Quetzalcoatl
Cameron listened to Jorgenson's story as he recounted it to Sir Rolland and he couldn't feel more sorry. It is true that beneath a fine face, rich man, lies deep ocean of pain. "It wasn't his fault ---" Sir Rolland tried to defend his son. He, of course, knew the story right from when it started.
"Repeat that one more time and watch me slice your toes into pieces." Jorgenson gritted his teeth, angrily pointing a gun towards him. "Not his fault? Whose fault was it?" He threw the question one after the other. "Mine? Or my mother's." Remembering such occurrence was threatening the mental state of Jorgenson.
"Was it my mother's fault that she married a gangster like him? All she wanted to do was correct him with love. To make him stop all his bad ways." Jorgenson's lips trembled as he spoke. "Every night, his face is always seen in the television news as a wanted man. We couldn't walk in streets with peace of mind. Polices were everywhere, looking for the bastard."
Jorgenson swallowed. He hated that he was showing his pain in the presence of his boys but who cares? "But what did he do? He hit her till she started gasping for air. Do you want to know if he helped her?" Jorgenson faced Taylor, asking him as his inside burned with rage.
"He didn't. Instead, he kept hitting her till she couldn't handle it. She dropped dead right in front of him and all that bastard could do was smoke from his tobacco pipe!" Jorgenson punched one of the chairs, his veiny hands shaking in anger.
Cameron ruffled his hair. He had also lost his mother so he understood the kind of pain Jorgenson was feeling, the kind of anger surging through his veins. "He was already apprehended and would likely pay for his crimes. Why did you kill him?" Sir Rolland's voice was barely heard. Maybe he was feeling bad or he was just pained Jorgenson had to go through such.
Jorgenson chuckled, wiping his shades with the hem of his suit. "He deserved it. The only one that loved me, my mother was killed by him. So it's only right he dies too. Death for death!" Jorgenson's eyes glinted wickedly as he yelled those words out.
Suddenly, the plane shook. It shook again, aggressively. "What's wrong with the plane?" Jorgenson shot angrily, he was distracted and he hated it. "I--I have no idea boss." Luke answered shakily. The plane shook again, this time, almost turning upside down. "What the fuck is that?" Taylor exclaimed, looking through the window of the plane.
Loud screeches. Large wings clapped against the plane board, shaking it terribly. "A Quetzalcoatl." Cameron muttered, catching a glimpse of the creature. The body of the serpent hit the plane and it tumbled. "What the -- what did you call it?" Jorgenson asked shockingly.
"A Quetzalcoatl. A serpent deity. It swallows its prey alive." Cameron explained as they bent when the plane got hit again. "I haven't heard of a Quetzalcoatl having large wings. Either ways, we have to get out of here, right now!" Cameron hardly finished his words when the plane got hit again.
Luke took control of the steering, joining hands with Sir Rolland's pilot. In a second, the creature hit his snake tongue on the glass, the front of the plane. "Woah--" Luke exclaimed, feeling his balls shrink when he saw the ugly large head of the creature.
The animal flew away and they breath out in relief. "It'll be back, with force." Cameron muttered, shaking his head. Almost immediately, the creature hit the glass, breaking it totally and picking Sir Rolland's pilot at once. "What the fuck--" Eyes went wide as they watched the creature flip the pilot twice in its mouth, swallowing a whole human at a go.
"I say it again. We have to get out of here, right now!" Cameron shouted, closing the door of the pilot seats. "Let me out!" Jorgenson's pants tightened as he listened to the cries of Luke, one of his trusted boys. "I'm sorry but that's a sacrifice to keep the creature busy if the others want to remain alive." Cameron demonstrated with his hands.
The others were already afraid, especially Sir Rolland who was earlier shot in the leg. "How many parachutes are on this plane?" Cameron asked, searching the drawers he could see. "There is only four parachutes." One of Sir Rolland's bodyguards replied, pointing to them one by one.
Luke on the other hand, was struggling with the plane. He constantly pulled up, dive and rotate the plane just to avoid the creature having the chance of landing on the plane or flipping him into its mouth - God, that'd be horrible.
"How many are we?" Cameron asked, his eyes roaming around, monitoring the Quetzalcoatl's movement. "We are six in a total, including Sir Rolland." Taylor was the one who counted. "We are five now -" Jorgenson shot Sir Rolland in the chest at once without hesitating.
One of his remaining bodyguards felt like retaliating. "Think carefully, do you want to go with him or with us?" Jorgenson pointed his gun on his forehead, giving him a minute to think. "I'll gladly join you." The bodyguard formed the words from his turmoil mind. It was better to escape with them right?
Cameron's ears perked up unnoticeably, tracing the flapping of the Quetzalcoatl's wings, to know the exact time. "What about Luke?" The plane started tumbling, rolling in the air which indicated there was nobody controlling the wheel any longer.
"And Code?" Taylor asked, already feeling sad for losing Luke. They can't lose Code too even though his leg is already wounded. "You guys should hurry and leave. I will be the sacrifice that'll make you all escape in one piece." Code whimpered, the pain shooting right up his leg.
Cameron widened his legs a little, "It's here!" He shouted and everyone switched on their parachutes, escaping into the air. Cameron pulled Code and dived into the clouds. "Ahh!" Taylor breath out in relief. Not up to another minute, two other Quetzalcoatl appeared and they perked every parachute they could see.
Now, the parachute couldn't hold up in the air, started to go down. "Arghhh---" Each and everyone of them screamed into the air, expecting the worse. Cameron and Code landed roughly, tumbling on the rocky ground. They walked into a cave that was just right in their front. "How did you do that?" Code marveled as Cameron assisted him to walk.
"Do what?" Cameron feigned ignorance as he assisted Code inside. The cave wasn't dark which was suspicious. As they proceeded deeper into the cave, it started getting dark. "I'm having a bad feeling about this cave." Cameron's senses were heightened.
Code couldn't see anything except still waters that was just inches ahead of them, he only tried to endure the pain coursing through his wounded leg. In a blink, there was a loud rumble from inside the water. "Run!" Cameron shouted, throwing Code's hands back on his shoulders.
A turtle dinosaur, a swimming creature. "Where are all these animals coming from?" Code screamed out, trying hard to lift his wounded leg inside the water. "I have no idea but it seems this area is their territory." Cameron answered.
Well, they just realized they made a mistake. They were supposed to run back, towards the way where they came into the cave but instead, they ran across in the water. The dinosaur swam very fast, its head pushed Code and he landed few meters on sandy ground.
Blood gushed out of Code's already wounded leg and now, his right wrist looks like it would break off soon. "There's no other choice." Cameron muttered, glancing at Code who screamed in pain. "We'll die if I don't do this." He took the form of a full vampire, for the second time ever since he found out he was a vampire.
Claws and fangs elongated. His face grew out stretchy and veiny black marks. By the time he looked up, his eyes were reddish. The only instincts in him was to kill. The dinosaur seeing there was another predator standing tall in front of him, he launched an attack.
Cameron's head got filled up with different thoughts; kicks or fist cannot make the animal weak. He has to deal with it that it'll come to its death itself. In a second, he leaped very high and climbed the animal's back.
The dinosaur got angry, moving frontwards and backwards, trying to shake off Cameron from its back. Code watched in awe as Cameron digged his claws into the back of the turtle. It wasn't easy because of the dinosaur's skin but it still gave a deep cut.
Next, Cameron tried to stand on the dinosaur but with its rotating motion, he almost fell. "Code, I need a weapon!" Code snapped back to reality as he searched everywhere with his eyes. "There. Under the ground." Cameron pointed.
It was a little bit far from where Code was lying in pain. It'll need a whole lot of strength for him to get the weapon and without that, they might not be able to step out of the cave alive.
