Chapter 223

Chapter 223

A middle-aged man with white hair tied back in a low ponytail, wearing sunglasses and a long cotton-linen robe, stepped out of the car, leaning on a gem-encrusted cane. This man was none other than Silver Sentinel.

After getting out of the car, he cautiously surveyed his surroundings, rhythmically tapping the ground with his cane. Only after completing this ritual did he proceed towards the mansion.

Following closely behind were four burly bodyguards in white suits, standing like sentinels as they escorted Silver Sentinel into the mansion.

Once they were inside, Charles pulled up the hood of his jacket and left the bar.

He took out his phone, scrolled to the bottom of his contacts, and sent a brief message to "Horned Guardian": [104.134456, 33.777546; 41.]

The first part indicated the location, while the latter hinted at the number of people who would die tonight.

Charles followed his pre-planned route, circling the mansion.

He strolled along the streets, buying fast food and drinks from vendors, and casually discarding the trash. This area was bustling, with many small vendors selling a variety of goods. Even though it was nearly midnight, there were still plenty of people around.

Blending into the crowd, Charles discreetly observed the passersby and the vendors with their mobile stalls.

After completing his routine, he had identified all his targets.

Despite their best efforts to remain inconspicuous, no one could escape Charles' keen eyes.

Once he confirmed the number, identities, and activity range of his targets, Charles began his operation.

He walked into a dimly lit alley, his gaze sweeping over the loitering young thugs. This area, teeming with delinquents, was a hallmark of the northern part of Emerald City.

Charles selected a few agile-looking thugs and handed each of them five hundred dollars.

Seeing such a generous amount, the thugs' eyes gleamed with greed, almost ready to kneel in gratitude for his "gift."

"See that kebab vendor over there?" Charles pointed to a stall not far away. "Go rob him. Do it however you want, and once you're done, run and don't come back. The money is yours."

The thugs were momentarily stunned, unable to believe their ears.

For them, this was just another day in their lives.

After all, these thugs usually relied on such methods to fill their stomachs when they were hungry or thirsty. Occasionally, when they were bored, they would bully some timid-looking vendors and passersby.

"Is it really that simple?" One of the thugs asked tentatively.

Charles nodded, "It's that simple, but you need to go one by one, not in a group. If the vendor chases you, run into that alley."

He pointed to a narrow alley.

The thugs nodded in unison and followed Charles' instructions.

However, they were unaware that the seemingly ordinary kebab vendor was actually one of Silver Sentinel's bodyguards, disguised to blend in.

He had taken up a crucial position after Silver Sentinel arrived at the mansion.

Charles targeted him first because his position where had a very good view., able to detect any movement around with just a slight shift.

If this one wasn't dealt with, the subsequent actions would be easily exposed!

As the thugs began their operation, Charles was also making his preparations.

He knew that once the guy was obscured, he had to act swiftly to take out the other bodyguards!

The night grew darker, and the atmosphere around the mansion became increasingly eerie.

Charles' heartbeat quickened. He knew the real show was just about to begin...
