Chapter 92 - Find A Witch
“What is going on?” Dan yelled. This time, he could see the cracked ceiling and the dark smoke that had shrouded the room, casting the veil of darkness upon it.
Even in the darkness, he could still see but Mary couldn’t. He sprang up to his feet and grabbed her faster, fleeing the room with her.
She leans on the wall of the hallway, panting heavily to catch her breath. “What’s happening to me?” she barely said.
“I think I have an idea,” Dan said. “Your powers are way too much and you have to master them or it will overwhelm you.”
“What are you talking about?” She gaped at him, feeling lost.
“Don’t worry. I know a witch who could help you master your powers.” Dan assured. “I don’t want to see you get hurt.”

The old mansion.
“How did this happen?” Mrs. Willie widened her gaze toward Dean.
Something isn’t right with him. He looks like shit, sweating profusely.
“You… should… tell… me…” Dean spoke very slowly.
He’s having a wild fever. Vampires don’t fall sick. But this only means one thing.
“Were you bitten by a werewolf?” she asked. Curiosity crossed her face. She’s desperate for answers.
“No, I was… not…” he barely squeezes out. He’s weak as if he had garlic and the spirit’s herb inside his system—the only element that could easily weaken a vampire, besides werewolf bite or werewolf venom. “Aren’t you supposed to ward your mansion from intrusion?”
“I don’t get visitors often, so I no longer ward my place.”
In the past, she would ward her place with ancient magic to keep invited supernatural entities away.
“The enemy has done this,” Dean blabbered.
As they were still trying to figure out what happened and how it happened, the door creaked. Mrs. Willie swirled with haste, casting her eyes on the door.
“Oh, no!” she cried out on seeing Jasmine, shambling toward her.
Before she could get any response from her, she slumps into her arms.
“How… did… this… happen… to us?” Jasmine queried in her dying breath. “Did… you… poison us… with werewolf… venom?” She queried further.
“How could I?” Mrs. Willie spoke up with haste. “Your family has been my friends for a long time for me to do such a thing.”
She helped Jasmine to the bed and laid her next to Dean. Before leaving them, she vowed to find out how this happened and to bring the perpetrators down to their knees.

Dan's mansion.
As Dan and Mary made their way to the black jeep parked close to the fountain, Samuel called out to him, running toward him as fast as he could.
He snorted out and placed his hand on the bonnet of the jeep to catch his breath. “It’s done,” he said.”
His mission to inject Dean and Jasmine with wolf venom was successful. However, it wasn’t as instructed. He feared for his life in the hands of the Dracula’s descendant and that of his pack. So he did it his way by poisoning the water supply in Mrs. Willie’s mansion. Coming face to face with Dean or Jasmine will bring an instant death sentence to him and his pack members. He has vowed that no werewolf bloodline will die in the hands of vampires ever again. As the leader of the bloodline, following Dan’s order, he’s willing to do all he can to keep that oath.
“Good,” Dan smirked. “We have somewhere to be. Make sure to keep our brothers in line.” He led Mary across the jeep and opened the door for her to climb in. When she had entered, he slowly shut the door and ran back to the driver’s side.

Billy Hotel, Chicago.
“Phew… we did it big sis,” Matt said as his cheeks flushed with excitement. “We did it.”
“Yes, Matt,” she said, her face lighting up with a fancy smile. “We did it. Thanks to you.”
Scott unfolded his arms across his chest and approached to look at the map on the table. The place where his blood had circled is where Mary is. For the spell, he offered his blood since he could heal faster than anyone in the room.
“Is that where she is?” he points to his blood. He looks curious and desperate to find his daughter.
“Yes, sweetie,” Evelyn said. “That’s where she is. 401 St. John’s Street.”
He thrust his hand into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He quickly opened the GPS on his cell phone typed in the address and then clicked on navigation to get directions.
“Let’s go find our daughter,” a soft smile lighting up his face.

401 St. John's Street.
Dan opened the glass door and held it for Mary to step in. He followed right after her. It was a magic shop. Voodoo dolls were hung all over the place and they had to bend their head each time they took a step.
The shop is saturated with the smell of Voodoo incense missed with some native Indian herbs.
“Hello…”
“Somebody home?”
“Kate, come on get your ass out here!”
Dan continued the call but no one answered. The place looks like no one was home but he’s certain she is.
Followed a whoosh Mary heard, she flicked around. At the corner of the shop stood a pale-looking black lady, staring at her with a mean look. Her dyed gold hair tumbled over her shoulder.
“Is that Kate?” Mary whispered to Dan, drawing his attention to the woman who had continued to stare at her.
Dan chuckled on seeing Kate staring. “That’s Kate,” he said. “Kate Charles—a grand witch from the Rah coven.”
Kate’s mean stare was suddenly replaced with a smile as she moved out from the shadows to her old-time buddy, Dan Dracula.
