Chapter 52 Summit Holdings Corporation
Gilbert and Daryl got excited too, and Daryl quickly said,
"Then you should hurry up and ask Janice and Brian out for dinner so we can talk to them properly and have them help connect us."
Bronte nodded, her face full of pride.
"Don't worry, I'll call Janice right now and invite them to dinner at The Collins Villa tomorrow night. Then we can really butter up Brian and get him to help us."
Actually, Bronte had her own agenda.
She knew that ever since Caroline got together with James, she and Doyle's status in the Collins family had been declining, and Landon was becoming increasingly dismissive of them.
If she could help the Collins family connect with Summit Holdings Corporation, she and Doyle could regain Landon's trust, improve their standing in the Collins family, and no longer have to watch Landon's moods.
Landon looked at Bronte with satisfaction.
"Good, Bronte, I'm leaving this to you. You must get Janice and Brian to come - no mistakes."
"Don't worry, Dad, I'll get it done."
Bronte said quickly, full of confidence.
She knew this was her only chance to restore her position in the Collins family, and she had to seize it.
With that, Bronte pulled out her phone and dialed Janice's number.
The call connected quickly, and Janice's sweet voice came through.
"Aunt Bronte, why are you calling me?"
Bronte's face was all smiles, her tone flattering.
"Janice dear, I miss you. I want to invite you and your boyfriend to dinner at The Collins Villa tomorrow night. What do you say?"
Janice paused, then said,
"Aunt Bronte, I have plans tomorrow night, I'm afraid I don't have time. Plus, Brian is usually very busy and might not be free."
Bronte quickly said,
"Janice, I really miss you. It's just one dinner, it won't take much of your time."
"Besides, we have something we'd like Brian's help with. It's very important to the Collins family. Please help us out and bring Brian along, okay?"
Janice was silent for a moment, thinking that although the Collins family people were usually snobbish, they were relatives after all.
And since they were asking Brian for help, maybe Brian could show off in front of them, giving her something to brag about too.
So she nodded.
"Alright, Aunt Bronte, I'll ask Brian. If he's free, we'll come over."
"Great, great, Janice, thank you! Please talk to Brian properly and make sure he comes."
Bronte said quickly, her tone full of flattery.
After hanging up, Bronte nodded to Landon and the others.
"Dad, I've arranged it. Janice said she'll ask Brian tomorrow night, and if he's free, they'll come over."
Landon nodded with satisfaction.
"Good, good, well done, Bronte.
Tomorrow night, we must prepare well and really butter up Brian so he'll help connect us. We must succeed in partnering with Summit Holdings Corporation."
"Don't worry, Dad, we'll prepare everything properly."
Gilbert said quickly, his eyes full of anticipation.
He couldn't wait to meet Brian, to connect with Summit Holdings Corporation, to get his revenge, and to take back everything that belonged to him.
The next evening, The Collins Villa was decorated with lights and filled with fine wine and food.
Landon's family all waited at the entrance early, their faces full of anticipation and flattery, waiting for Janice and Brian to arrive.
Before long, a luxury Mercedes stopped in front of The Collins Villa.
The car door opened, and a girl in a haute couture dress with exquisite makeup stepped out - it was Janice.
She wore a designer dress, high heels, with an arrogant air and eyes full of disdain.
She didn't even glance at The Collins Villa, as if it were some filthy place.
Following her, a man in designer clothes and impeccably dressed stepped out - it was Brian.
He wore designer brands, his hair perfectly styled, with a faint smile on his face. He looked refined and cultured, but his eyes were full of arrogance.
Bronte quickly rushed forward, her face plastered with an ingratiating smile.
"Janice, Brian, you're finally here! Please come in, come in! We've prepared fine wine and food especially for you, just waiting for you."
Janice glanced at Bronte, her tone cold and somewhat disdainful.
"Aunt Bronte, we're just here for a meal, no need to be so formal.
Also, don't call me Janice anymore. Call me Ms. Young."
Bronte's smile froze for a moment, then returned to its flattering state.
"Alright, alright, Ms. Young, Mr. Moore, please come in."
Landon also came forward quickly with his cane, bowing repeatedly to Brian.
"Mr. Moore, welcome, welcome! Welcome to the Collins family. Please sit, please sit."
Brian glanced at Landon indifferently, said nothing, just nodded slightly, and walked straight into the living room. Janice followed closely, looking haughty, as if the Collins family people weren't worthy of talking to her.
Gilbert and Daryl also hurried after them, faces full of flattering smiles, bustling about pouring tea and offering fruit to Brian and Janice.
After everyone sat down, Landon spoke first, his tone full of flattery.
"Mr. Moore, I've heard so much about you. I've long heard you're the son of Summit Holdings Corporation's chairman. Seeing you today, you truly are handsome and extraordinary."
Brian smiled, his tone tinged with arrogance.
"You're too kind. I'm just an ordinary person."
Janice glanced at Landon, her tone disdainful.
"Landon, stop beating around the bush. Aunt Bronte said you have something to ask my boyfriend. Whatever it is, just say it directly. Don't waste our time."
Landon laughed awkwardly and quickly said,
"Ms. Young is right. It's like this - we heard that Summit Holdings Corporation is opening a branch in Silvermoon City."
"The Collins family would like to partner with Summit Holdings Corporation. We hope Mr. Moore can help connect us so we have a chance to work with Summit Holdings Corporation. We would be eternally grateful."
Hearing this, Brian's face showed a slight smile, his tone confident.
"So that's it. That's a small matter. I have a say in the Silvermoon City branch's bidding project. As long as I speak up, making the Collins family a partner of Summit Holdings Corporation is no problem at all."
Hearing this, everyone instantly got excited, their faces full of delight.
Gilbert quickly said,
"Mr. Moore, thank you so much! As long as you help us, we won't let you down. Whatever you want, we can provide it!"
Daryl chimed in.
"Yes, Mr. Moore, thank you so much! If you ever need anything in the future, we'll do whatever it takes!"
Brian waved his hand, looking indifferent.
"No need to be so formal. Janice is my girlfriend, and you're Janice's relatives. Helping you out is only natural."
