76. Smell Of Sweetness!

Veronica's POV

I opened my eyes to look at the clear sky and happy morning. It feels new.

I sighed in satisfaction when cool Breeze fanned my face.

Vlad has really started changing and I am glad about it. Not like I love to break relationships but I had to send him divorce notice because this wasn't going to work out. He hurt me really bad.

But he is trying, he doesn't want to give up and I appreciate that.

I turned my head to look at him. His eyes are already on me and it made me gasp.

"Creep!"

I tried to calm down my breathing.

We are still tangled in bedsheets and with each other. His hand is firm against my waist.

"I am admiring my wife... It's called love not creepy."

He chuckled.

He grabbed my thigh and gently pulled me closer making me realise that I am sore. We hardly slept for an hour or two.

He lazily groaned in my neck and kissed there making my cheeks go red. How can someone sound so sexy while groaning?

On top of that he is shirtless and I can see his back flexing with his every move.

"Vlad, we should leave now!"

I mumbled.

"It feels good here..."

He groaned again. Stop it, man. I am already sore, can't afford to go for morning round.

"This is public place."

I chuckled.

He sighed.

"Right... We'll continue after going home."

He smiled.

"I am sore."

I patted his arm, telling him to get up from me. He is literally on top of me.

He got up and I sucked in breath, he is too big.

"I am sorry..."

Did he just sound guilty?

"Was I too rough?"

I slid down my dress and handed him back his shirt.

"I like it rough."

I chuckled.

He smirked and gently kissed my back before helping me with the zipper.

I smiled when he pulled me on his lap and hugged me from behind.

"I love you, Doc!..."

I didn't say anything. I don't know why. Maybe he read my silence.

"And I don't expect you to reply on this because you need time... I understand!..."

He mumbled on my neck.

"I am ready to wait for your forgiveness, however long it takes..."

He turned me around to look at him and pecked my lips.

"Let's go and eat something, you must be hungry."

"Why do you always ask me if I am hungry or so I want to eat something?"

I asked. He never let me go without eating.

He smiled and kissed my nosetip.

"The 1st rule of dating is never let your woman stay on an empty stomach. Always ask her if she wants to eat something... And we are not just dating, you are my wife, I have to do more than this."

Wow! No man has ever tried to do this for me. And this small thing makes such a big difference.

He really knows how to show care with such small things.

I wrapped my arms around his and hugged him while smiling on his chest. He hugged me back and I know he is smiling too. His hug feels so good and comfortable.

"Let's go, I am really hungry..."

I broke the hug.

He helped me to get down from the car and wore his shirt. I wanted to say 'Don't wear it but it, you look good without a shirt' but I controlled myself.

He fixed his shirt and we headed towards the city. I couldn't help but smile when he intertwined his fingers with mine while controlling the car with one hand.

I looked out to hide my smile and saw huge line of people. Fuck, people are waiting to go up.

"You blocked the place for us?"

I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Yepp, I don't like crowded places..."

He winked at me.

"How mean!"

I couldn't help but laugh. I mean it was mean but I felt so special last night.

"I wanted to spend time with you and It was impossible with so much people around.. they can stay at home one night..."

He shrugged.

"Thank you for the last night."

I smiled.

"It's nothing. You deserve better than this."

He kissed side of my head and focused on driving again.

"This place looks amazing, let's stop here."

I suggested it when I saw a small aesthetic cafe.

He parked the car and opened the door for me.

I can already smell delicious croissants and sweetness.

It's a small place but with good interior and retro vibes. There are few people who are enjoying their breakfast.

We ordered our food and I blushed furiously when Vlad made eye contact with me.

God, what's wrong with me? Not like this my first breakfast with him. It's already been a year.

"Did you hear?"

The old lady who was sitting across us said which grabbed our attention.

"Someone booked the whole hill station to spend a night with his wife..."

"I heard, I thought today's generation has forgotten the romance but Jesus..."

The another lady chuckled.

I blushed furiously and looked at Vlad who was already smiling.

"I wish I would have get a man like that, lucky girl she is."

She laughed.

"I will call that man, a fool... Who couldn't worship your beauty, my lady..."

Vlad answered.

"Oh boy!"

The old lady laughed sweetly at him and he laughed too.

"You are such a sweetheart!"

Only if you know grandma. I scoffed internally.

We finished our breakfast and headed back home.

Grace was sitting on the lawn.

"What happened to my fireball, why are you sulking?"

Vlad asked when he noticed her sore mood.

"You cancelled my trip to Italy?"

She asked and my breath got stuck in my throat.

It's going to be heated here.

Because Vlad won't let her go and she is so stubborn that she will not keep quite until she goes.

By the way why she wants to go to Italy?
