Chapter 75: Bound By Fate

Chapter 75: Bound By Fate
Nelly

In the dimly lit library of Blancvue Mansion, we sat around the grand mahogany table, the weight of Alexandros's revelation still hanging heavy in the air. My hand trembled as I brought my glass of bloodwine to my lips, the rich, red liquid cascading down my throat, providing little solace against the turmoil within.

Alec, sitting beside me, reached out, his hand capturing mine, his thumb tracing soothing circles on my skin. "Nelly," he began, his voice soft and steady. "What Alexandros said... about us, about our bond... It's not... It's not something to be ashamed of."

I looked at him, my eyes filled with a sudden, intense anguish. "But Alec, he's your brother. Your family. And he hates us, hates what we are."

Alec's grip tightened on my hand, his eyes filled with a fierce, unyielding determination. "I choose you, Nelly. I choose us. Family or not, he can't, he won't, change that." He paused, his gaze flicking to Vincent and Quinn. "And neither can they. Not now, not ever."

Vincent watched us, his expression thoughtful. He leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled beneath his chin, his eyes filled with a sudden, intense resolve. "You're right, Alec. What we have... It's not something to be ashamed of. It's not something to be threatened by Alexandros, or by anyone else, for that matter." He paused, his gaze shifting to Alec and me before lingering on Quinn. "And I have the power to ensure it."

My eyes widened in surprise, Alec's brows furrowed in confusion, and Quinn's brows drew down in a frown. "What do you mean, Vincent?" Alec asked, his voice filled with caution. "What power?"

Vincent reached into his pocket, pulling out an ancient, worn locket, its surface etched with intricate, swirling symbols. He opened it, revealing a small, shimmering droplet of blood. He held it up, the light from the grand chandelier casting prismatic refractions on the crimson liquid.

"What is that, Vincent?" I breathed, my eyes filled with a sudden, intense wonder.

Vincent smiled, a soft, tender smile that made my heart flutter. "It's a gift, Nelly. A gift I've kept hidden, a secret even from myself. But now... now, it's time." He turned to Quinn, his eyes filled with a soft, pleading hope. "Quinn, this... this is the essence of my power. The power to turn a human into a vampire. I augmented it after I turned Nelly. It can now change any being into a vampire. You might keep some of your shifting, but you will gain increased immortality like vampires."

The room grew still, the air crackling with an electric charge. We stared at Vincent, our expressions filled with shock, with surprise, with a sudden, intense realization. "You're saying... You can... You can turn me?" Quinn asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Vincent nodded, his gaze filled with a soft, tender hope. "Yes, Quinn. If you'll have it. If you'll... if you'll choose us. Forever."

My heart raced, my body trembling with a mix of fear, excitement, of love. I looked between Vincent and Quinn, seeing the love, the desire, the commitment in their eyes. I knew, with a sudden, aching certainty, that this was it. Our fate, our future, our forever. And I knew, just as certainly, that I wanted it. I wanted them, all of them, forever. "Quinn, what are you waiting for?" I whispered, my voice filled with a soft, encouraging tenderness. "Our love, our bond, it's not something to be feared, not something to be teased by the prospect of mortality. It's... It's wonderful. It's perfect. It's... It's us. We could have those werepups that you’ve joked about since I survived my transformation."

Quinn looked at me, his eyes filled with a sudden, intense reservation. He turned to Vincent, his gaze filled with a soft, questioning uncertainty. "And if I refuse, Vincent? What then? Will you take back your offer? Will you... Will you break our bond?"

Vincent's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with a sudden, intense hunger. "I will not break what we've built, Quinn. Our bond, our love, our desire... It's not something to be negotiated, not something to be bartered with." He stood, his voice dropping to a low, menacing growl. "If you refuse... if you choose mortality over us... Then know this - I will fight for you, for us, until my last breath. And if you fall, if you refuse this gift, this love, then I will follow you into the abyss. For us, for you, for what we've built... I will not let you go."

As Vincent spoke, Alec and I stood, our hands joining Vincent's, our eyes filled with a fierce, unbreakable intensity. "We stand with Vincent, Quinn," Alec said, his voice steady and strong. "We will follow him into the abyss, for you, for us, for what we've built."

I nodded, my eyes filled with a soft, tender love. "Yes, Quinn. We stand united. We stand as one. With Vincent, with Alec, with you. Now... and forever." I look towards Alexis’s nursery as I rub my belly. “Our future stands with us, with you, forevermore.”

Quinn watched us, his eyes filled with a sudden, intense realization. He saw the love, the commitment, the unity in our eyes. And he knew, with a sudden, aching clarity, that his path was set. He stood, his body moving towards Vincent, towards their love, their future. "I choose us, Vincent. I choose our bond, our love, our forever. I choose an eternity with this family. I bind myself and my pack to yours."

As Quinn spoke, Vincent captured his mouth in a fierce, searing kiss, their love, their desire, their commitment, consuming them. I smiled at how genuine it was and that the two alphas in my life can finally openly express themselves. Alec and me joined them, our hands and bodies entwining, our love binding us together, completing us, uniting us, now and forevermore.
