"Brought it on ourselves?"
Gilbert let out a cold laugh.
"If you hadn't teamed up with James to go after us, the Collins family, how would we have ended up like this? Caroline, don't forget."
"You're part of the Collins family too. You hold shares in the Collins Group, yet you help outsiders. How can you face the Collins family?"
"The Collins family?"
Caroline scoffed, her eyes full of disappointment.
"In your eyes, there's only the Collins family's reputation and interests. I've never mattered to you. And now you're turning around to blame me. Do you think that's fair?"
Gilbert was left speechless, his face darkening.
"Either way, I'm not letting this go."
Gilbert gritted his teeth, his tone sarcastic.
"The Collins Group was founded by us, the Collins family. It can't just fall into your hands like this."
"I'll find a way to take back everything that belongs to us, to take back the company's shares!"
Caroline looked at him, without a trace of fear in her eyes.
"Do whatever you want, if you're capable enough, go ahead and try.
But I'm warning you, stop scheming against me, and stop provoking James. Otherwise, you'll face the consequences."
Gilbert snorted and turned to leave, already forming a plan in his mind.
He knew that with just him and Daryl, they were no match for James and Caroline. To take back the shares, they needed to find a backer, someone powerful enough to suppress James.
Back in his office, Gilbert immediately called Daryl and told him to come over.
Daryl arrived quickly, still wearing an angry expression.
"Dad, you wanted to see me?"
Daryl asked, his tone full of impatience.
"Daryl, I have an idea that could help us take back the company's shares and get revenge on James and Caroline."
Gilbert's tone was full of excitement, a gleam flashing in his eyes.
Daryl's eyes lit up, and he quickly asked.
"Dad, what idea? Tell me! As long as we can get revenge, I'll do whatever it takes!"
Gilbert lowered his voice and said.
"I just got word that Summit Holdings Corporation from Pinecrest City is opening a branch in Silvermoon City."
"Do you know how powerful Summit Holdings Corporation is? It's one of the top conglomerates in Pinecrest City, with strong resources and connections. I heard they even have high-level officials backing them. Even James wouldn't dare mess with them easily."
Daryl paused, then asked,
"Summit Holdings Corporation? I've heard of them, they're really powerful. But what does this have to do with us?"
"Of course it has to do with us."
Gilbert smiled, his tone full of calculation.
"When Summit Holdings Corporation opens a branch in Silvermoon City, they'll definitely need partners and will be bidding on projects.
"If we can partner with Summit Holdings Corporation and become their collaborators, get those bidding projects, we can regain our footing in the company and take back our say in things."
"Then, with Summit Holdings Corporation backing us, James won't dare mess with us easily. We can take the opportunity to reclaim the company's shares and get our revenge!"
Daryl got excited instantly, his eyes full of anticipation.
"Really? Dad, that's a great plan! If we can partner with Summit Holdings Corporation, we can get our revenge and crush Caroline and James!"
"Exactly."
Gilbert nodded.
"But Summit Holdings Corporation is powerful. Partnering with them won't be easy.
We need to find a way to connect with Summit Holdings Corporation to get the chance to work with them."
Daryl frowned and said.
"But how can we connect with Summit Holdings Corporation? They're so powerful, we can't even reach their executives."
Gilbert smiled,
"Let's tell your grandfather about this first and have him think of a way too."
Daryl nodded.
"Okay, let's go see Grandpa right now and tell him about this."
The two immediately got up and headed to the Collins Villa.
At the Collins Villa, Landon was sitting in the living room, his face gloomy, still angry about being humiliated by James yesterday.
Seeing Gilbert and Daryl come in, Landon frowned, his tone cold.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be working at the company instead of coming here?"
Gilbert quickly walked forward, his face full of smiles.
"Dad, we have something important to tell you. This could help the Collins family get out of our current situation and get revenge on James and Caroline."
Landon paused, then asked.
"What is it? Hurry up and tell me, don't keep me in suspense."
Gilbert told Landon all about Summit Holdings Corporation coming to Silvermoon City to open a branch, and also explained his plan in detail.
After listening, Landon's eyes lit up instantly, the gloom on his face disappeared, and his tone was full of excitement.
"Really? Summit Holdings Corporation is opening a branch in Silvermoon City?"
Daryl quickly chimed in.
"Yes, Grandpa, this is our only chance. We have to seize this opportunity and not let it slip away!"
Landon thought for a moment, then nodded, his tone firm.

"Dad, you forgot—I have a niece named Janice Young, and she's dating the son of Summit Holdings Corporation's chairman!"

Landon burst out laughing, his tone full of excitement.
"Good! Good! Good! Bronte, you've done us a great service! If we can connect with Brian, we can partner with Summit Holdings Corporation, get our revenge, and take back everything that belongs to the Collins family!"
