Chapter 48

I sobbed as I sorily hugged the young Doctor. When she entered the mansion, she was beaten shut, and her clothes had been torn. Layla had left, and when she returned later that evening, she was covered in bruises and Wounds.

When I placed it on the bed, I tended her wound. According to the staff who brought Layla, no one knew who allegedly beated her up. They claimed to have just seen her pass out inside her office. No CCTV was able to

identify the perpetrator, but I guessed and already knew who it was. Michael was the only demon who wanted to take her away from me by taking her life.

I was sobbing as I looked at the young sister, who was fast asleep. I also changed her clothes and was irritated that I couldn't even seek assistance from high-ranking officials. I wasn't even able to save my sister.

"I'm sorry, Sister, you're in pain. You would not have been touched by this demon named Michael if l hadn't called you that day. Please forgive me. Layla, please forgive me." I hugged her and realized I was sleeping next

to her.

I simply started crying when Layla finally woke up but was unable to move much. She sat up straight and smiled. Her eyes welled up with tears.

"I'm sorry,... It's all my fault," I admitted sadly.

I had already made my decision. I was leaving Layla for good. I woupd promise myself that the next time we would meet, I would be completely smitten. No Michael would ever

share my love. I would force my heart, but in those moments, I had no choice but to choose Layla's life. It wouldn't have mattered if I hadn't fled to her in the first place. I was a moron! Other people have been harmed as a result of my actions.

"Don't say that, sister. It's not your fault."

I cracked a sad smile. "Ill cook to warm your

stomach," I said without waiting for her to

respond, and went straight to the kitchen.

I was taken back when I saw Michael emerge from the other room. He was standing against the wall, holding a gun. His appearance was dark, and his aura was frightening. I closed my eyes and tried to relax. I had already made my decision, and I believed it was correct. I didn't resist when the demon drew me into the other

room.

"l'm exactly what you're looking for, isn't it? I can accompany you now, but please avoid my sister! She has absolutely nothing to do with you. Return everything you took from her. Allow her to be alone. I'll come with you. Please don't hurt her."

Bullshit! I already promised myself the last night that I Would stop crying, but there I was crushed once more by my own weakness.

"Are you attempting to amuse me? You're just a bed warmer for me. You're just my sex slave who escaped and joined normal humans," the monster chuckled. I grasped as he grabbed my waist. That hurted " l can also take you to the island whenever I want. However, because l enjoy the game, I let you run and run. Even if

you come with me, you won't be able to stop me from killing. Because I will still kill the person you love whether you come or not."

God! Why did I come across that demon in human form? Michael turned around and jumped out the window before I could respond.

"Layla" I dashed into the her room and hugged

her tightly. I didn't want to let her go because I

feared I wouldn't see her alive by the time I did.

"Hey, why are you crying?" She asked as she woke up, her face concerned.

"Let's get out of here right now. Take me to your most secret island of all the times, that you always loved to go whenever you were mad at us back at home. He's going to kill you! When that happens, l can't go on with my life. Please, let's get going! You don't have enough employees. Michael had just arrived, and he is determined to kill us!" My entire body almost

trembled as I heard what was said.

Layla was quiet for amoment, and it took her a long time to respond. She stroked my hair and dialed a phone number. "Get the chopper ready. We're heading north now."

I exclaimed with joy. "Oh, thanks God!"

"Please don't cry. He can't murder me. I wilI kill him before he can kill me. He can't stand me. I'm going to kill him!" I gasped at the strange look in Layla's eyes, but then suddenly vanished when she caressed my cheek.

"Not even Michael can bring me down. We'll kill each other, and then l'lIl bury him. So, sister, stay put; everything will be fine. You're the only sister I have. You are mine, and

lam on your side."

I had no idea, but what I heard caused my fear to rise. I did, however, smile for the little sister and hug her. She actually laughed at what I did. But why was my heart pounding when she said she would kill Michael? Wasn't that what

I desired?

"Damn!" Michael exclaimed, holding back his rage. He didn't manage to catch up with the us. We took off. In fact, he enjoyed my game. He was both the bet and the murderer.

He opened the cellphone and looked at the tracking device he had given to me, which he had attached to the pendant on my necklace.

"Shawn," he said, referring to his new worker or so.

"Yeah?" its uninteresting response. Obviously, just waking up from a nap.

"Follow me to the island of Priza. Now!" Then he hung up, having heard its crunchy curse on the other end of the line.

I'm the the killer here so that I can get justice

I deserve. Your soul will be given justice now, mama, and I will put an end to your death.

For a brief moment, he closed his eyes and reflected on his past with the woman he loved so much that made him be in pain..

"I want baby boy twins. What do you think, baby?" he asked as he stroked Vicky one-and-a-half-month-old belly. He couldn't wait any longer.

"Your wish is my command, master," she said softly, pinching his nose.

"But I've changed my mind. Let's go for triplets, baby."

Laughter filled their room as he began to tickle Vicky, leading to a hot romance in bed.

His fist clenched as he remembered the past, and he couldn't wait to kill. There will be a flood of blood now, and he sweared it was the blood of the man he was going to kill.

Wait for me, Anya, because I will also murder the person you only have right now in the same way that they killed the people I loved.

I was surprised when i saw the entire island,

which was beautiful but shrouded in mystery. The fear on my body began to rise.

We were met by a large crowd of armed men as they descended. They bowed slightly to my sister and spoke in a different language so I wouldn't understand.

I was so close to her arm that I experienced a

strange fear. Layla was still not fine, but she could hold her own. Her face was always soft spoken and she appeared to be an angel who came from above, but now her aura had

changed and even the spark of her eyes had changed.

"No, I'm not going to let him. Our father used to let them beat us, but not anymore," she exclaimed angrily to the man with the large tattoo on the other arm. The massive weapon

was attached to the muscular body and borea scar on the side of the cheek.

"Layla." I drew the young lady's attention, "First,

take a break, then let's think about it."

She gave me a nod and stroked my cheek. What she did had an impact on me, and I couldn't help but be moved by it. Layla abruptly altered the motion she displayed to me.

"All right, let's go." She invited me to the large rest stop in front of her.

Armed guards were still stationed around the large rest stop. I is perplexed as to why there were so many armed staffs. And how did Layla become that damn rich. I just assumed it was all part of the preparation for Michael's attack. Hopefully, the demon would stop following me and I will be able to rest.

If only I could defend myself with money, I would have done so. But I knew that if money was the only consideration, I would lose. I was not wealthy in the same way that Michael was, and I lacked sufficient evidence against the man. I could not simply imprison him as I had desired to.

I couldn't sleep that night, and drowsiness didn't come to me no matter how hard I tried. I almost rolled over on the soft bed to sleep, but nothing happened. My heartbeat's strength also seemed to indicate danger, so I couldn't sleep any longer.
