Cruise's POV

"Alpha, the council members are here to see you" The guard announced.

"Let them in, "I said and soon they walked in

"Have a seat, It's been a while since you all showed your face in the pack house?" I said pointing to the empty seat

"We didn't want to because of what has been going on with the rogue attacks," one of them said

"I have someone you should meet," I said and they just were looking at me as though I had five heads.

"Come here" I beckoned on Keegan and she came forth seeing her belly they all gasped.

"Yes she is my baby's mother and also she is also my human mate," I said.

Just then the maid who had been clearing the storage room walked out carrying an old box.

"Alpha I found this in the storage room, Since it might be something of value to you, I didn't want to throw it away, "The lady said

"It's okay, I will go through it and once am through, I will call for you," I said to her.

"Yes Alpha, "The maid said and then she bowed and left the room.

" So after this, you would require your company and take over the pack? " someone dared to ask me from the council of ten.

"Baxter I can always make sure to work through both," I said with affinity in my voice.

The meeting had to be brief and if I said nobody could go, then nobody could go.

I realised some odd looks on Keegan but none had anything else to say to me.

"We accept her," they said in unison.

"I didn't need your approval but that would do," I said to them and they all bent their heads.

I could feel the judgement and I didn't wantKeegana to feel kike she was not wanted there.

"Keegan, you can go back to the room let's discuss this better," I said and she slowly got up and left.

I opened the box and began to go through the things that were in it

Only for me to stop when I saw a familiar picture among the things

"What's wrong?"Baxter asked

"This" I replied showing him the picture

"It's a picture of your parents" he replied

"I know right, When they died years ago, I had made sure to throw away everything that belonged to them but how can this remain?"I asked as I stared at it

"Maybe it's some sort of sign" Lucas jumped in.

"Don't start now"I replied throwing the picture back into the box

"Someone once told me that the truth can't be hidden forever," Lucas said

"Tell that to someone else, We have been keeping this secret for years now and no one has found out and no one will," I said he knew what I meant so he shut up.

"He might be dead but he's still your father Cruise" Bacter and the great tried to make me understand. I had been so ruined and hurt when my parents died that I decided never to be back here but here I was.

"But why so much secrecy,? my dad had never mentioned them before"I said

"That's because you are Alpha were a kid when all of it happened, He would have forgotten them" one reminded me.

"You are right, So tell me more! You found out a lot by gossiping around, Now tell me what you found out"I asked.

Now meeting my baby mama and mate had turned out to be finding something crucial and I had to understand what was happening.

"Fine then, I heard that their death was tragic, They died in a car accident" Baxter explained.

"My Goddess! It must have been so painful, I don't know what I would have done if it were to happen to me"I said feeling sad but I didn't show it.

" But the first Alpha was brutal he deserved death" someone whispered.

"Don't say that! You can't be happy that someone else died leaving you his or her spot, It must have been tragic for the great Luna then" someone reprimanded him I turned and a signal had his head slashed and blood splashing all over.

"What?"

"We have someone who has been fighting for this pack an uncle of yours".

" You don't say" I replied looking extremely determined to find this man.

"They had been fighting for the pack but the Alpha's greatest wish was to have his son have the pack," someone said.

"The meeting is adjourned please you all go home," I said.

Just then the door opened and I knew she was not sleeping.

Keegan closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep.

"Are you sleeping or you are just pretending to be?" I asked but she didn't answer.

I knew she felt the bed give way as I knelt by her side

Still pretending, she felt me moving close to her and then I held her close.

She couldn't do a thing because she was supposed to be asleep

I pushed her hair away and placed my face on her cheek

"Since you are asleep, I can be close to you for a while" I whispered gently

"I am sorry I hurt you, I am sorry for not trusting you, Sorry for lashing out at you, Sorry for not being there for you, I am sorry for everything and if it will take me years to say sorry to you, I will," I said I just felt like apologising to her she had been through a lot and if me apologising had to preserve this love I was going to do so.

She couldn't pretend that she was sleeping because she was listening to what I was saying and she shook from the spot and then she looked me in the eyes.

"I don't believe you love me Cruise," she said and I was flabbergasted.

"Fine don't believe me, but always believe me when I say this, I love you and no matter what, That will never change" I added and kissed her cheek.

I was about to go when she held my shirt.

"I said I don't believe what you say, I don't believe you me but I believe you adore and cherish Cruise, I know that your council members were all surprised to see me but ill tell you that I would stick with you, we've stuck from Adam and now nothing has to change," she said and for a man who doesn't very always I swear I shed a tear or two as I pulled her to myself just wanting to crush her sublet skin and blend with mine.

How did I end up with her, how did I get so blessed? I didn't deserve her innocence or sincerity she was just so cute and all I could do was pray and bless our Moon goddess for choosing her for me.

"You don't have to cry," she said cleaning my eyes but well I had to cry a little because this is crazy she knew the things to say to make me happy and I liked the way I was feeling now, I liked how she accepted who I was and I liked the ways she makes feel important and for her, I was accepting everything I had rejected before.

She made me feel things Chloe didn't make me believe I guess it was love.

"I love you and our baby so freaking much Keegs," I said and then I received a smacking.

"You don't have to say such obscene words to our pup as you guys call it here," she said and I just couldn't believe this she was unbelievable.

"I am story baby," she said and then she went on to kiss me and I reciprocated to the baby in her womb.

I was in love for sure.
