27. Monster
CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
Dominic's POV
It had been ten minutes since I threw Reed out of my house. I could feel her questioning glances digging in my back and I almost imagined that she cared but I was quick to remind myself.
She is carrying another man's baby.
And she is in love with your brother.
I grasped the table for support, to avoid lurching out. I was angry; so damn angry and I could easily smash something and maybe even her head if I got provoked but I knew my feelings for her were too strong.
"Dominic-" she started but I cut her off.
"Don't," I stopped her with my hand.
I picked up my briefcase, stomping upstairs to my room, the anger in me worsening. I needed to let it off. After literally throwing my clothes off me, I let the water cascade down my body, its effect doing nothing to ease my anger.
"Oh, I’m sorry, did that hurt older brother? How can your wife choose me over you? But how can she not? Nobody loves you and nobody will ever love you. Haven't you gotten that in your head yet?"
I gripped my hair in frustration, closing my eyes willing the pain of those words to melt off my chest.
My wife chose Reed over me.
I chuckled sarcastically to myself. How could I be this reckless to fall for someone like her? I should never have let my primal side take over my sane one. Now I have to pay for that stupid mistake for the rest of my life...the rest of my fucking life.
Nobody loves me and nobody ever will.
Maybe Reed was right. I was unlovable. Nobody could ever love me. Because deep down I was a broken mess. There was no amending for me even if I tried. The nightmares may have stopped after she entered my life but loving her itself and not getting that love back was the worst version of a nightmare. I hit the bathroom wall in frustration. Just how fucked up was I to think I could easily blend in this stupid world? Finally out of the shower, I stared at my reflection in the mirror.
I could hardly recognize the tired, angry figure looking right back at me. I pulled at my hair once again noticing just how bags rent over my eyes and my entire form was hardly recognizable before my own eyes. And this was all because of one woman.
This is all your fault Nicole. You fucking got me hooked to your every move and now I can't stop, though deep down I know I should. I fucking hate you, Nicole, for being such an addiction. You have ruined my entire life without as little as lifting a finger.
Mentally venting my rage, I hit the mirror and seeing the blood flowing out of my knuckles made feel a little relieved. The physical pain of the glass cuts made me feel happy and without an effort, a light chuckle left my lips.
"Oh my God! What happened here? “Nicole breathed, her eyes scanning the glass pieces shattered on the marble floor.
I chuckled once more, walking towards her. Her gaze darted towards mine as she gulped, visibly terrified while stepping back inside the bedroom. I grabbed her, pushing that lithe body against the bedroom wall. The widened eyes full of fear didn't stop me as I leaned into her, inhaling that fucking addictive scent.
"There was a time I cared so much about what you thought of me but that phase is over now Nicole. You think I’m a monster? Well, you are right and this monster is about to show how he works,"
I captured her lips, roughly pushing her body with mine. I could feel her fragile hands fighting me off but I wasn't going to deter. She was fucking mine for tonight. I don't care if she was carrying some bastard's baby or that she was in love with my brother. I wanted her tonight and I was going to have her. She thought I was a monster, right? Well, tonight she was about to receive verification.
"Dominic stop, “she whimpered, tears falling off her cute cheeks, the moment I drew back to get rid of her dress or more like tear it off her.
"Why? Because you hate me but love my brother? Or because you are carrying someone else’s baby?" I grunted unzipping the dress.
"What?" she asked, a clear look of surprise crossing her face.
"Wait, you thought I'd never find out?" I laughed bitterly.
"Dominic what are-" I cut her off.
"Either way I’m not going to stop. And you are mine before anyone's," I growled pulling the dress off her.
