Chapter 25 - Dance - mduno
It was a plea, and my heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest. I was a damn scumbag; they had rubbed it in my face since I was a kid. I had never been afraid of anything, and now I was about to crap my pants—waiting for a woman's response?
She didn't speak; she nodded. Her eyes sparkled, and I lunged to kiss her. I lifted her, and her legs wrapped around my waist. I closed the front door with my foot and carried her to her room without letting go of her lips for a second. I laid her on the bed; I didn't want to touch my dick, I just needed to hold her.
I took off my shirt and pants. She slipped under the covers, and when I imitated her, the bed was warm. I hugged her, and she entwined her feet with mine, just as she had done in the past days since she stayed at the house. I buried my head in the thickness of her delicious hair.
"The apartment is beautiful, anyway."
She commented, and I kissed her hair, smiling, our common enemy.
"It's yours, Veronica," I whispered, feeling my eyes grow heavy.
"I'll go, and I hope you offer it to me again when you're ready, Roland."
"Thank you."
I didn't say anything else; I didn't want to fight again. I'll never get married, Vida. Her arms wrapped around my chest, and as if they had injected me with anesthesia, I lost consciousness. The commotion of some old ladies woke me up. Enrique Iglesias's "Bailando" was playing over and over; it was the same song Veronica danced to when I felt the desperation to go to the club to see who she had gone out with—I sighed.
My feet hung off the bed; it was very small. The old ladies kept laughing, talking loudly, and my Beautiful was trying to keep them in line. The laughter was general; at least they were making an effort for Thursday's meeting.
I got out of bed, took a step, and bumped into the bathroom. "Why is she so stubborn? Her apartment was huge." I grabbed one of her Christmas towels, and as I entered the shower, I saw a change of clothes and a note on the toilet lid.

Turning around, I came across the closet. I opened it; she wasn't messy. You could say she was uncomplicated. Seeing the closet made me smile. I couldn't keep it like that. In the drawers and the hanging section, my new clothes were neatly folded, just like at my house. I laughed. On top of a stack of three white shirts, there was another note.
As you can see, I tried to make a millimeter-accurate replica of your wardrobe style.
Despite my efforts, I couldn't help but laugh out loud. I looked at the brands, and they were the ones I used. I opened the drawer, and my boxers were arranged the same way. I opened the next drawer; it was her clothes, tight and mismatched.
"How do you do it?"
I whispered, closed the closet, and stepped into the shower with a rather uncomfortable feeling in my chest, but not unpleasant, just strange.
"You're getting in deeper."
I finished showering with a goofy smile. It was the first time anyone had bought me clothes; she was very thoughtful. "Even the color, Veronica," I said in front of the mirror. I was already dressed.
Outside the room, there were five women whose faces seemed familiar. They stood with their mouths open. My girlfriend turned to see me, raising one of her eyebrows. Shit! I had slept with all of them. The old ladies looked at each other. Veronica was a bit uncomfortable but maintained her ladylike demeanor, waiting for me to give her her place.
"Good morning."
I went straight to her; there was nothing else to do. I didn't want to lose the right to kiss her again. I kissed her on the mouth. Only she was important.
"Good morning."
She spoke with that sparkle in her eyes that I liked so much. I was saved for today. I smiled at her and kissed her on the forehead.
"The Chef has breakfast ready."
I looked toward the kitchen, in front of the living room. "I will never understand this modern moment of optimizing space and selling matchboxes." Raul waved his hand, and I went to him.
"Good morning, Mr. Roland."
"Just Roland."
I shook his hand, sat on the stool, and he offered me some crepes.
"Thanks. Are you the cook here?"
"No. I enjoy cooking as a hobby, Lorena wouldn't step into the kitchen for anything, and Verónica is busy teaching the dance moves."
"Does she know how to cook?" Why the hell did I ask that?
"Yes, she can do everything, she never hesitates if she has to, though she doesn't spend all her time in the kitchen. She doesn't mind the topic."
"Got it."
"She's adaptable."
I frowned, finished my breakfast, watching my beautiful girlfriend dance and the older women repeating the steps over and over.
"She's an all-terrain woman, Mr...." I looked at him. "Roland, sorry, sir."
"Will they take long?"
I asked, and my phone rang. It was a message from Rata.
"The package arrived, the millions invested hit the mark, just measure it, idiot."
"Okay, I'll be there in an hour."
"I have to go."
I grabbed a green apple from the fruit bowl by the kitchen, took a bite. I approached where my girlfriend was dancing.
"Continue." I took her hand and pulled her aside. "Beautiful, I have to check on an investment."
"Will you be back tonight?"
"Are they undercooked?" She looked at them, nodded, and smiled. "Call me, because if not... I don't think they'll be ready for the party on Thursday." Verónica raised an eyebrow at me.
"Are you going?"
I screwed up, nodded. She looked away, focusing on the women.
"Were you planning to tell me?" I shrugged.
"I don't want to justify myself, but do I need to report everything?" Verónica's look said it all, I swallowed hard.
"You're delaying me, Roland, we'll talk later."
There you go, you messed up again. She turned around and I grabbed her by the waist.
"I don't want another day like yesterday, so tell me. Are you still mad?"
"We'll talk later."
Damn! I took a deep breath, left the apartment after giving her a light kiss on the forehead. As I went down the three steps.
"Roland!" I smiled, turned around, she had her arms crossed.
"Yes?" I crossed my arms too.
"They're going to strip and do a stripper dance."
"So?" she tried to shout at me.
"You'll see boobs, Roland! Like it's been so long since you..."
I couldn't help but laugh. In two strides, I had her pinned against the wall.
"The women waiting for you have family-sized silicone implants, if I remember correctly, I heard a woman say; the best ones were the natural and personal size." She looked down, trying to hold back laughter. "Now I can't disagree with that statement. Because those are the only ones I've touched, kissed, and I don't plan on losing them."
"You'll see them..." she pouted, was she jealous? I kissed her. "We haven't had anything, and you must have..."
"Verónica."
I emphasized her name to signal that she should listen carefully. I took her chin and made her look at me.
"One more time, and engrave it in your memory, miss. You are the only one I've kissed, and even if we separate." The mere thought kicked my ass, not seeing her someday would affect me. "I won't kiss any other woman, take this answer as you will, I don't care, just remember, I only kiss you, I am only yours."
"But..."
"And I won't break the promise I made to my girlfriend." She frowned. "On Friday, I'll kidnap you so we can..." Her eyes sparkled, and her cheeks blushed.
"You don't want to..." I interrupted her.
"Don't say nonsense, Verónica. Because it's not that I don't want to, for the first time in my life, I respect something."
Her eyes filled with tears, she tried to speak but couldn't, so I kissed her, and within seconds, the salty liquid mixed with our saliva.
"Call me so I can come pick you up."
"To go where?" she caressed my scalp.
"To warm my bed, you have no idea how much it bothers me to sleep in a cold bed, and I've had five days of sleeping with it warm, that's very pleasant."
"Thanks," I caressed one of her eyebrows. "I'll be practicing all day."
"At eight?"
She nodded, kissed me, and went back into her apartment. If she knew what kind of party it was, she'd leave me naked.
