Chapter 53 Bryan Got Blocked
Elena slept well that night.
When she woke up, Jessica was still kneeling on the ground. Broken glass shards were scattered around her. Jessica's eyes were swollen, making her look very miserable.
She bent down, "Jessica, remember the lesson from this. Don't mess with my people, otherwise, this will be your fate."
Then, she looked at Eliam, "You two go rest for a while."
Jessica had been tortured all night, and her arrogance had long dissipated. When Eliam and the other bodyguard finally let go of her, she stumbled forward and fell.
She was too tired.
At the Richter Group, Paul noticed that Bryan seemed a bit off today.
"Mr. Richter, your cellphone is turned off. Should I take it to charge for you?"
This had never happened before. Everyone in the company knew that their CEO was a workaholic. So what had happened to him today?
Bryan furrowed his eyebrows, "I tried calling the other party, but my phone kept showing that the number was out of service. What does this mean?"
Bryan was puzzled, as he had never encountered such a situation before.
Paul swallowed nervously. Then he tentatively looked at Bryan, "Is it possible that you've been blocked by the other party?"
When Bryan heard this, his face instantly darkened.
He had been blocked?
"Give me your phone." Bryan spoke with a deep voice.
Paul obediently handed over the phone.
Bryan memorized the string of numbers.
He dialed.
"Hello?"
Three seconds later, a casual female voice came from the phone.
The man pursed his lips, his expression becoming even more terrifyingly gloomy.
"Are you selling advertisements?" the woman asked with confusion. She didn't get a response for a long time, so she hung up the phone with a snap.
Bryan's expression turned slightly cold because he was really blocked.
"Mr. Richter, you don't have to worry too much. It was probably Ms. Winston's mistake, no, she was very careless in blocking you," Paul reassured Bryan, his face showing a hint of nervousness.
After all, Bryan was blocked, and he really pitied him.
"Get lost," Bryan said coldly.
"Okay." At this moment, when Paul heard these words, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Bryan's face became darker and darker. He felt extremely annoyed and suppressed at the thought of being blocked. It seemed like something was pressing on his chest, making it hard for him to breathe.
Suddenly, the phone rang.
[Mr. Richter, hello. This is Jessica, do you remember me?]
Bryan glanced at the message. He hadn't labeled this account, so he naturally didn't know who it was.
She was a member of the Winston family. He seemed to have some impression of her.
Bryan thought for a moment. Perhaps he could extract some information about Elena from Jessica.
[Of course.]
After a long time, Bryan finally replied slowly.
Jessica, who received a reply, almost jumped up in excitement.
After resting for a while, she regained her spirits.
Sure enough! Bryan treated her differently. With her looks, how many people could resist her?
Jessica boldly sent an invitation.
[Mr. Richter, do you have time tonight? There's a great movie premiering tonight. Can we go see it together?]
However, after she sent that message, she didn't receive a reply.
Bryan threw his phone aside. A movie?
He remembered Elena also mentioned she wanted to go to the movies with him.
At that time, he only said one thing, "I have to work."
Elena was understanding. She wouldn't throw a tantrum or act unreasonably. Once she was rejected, she would obediently nod her head.
Bryan pursed his lips, realizing that he had ignored Elena's feelings too much.
"Be With You Forever premiered tonight, and I bought two movie tickets. Elena, let's go watch a movie together," Nina sent a cheerful voice message.
It had been three days since they broke up. Although Nina still felt sad when she thought of that man, she was slowly adapting.
Nina wanted to relax tonight because there was a movie that she and Elena liked, so she wanted to go and unwind.
Elena tilted her head. Luckily, she was free tonight, so she immediately agreed without hesitation.
"Elena, remember to bring tissues. I heard this movie is a tragic love story," Nina kindly reminded.
Elena rolled her eyes. Every time they watched a movie together, Nina always ended up crying so sadly. "Okay, Nina, don't bother me anymore. See you tonight," Elena ended the conversation with a smile and continued with her work.
Time ticked away. Jessica looked anxiously at the message she had sent and still hadn't received a reply.
[Mr. Richter, can we discuss something about my Elena?] Jessica planned to use Elena as a breakthrough point. After all, Bryan and Elena were once married.
[Send me the time and location,] he immediately replied to the message this time.
Jessica instantly became happy. She quickly took a screenshot of the movie ticket and sent it over.
Regardless, the fact that Bryan was willing to go see the movie with her was a good start.
Jessica didn't expect that the foolish woman would have some use at a crucial moment.
Happily, Jessica went to Elena's room. Tonight, she wanted to dress up and make herself look beautiful, hoping that Bryan would fall for her as soon as he saw her.
She heard that Elena's wardrobe was full of expensive clothes. Jessica rolled her eyes. Did a woman like Elena deserve to wear such expensive clothing?
Expensive clothes also need the right person to wear them. After opening the glass wardrobe, Jessica was instantly captivated by the clothes in front of her. She didn't expect Elena to have such good taste. These clothes were all styles that Jessica had never seen before. Jessica felt a tinge of jealousy. She wished she could empty Elena's wardrobe.
