Chapter 15 15
Chapter 15 15
Kayden stroked his short and soft chin with his fingers in confusion, trying to comprehend the chaos that was happening around him. He asks her, "What are you doing in the pantry with this look?"
She licked the excess honey from her fingertips, muttering, "I was taking a shower, and suddenly the heat around me rose to boiling and the water evaporated." She told him, raising her eyebrows, just realizing the strangeness of the situation.
After I finished my bathroom, I felt an urgent need to eat sweets, so I went down to the kitchen looking for something to eat.
He furrowed his eyebrows, trying to comprehend the confusion she uttered, wondering about her condition.
He crammed his body through the small door to enter it, but as soon as he took his first step, the room's abnormally high temperature stopped him, and he noticed Celine glowing with a faint white light.
"Celine, where are your bracelets?" He asked her, looking at her empty wrists in panic.
She raised her palms in front of her eyes, remembering that she forgot to put them back on her wrists.
"The lock has been unlocked for them both in the bathroom," she told him, staring at her hands in shock, seeing them glow with a faint yellow light.
She shrieked in terror, flicking her arms out in terror, hoping to stop their glow, discovering that her whole body was glowing,
She retreated in a rush, crashing into the shelves behind her, falling everything on her, and breaking and smashing the moment he stepped on the ground.
She retreated towards the opposite side, hovering around her with alarm, the sound of the glassware preparing to explode because of the high temperature rising around her, and it was only moments until it began to burst around her, flying fragments in every direction, so she collapsed on the ground with her face in her bosom, protecting her head with her arms, screaming, crying out for help from those who seek help. A moment ahead of her, she began to glow.
Kaiden reached the kitchen, rushing to her with her bracelets, which took a long time to find their place, and stood at the door, unable to enter her, feeling the glow passing through the small room about to burn the palace with those in it.
He stood hesitating, thinking about the seriousness of the situation; as he entered it, he would not be able to get out safely, and if he left it, it would set the palace and those in it on fire!
After a hesitation that did not last for a moment, he decided to enter it. He supported himself with his ability to spread a frost around and entered it, hoping that this gift would protect him from its blazing heat. As soon as he set foot inside the room, he lost his sight and was unable to reach her, so he randomly rammed into her.
Celine clings to the bracelets possessively, noticing that her glare is starting to fade. Immediately, she watches Kayden struggle to reach the door, she smells his skin burning, and she sees him suffering.
She screamed, her throat full, that someone would hear her and come to his rescue before it was too late, trying to get as far away from him as possible.
Damian finished his evening exercises and left the cellar towards the top floor of the palace.
As he collides with Celine's scream, which violently pierced his eardrum the moment he stepped on the threshold of the palace, he smelled a disgusting smell as if something was burning.
He hurriedly followed her voice, which led him straight to the pantry, and there he stood at its narrow entrance, stunned for a moment, before her frightened voice brought him back to consciousness, and he hurried to Kayden, pulling him out of the scorchingly hot room; he didn't understand why.
............
They took Kayden and left her in the room, embracing herself in the middle of the small room, rising violently.
The shock left her unable to comprehend what had happened to her and afraid that she might have caused Kaiden's death.
After a short while, Lina came in to her carrying some clothes with her. She sat next to her, watching her, embracing her trembling body and crying silently, frightened and terrified, and she had no idea of the reason or nature of what happened a while ago; her mind could not comprehend what she witnessed.
"I didn't mean to do that, I swear," she muttered, trying to convince herself before convincing Lina, who was silent beside her, not knowing what to answer.
"What happened to Kayden? Is he okay?" "He's not okay, he's not okay, he was suffering, he was burning," she said, shaking violently. She raised her hands to look at them in panic, shrieking, "I don't know what happened; I don't know; he—I hurt him...."
Lina helped her get dressed and supported her out of the stricken room, leading her up.
"Where did they take him?"
"He's in his ward; they brought him all the medical equipment he needed, and the doctor still had him inside."
She turned her head up the stairs leading to his wing, feeling weak, afraid, anxious, and lost.
His image does not leave her imagination, and his scent is on her nose, fearing for him to the point of death, begging the Almighty to save him for her...
She arrived at the ward, watching all his bodyguards waiting in front of his entrance with anxious and frightened expressions.
She stood in front of them, waiting for them to allow her to enter him, but they blocked her way, preventing her from him, dominating her with their presence.
Maxim's DNA surrounded him with an aura of anger; he seems ready to tear it with his fangs, but he did not frighten her, as all that is on her mind at the moment is to check on Kayden's condition.
He approached her while she was flat on the ground, refusing to bow to him. She insisted on entering Kayden, provoking his anger.
He revealed his fangs, roaring with a voice like a lion's roar:
"Give me one reason not to drain your blood now and here."
Mark replied, calm and bored as usual, "Kayden will kill you without hesitation. What do you think about this? Is it enough?"
Maxim's features were confused as he tried to understand their importance to his king.
After a short hesitation, he released her neck, contemplating her tiny body falling to the ground between his feet.
"I tried to kill him. I don't know what I did or how, but it's dangerous."
"It is his choice, and he alone has the right to dispose of her as soon as he recovers." Mark replied, standing up to him.
Their quarrel was interrupted by Larissa's exit from the suite, pale features embracing herself weakly, so the males all retreated, making way for her to move away from her, as if looking at her was a sin that they would be punished for.
Celine sniffed and pleaded with all of them.
"Please, let me go in to him. I didn't mean what happened; let me check on him."
Mark stood in front of her to prevent the rest of her from saying, "I'm sorry, but I have to take you back to the dungeon until the king regains consciousness and pronounces his judgment on you himself."
"Please let me see him for just a minute, and then do to me what you want."
He grabbed her by the arm and led her down in front of him, refusing to comply with her request and pleas, fleeing from the anger and revolt of Kayden's bodyguards, who seem fully prepared to execute her without trial.
She curled up in the corner of the dark and cold cell, crying silently, afraid for Kayden's health, and worried about what would happen to her fate after this disaster. The latter, perhaps this helps her to relax in vain, as it seems that only the tone of his voice can calm her down.
She buried her face between her palms, swaying left and right, humming, humming in vain. They brought her back to this dark and frightening dungeon and left her for her nightmares.
She feels like she is on the verge of losing her mind, unable to comprehend what happened to her!
How could she do that?
She gasped bitterly, crying out with oppression, I killed him! I burned him with a flame of fire that radiated from her body without doing anything to her!
She burned her clothes and everything around her, including Kayden, without harming her!
This is what makes her crazy and crazier.
How?
How did this happen?
Damian went down to the basement and headed toward the dungeon, intending to do evil to Celine and bent on discovering the truth about her.
Until this moment, his mind still cannot comprehend what he witnessed in that small room: Celine glowing like a piercing star, the super-high temperature in the small room, and Kayden's unexplained condition, as if he had been exposed to direct sunlight smelling of a terrible burning!
When he took him out of the small room in that condition, he did not expect to find him alive!
The doctor told him that his lungs and some of his heart arteries had been seriously damaged, in addition to his severe external burns and his damaged corneas, as if he had been exposed to direct sunlight and excessive proximity.
What did you do with it, and how?
They were the two questions that the doctor refused to answer on the pretext that his life was related to keeping the secret, and for this reason he decided to turn to the source directly, intent on forcing her to answer all his questions and more....
