It had been a few days since I had been home, I was spending time with Hope, and Valen was now starting to come to me more, so he was getting used to me. I was trying to get into the groove and find my niche. I knew that to really start to deal with all of this bullshit, I would have to tackle the project that had started it. 

So, I went to the control room to look for Valenciaga or the guys, but there were only a couple of techies doing this or that, and they told me they were at the range. I hadn’t really spent time there. The guys kept telling me they were going to teach me to shoot, but we hadn’t done that yet. 

I walked in and the area was actually divided into several sections. There was the entrance where I was currently standing. Then there were 2 soundproofed rooms. I could see shooting, but the sound was extremely muffled. One sight just about floored me.

I saw Satine, standing tall, braced in a shooting stance, tight jeans encasing her figure, tall knee-high leather boots with a heel. Her hair hangs down her back in a sleek braid. She had noise-cancelling earphones on, and she had a gun in her hands. I saw her shoot, not pausing between. She hit the target, almost dead center, every single time. She put the gun down after ejecting the empty magazine, flipped back her hair, took off her protective wear, then grinned over her shoulder at a stupidly smiling Valenciaga.

He turned and saw me and came to greet me taking off his headphones and goggles. He opened the door and came over to me.

“Good morning La Nena, how are you today?” He was still smiling

I smiled back, “Would it be totally inappropriate for me to tell you I have a total lady boner for your wife?”

He threw his head back and laughed. Several people turned around to observe us, including my guys, who started pulling off protective gear and coming to the lobby area. They all took turns hugging me and watching Valenciaga laugh.

“No my dear, as her husband, I can totally understand. She will also find that amusing. I will leave you in the capable hands of your men.” With that, he went back into the room where Satine was. It wasn’t long until I heard her laughing as well.

“Okay, I have to know. What was all that about?” Tiny asked me while giving me a hug from behind.

I laughed a little, “I asked him if it was totally inappropriate for me to tell him I had a lady boner for his wife. I watched her shoot like a badass.” The guys all laughed as well.

Rabid came and took my hand, pulling me into the other room where they had been, “Then what we need to do is teach you how to shoot. We’ve been saying we will for quite a while now.

The next hour was filled with them teaching me about the gun, how to load and unload, the safety switch, how to clean and maintain it, about safety gear, and all of that learning technical stuff, then we actually spent some time shooting. I discovered I am actually a pretty okay shot. I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I didn’t feel too bad about it. 

Once we were done with all of that they led me back to the control room. Evidently, there was a whole entire room set up just for me to use. So when I walked in I was amazed at the amount of boxes, and equipment in here.

There was a large desk with a computer, multiple monitors, as well as file cabinets, and a rather large table where things were stacked around. There were also two bulletin boards with maps affixed to them. So, it seemed they had set up for me to be able to start inputting information into the computer, and then start working on wading through all of this. 

The program I had been working on in my head for months now needed to be moved to practical use, and any bugs fixed, and then it could help me wade through all of this, so that was what I thought I should start with. I heard a knock behind us and turned.

Atorro was there smiling at me, “If you would like my assistance, I would very much like to be of help with all of this.”

“I’m going to need it no doubt. I have been working on a program, but I still have to write it out, right now it’s just in my head. Once I get that up and running we will be able to wade through this stuff better. So, in the meantime, I need to figure out the timeline of information, so we can catalog and start from the right place.”

“If your men would care to help me, I can try to get the boxes more organized. That way we can have dates associated with them. Then I can check the hard drives for any equipment we might need, would that help you?” 

I smiled, “Yes, and as far as the guys, just ask them. I”m not sure if they have something they already have lined up to do, or if this is going to be a group project. We also need to discuss exactly how we are going to handle getting the women out that I find. So, there’s a lot to go over. Valenciaga was with Satine at the range, so we should talk to him when he gets here as well. Right now, I am going to go park my ass in front of that computer and start writing out my program.” 

Atorro nodded, and then he turned to the guys, “Do you have something already planned?"

Cody looked at him and answered, “No, we are here to back her up and support her with all of this. Then we’ll figure out as a team as we find women and locations what we should do from there.”
