narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Why do I feel this isn't thanks but more like mockery?"
I blinked innocently and shook my head. \[I'm so grateful to you, how could it be mockery?\]
Eli simply grabbed my cheeks with both hands and pulled them apart forcefully. "Don't think I don't know. You little mute are definitely cursing me in your heart right now."
I immediately shook my head.
\[I really didn't...\]
I'd only typed half when Eli swept away my phone and placed his palm on my forehead.
After a moment, he frowned tightly. "You have a fever!"
I had a fever?
Since catching cold last night, I'd been feeling unwell. This morning I was originally going to find the family doctor to check on me, but with Eli's situation disrupting everything, I'd forgotten about it.
\[Probably.\] I showed him the phone, then sat back in the wheelchair, planning to find Susan to push me back.
I already had a fever. Eli surely wouldn't drag me to accompany him in punishment anymore.
"I'll take you back to your room and have the family doctor check on you."
Eli walked behind me, planning to push me back to the room, but I stopped him.
\[Jordan is very angry now. If you leave without permission again, he'll definitely be even more furious!\]
I used my phone to show Susan's name, indicating I could have her push me back to find the doctor.
But Eli clicked his tongue impatiently. "When have I ever listened to Jordan since childhood? I've never properly accepted punishment."
Jordan wouldn't punish him, but he would punish me!
If he knew Eli caused trouble because of me and escaped punishment for me, his impression of me would definitely get worse.
\[But constantly making Jordan angry isn't good for your family status. I don't want you to be punished again over something small like calling a doctor.\]
Seeing my words, Eli's expression miraculously improved somewhat.
He pinched my cheeks and clicked his tongue in wonder. "Didn't expect you little mute aren't completely heartless. You actually worry about affecting my status in the family."
I knew it. Dealing with Eli required stroking his ego.
I nodded seriously. \[You've helped me several times. I should be grateful to you.\]
"Good that you know." Eli thought for a moment, then still took out his phone to call the family doctor.
After giving quiet instructions, he said to me, "Have Susan take you back now. The doctor will wait for you in your room."
I obediently agreed.
Before I left, Eli suddenly reached out and ruffled my hair. "Little mute, I didn't worry about you for nothing."
Seeing Eli's smug look, I felt inexplicably guilty. I nodded at him and fled the room.
After returning to my room, I took the medicine the doctor prescribed and fell into a deep sleep.
From Delilah's perspective:
I never dreamed Sofia would be brought before me bloody and mangled.
She struggled constantly like she'd gone mad, screaming loudly, "I'm sorry, I was wrong! Please spare me!"
Just two days ago she was excitedly telling me about tormenting that little bitch Genesis. How did she suddenly become like this?
I couldn't connect this bloody person with the beauty-loving Sofia at all!
My aunt Rona grabbed my wrist with tears streaming. "Delilah, you have to help Sofia! Eli did all this!"
Eli?
I looked at my aunt in confusion, not understanding what she meant.
How could Eli treat Sofia this way? He clearly knew Sofia was my cousin! Doing this was slapping my face!
Aunt Rona couldn't help crying out loud. "Just because Sofia bullied that mute at school, Eli kidnapped Sofia! He tied Sofia to Russian roulette and shot at her!"
Russian roulette? I looked at Sofia in shock. She indeed had obvious wounds on her body!
I stood up abruptly and paced anxiously in place.
"No way! Eli clearly said he doesn't like that bitch. How could he deliberately stand up for her?!"
I glanced at the still-crazed Sofia, refusing to believe Eli had really done all this.
However, Uncle Rogan shattered my last hope.
He said chokingly, "They even dumped Sofia at our doorstep! I recognized that man. He's Eli's confidant Walker! He doesn't take the Nelson family seriously at all!"
Bang!
I smashed the teacup heavily on the ground. The flying fragments even cut Sofia's skin.
But I didn't care!
As long as Eli was happy, it wouldn't matter if he killed Sofia. But why! Why did he have to vent for that bitch!
He had promised me! He would absolutely never like that dead mute!
But now, he went after Sofia for that bitch!
I was so angry my eyes turned red. I drew my gun and aimed at Sofia. "Tell me, did Eli really hurt you like this?"
Sofia screamed in terror, making gibberish sounds.
Too noisy!
I couldn't understand what she was saying at all!
Aunt Rona rushed over in fright to comfort Sofia. "Did Eli vent for that woman? Just nod."
Sofia nodded with difficulty.
I irritably threw the gun aside and waved dismissively. "Fine, I know. I'll get revenge for you."
