Chapter 18 Talking to the Cops
“Ok, what are all of you doing down here at this late night?” Asked Pete.

“Well, Pete let me explain it to you and then I will let the rest fill in what I don’t know and Haven and I what to file a report on being kidnapped and held here against are well. Haven will need to go first this time since they took her first then me.” Kenzie told Pete.

“Ok, Haven let’s hear what you have to say about all this and about who kidnapped you and why am I hearing about it now?”

“Ok, Pete just let me get it all out before you yell and get your blood pleasure up so you can bust a gasket. I left Kenzie’s house last Thursday, and I was on my way home when I stopped to get something to eat. When I got back into my car, they hit me in the head and I woke up in the old's basement pop factory. Then a few days later they brought Kenzie into the old pop factory kicking and screaming.  Then the rest of the gang showed up a few more days later and busted out tonight where you found us. The guys that kidnapped me call themselves the Hunters and the leader’s name is Sid. That is about all I know and my head is still hurting.”

“Peter I will explain things I can explain that you may not have already figured out. I have to remind you we told you about Haven’s kidnapping and things like that. The same people that took Haven took me and messed up my office. They are also the ones who have been leaving notes and prank calls on me throughout the night. The Hunters think there are supernatural creators in the world. They also think we are part of it somehow. After we called you about the café and then found Haven gone, I found notes at Haven’s house and at mine. Then a few days later they came here got in my bedroom and took me out of my house out my window and tried to hurt Adam while he tried to save me. I agree that they should have told you but they weren’t sure if these nuts would try anything right away or not. Good thing they didn’t it gave them time to find me and come up with a plan to save Haven and me and call you guys.”

“I know that one said he would keep coming after me and that he would try to force me to marry him. I really don’t know what to do Pete. These guys seem really off their rocker or something. But that is everything I know and I need to get Haven home or to my house at least to help take care of her for a while.”

“Well, I think we need to figure out what they are really after them and if they are after you Kenzie and your friends then we should keep a watch on all of you. You all need to stay close to each other so everyone stays safe for until we know what is going on. It should only take a little while and I will do some checking on this Sid person and this group called the Hunters. See if we can come up with something or not. I think it will be best if you try to keep everything as normal as possible and we will keep a close eye on all of you that way.” Pete said.

“We will all keep in touch with you Pete and we will all just keep to our normal routine. If you think it will be safer for us to do that, then Pete we do that anything to help you guys out to find out what these guys are truly after. Well, we will head out now Pete we will be in touch with you later to see what you have found out and if we can help any further.”

“Kenzie you and the rest be carefully and stay out of trouble,” Pete said as we left him.

We all went back to my house to have coffee and talk about everything that has happened over the last few weeks and what we think we should do next before anything else happens to any of us. No one knew where to start and how to go about coming up with any ideas to keep us all safe at the same time. We were all at a loss for a plan and for words and that was a first for a lot of us.

“Well, what should we do first?”

“Do first in what?” asked Adam

“I know this is hard to believe but I am feeling like we all should do something more than what we have been doing and I am just not sure what that is yet. I got this feeling that after talked to Pete that we were still being watched and I also got this feeling inside me I know what Sid is after and no one here will like it.”

“Okay, Kenzie I will bite.” Said, Sam

“What are you talking about?”

“Well, I didn’t want to tell you yet, but it looks like I have no choice anymore. Before they locked me up with Haven, they made me drink a potion or something. Ever since they did that I have been feeling different and I am not sure what to do about it. I am scared that I am who and what they are truly after and that Haven plus the rest of you are a bonus to them.”

“We need to figure out what they gave you. I will not lose you and I will keep you safe.”

Adam said as he kissed Kenzie.
