Chapter 42 Where is the way back?

Chapter 42 Where is the way back?
Asha
I place a hand over my mouth to stifle my gasp. Fuck, now he knows someone was listening to him. Panicked, I try to make a run for it, but strong arms grab my wrist and yank me backward.
Cold metal presses against my head, and the click of a trigger follows.
   "Who the fuck are you?"
   "A.. Asha," I squeak.
He spins me around, his sharp eyes scrutinizing my face.
"Asha? What are you doing here?"
I open my mouth to think of something, but nothing comes into my head. It's empty.
"You had me thinking someone had broken in or something," he lets go of me, "You shouldn't creep around corners like that."
Well, aren't you creeping around corners?
I manage to force a toothy smile, "O-of course! I was just trying to get back to my room, and accidentally knocked this vase over," I laugh awkwardly, picking the vase up, and placing it back in its original position.
"Don't mind me, I'll leave now," I take a few steps backwards, whirl around, and hurry out of his sight.
My heart is still pounding in my ears, my knees giving out more than once.
"I would have turned into grilled meat today," I breathlessly mutter as I arrive at the garden.
I collapse to the ground on my knees, my heart pounding in my ears.
"That was a close one," I suck in my breath quickly.
"I think I'd investigate on my own rather than telling Auren first. He can be pretty brutal," I place a hand on my forehead.
My life has been filled with a lot of turbulence recently. Everything has been working against me. From one bad thing to another.
My head falls, "I have to do anything to stay alive, and in order for that to happen, I'd have to take down whoever that mole is."
I hold my head as if I could practically pluck out my frustration through that move.
You'll be fine Asha— as soon as you get a hold of whoever that mole is.
I raise my head just in time to see Raze walking by. He looks more suspicious than the last time in the hallway. He is looking around to see if anyone is watching him. Luckily for me, I'm behind a tall wall of roses, so he can't see me.
I watch him walk steadily towards the gate, and leave quietly.
"I'm following him," I get to my feet, "He's most definitely going to meet his real bosses."
Asha, my love, don't. You'll get yourself in trouble.
Lucien's ever soothing voice pops up again in my head.
"Why can't I? My life's at risk because of him," I grind my teeth hard.
He's not who you're looking for. He's not the mole.
I roll my eyes, "I'm sorry, Lucien baby, but I can't listen to you all the time," I make my way out of the garden.
Girl, you should probably listen to him, even though he's annoying as fuck.
There Lola's voice is, and she's supporting him!
Remember, if you're away from Auren for more than three hours, he'll be greatly affected.
I bite my lower lip in thought, hating how that thought makes me hesitate a little.
C'mon, you don't want him dead, do you? Lola asks.
I shake my head, "That's enough, you two. I'm not listening to any of you."
With that, I shut their voices out of my head. For once, I want to do something without these wolves' voices butting in.
I hurry over to the gate, making sure no one sees me before I slip out.
Raze is already a noticeable distance away. Quietly, I begin to trail him.
On my life this feels like being some kind of spy! Ugh, this is why I can't die early, there are so many things to do before I eventually die.
Raze takes a turn I never knew existed. Whenever we embark of Auren's missions, we always take the same routes over again.
"No way, how have I never noticed this before?" I mutter.
He suddenly stops in his tracks.
  Shoot, did he hear me?
I quickly disappear behind a tall tree, my heart hammering hard. Fuck, I can't afford being caught. I stick my head out a little to see if he's still standing, but he's continued his journey.
"Fuck my bad luck," I hiss, attempting to come out of my  hiding, but as I've said before, fate is against me because I step so loudly on a sleepy branch, and it fucking snaps— not some humble little kinda snap. No, no, the type that notifies the enemy seven miles away that you're following them.
How can a damn wood be so loud?
I stand there frozen to my spot, hoping he doesn't walk back.
   Silence.
For the next, torturous five minutes, no one moves.
I hear footsteps hurrying into the distance, signaling he's begun moving again. Excellent.
I finally come out of hiding, but Raze has already disappeared.
"What the heck? How did he disappear like that?" I hurry forward hoping I will see him again, but I don't. Even after walking on for about half a mile, I don't see him, not even a silhouette, not even his damned shadow.
I stamp my left foot in pure frustration. My throat throbs with suppressed rage, which threatens to spill out as angry tears.
"I guess I'll have to follow him another day," I groan in defeat, turning around to go back.
New problem, where is the way back?
I lick my lips, trying to remember which way I came. In my determination to find Raze, I hadn't taken note of any landmarks.
I stand akimbo, feeling another new sense of dread wash over me. Oh goodness, what do I do?
I take a path I think I might have taken when coming here. Each step forward proves my thought wrong. This place looks so unfamiliar. It doesn't even seem like I'm getting closer to my house.
At this point, my heart is threatening to leave my body. Goosebumps crawl along my skin, chills drag along my spine, and my heart is pounding harder with each passing minute.
Okay, I think I have to inform Auren that I'm lost. I bury my hands into my pocket to reach my phone, but I feel nothing.
    I left it at home!
As I'm thinking of what to do next, heavy footsteps fill my ears, and I pause. A large hand pats my shoulder, and all my blood runs cold.
