Chapter 62 You Deserve to Die!

Chapter 62 You Deserve to Die!

Caroline leaned against James, barely conscious.

Hearing James's voice, she slowly opened her eyes and said weakly,

"James, I'm fine, don't worry."

James felt a warmth in his heart and sped up his swimming. Soon they reached the shore.

Iron Wolf quickly had people come forward to help Caroline and James up, handing them towels and hot water.

James immediately checked Caroline's injuries.

Seeing the swelling on her face and the wounds on her neck, the rage in his heart flared up again.

He looked up at Daryl, who had been rescued to shore by others. His eyes were completely cold, his tone icy enough to make people shiver.

"Bring him here."

Several Specter Syndicate members immediately stepped forward, dragged Daryl from the ground, and threw him in front of James.

Daryl was soaking wet, his face deathly pale, trembling all over, without even the courage to look up at James.

"Mr. Anderson, I was wrong, I was really wrong. Please spare me, I'll never do it again. I'll never hurt Ms. Collins again!"

Daryl kept kowtowing, begging desperately, tears and snot mixed together, looking utterly pathetic.

James looked at him coldly, his tone completely flat.

"Spare you? When you hurt Caroline, why didn't you think about this day? When you sold her to human traffickers, why didn't you think about this day?"

He paused, his eyes growing even colder.

"Iron Wolf, cripple his limbs, then send him to Gilbert."

"Yes, Mr. Anderson!"

Iron Wolf nodded and waved at two of his men beside him.

The two men immediately stepped forward, held Daryl down, and pulled out a sharp cleaver.

James bent down and scooped up Caroline, who was soaking wet and pale, carrying her in his arms.

She leaned softly against him, water droplets still hanging from her eyelashes, her breathing so weak it was barely noticeable.

James's heart felt like it was being squeezed by a hand, the pain making even breathing difficult. Without stopping, he strode toward the black Bentley at the front.

"Full speed to the hospital. Have all the best doctors on standby."

James's voice was cold as ice, each word carrying bone-chilling coldness.

The Specter Syndicate members nearby all shivered and didn't dare delay for a moment.

They immediately responded and rushed to get the car.

The car door was quickly opened. James carefully placed Caroline in the back seat and got in right after her.

He reached out to hold her in his arms, using his body heat to warm her ice-cold body.

His large palm gently covered her cheek—it felt hot and swollen to the touch.

Daryl! The murderous intent in James's eyes was about to overflow.

At the dock, Iron Wolf watched James's convoy disappear from view.

He immediately turned to look at Dorian, Tom, and the group of human traffickers being held down on the ground, his expression frighteningly grim.

"Tie them all up, don't let a single one escape! Also, search them thoroughly. Confiscate all their cash, bank cards, and communication devices. And that smuggling boat—seize it directly."

Iron Wolf ordered sternly. The Specter Syndicate members around him immediately sprang into action, their movements quick and efficient.

In just a few minutes, Dorian and the others were tied up tightly, mouths stuffed with cloth, only able to make muffled groans.

The five hundred thousand dollars Tom brought was completely confiscated, along with all the traffickers' tools, packed up and taken away.

By this time, Daryl had been held down by two members and his limbs crippled.

He passed out from the pain and woke up again from the pain, his face completely drained of color, lying on the ground like a puddle of mud.

Iron Wolf glanced at him with disgust, kicked his body with his foot, and said coldly,

"Pick him up and send him to Gilbert. Let him see what stupid things his son has done."

Hearing this, two members immediately stepped forward and dragged Daryl like a dead dog toward the Collins Villa.

James's convoy raced all the way and arrived at Silvermoon City's top private hospital in just over ten minutes.

The hospital director had already received word and was waiting at the entrance with top experts from all departments.

Seeing the convoy arrive, he immediately went forward.

"Mr. Anderson, the emergency room is ready. All equipment has been tested. We'll examine Ms. Collins right away."

The director bowed, his tone extremely respectful. He knew in his heart—

James was a ruthless character who could casually destroy even The Four Families.

If anything happened to Caroline, the entire hospital wouldn't survive.

James carried Caroline and walked hurriedly into the hospital, not glancing at the director once.

All his attention was on the person in his arms.

"Start treatment immediately. I want her completely unharmed."

"Yes, yes, yes, we'll do our absolute best."

A group of doctors crowded around and pushed Caroline into the emergency room.

The moment the red light came on, the pressure around James dropped to its lowest.

He leaned against the wall by the emergency room door, hands in his pockets, his eyes coldly sweeping over everyone in the hospital.

The entire hospital instantly entered the highest alert status. All medical staff busied themselves carefully,

not daring to make any extra noise, afraid that one wrong move would anger this grim reaper.

The news quickly spread throughout Silvermoon City's underground circles.

The Reaper's fiancée had been kidnapped and nearly sold to human traffickers. The Reaper was furious and directly destroyed Daryl's group.

All the forces that had any connection with the Collins family or human traffickers were scared out of their wits,

rushing to investigate themselves and destroy all evidence, terrified of being targeted by James and ending up like the Harris family and the Turner family.

The emergency room light stayed on for three full hours. James stood guard at the door without moving an inch.

During those three hours, he didn't drink a drop of water, his eyes constantly fixed on the emergency room door.

The murderous aura around him made the temperature in the entire corridor drop several degrees.

The director and a group of doctors stood not far away, not daring to breathe heavily, silently praying that Caroline would be okay, otherwise they would all suffer the consequences.

Finally, the emergency room light went out. The attending doctor pushed open the door and walked out, removing his mask with a sigh of relief.

James immediately stepped forward, grabbed the doctor's collar, his eyes bloodshot.

"How is she?"

The doctor was scared and trembling all over, quickly saying,

"Mr. Anderson, rest assured, Ms. Collins is out of danger! She just has some external injuries, plus choking on water caused a mild lung infection, and she's been frightened. She'll be fine after a few days of rest. There's no danger to her life."

Hearing this, James's tense nerves finally relaxed. He released the doctor's collar and turned to walk into the hospital room.

Caroline lay on the hospital bed, her face still somewhat pale, the swelling on her cheeks hadn't gone down, the wound at the corner of her mouth covered with gauze, looking particularly heartbreaking.
