The council members stood up immediately I entered the hall, they all looked behind me expecting the Alpha to come along.

“ Do we no longer show respect, to the Luna” Beta Brandon asked

His words seemed to wake them up , and they bowed slightly, greeting in unison.

I walked to the end of the hall , and took my seat next to the Alpha's.

“ Sit” I commanded, and they all sat

“Your Alpha is finally awake.” I said gently

The hall erupted into murmurs of happiness, and after it had quieted down I continued

“ The perpetrators of this great evil on the Alpha were from this very council” I said “ do dont be offended I allowed no one to visit the Alpha

“ I was not going to make him vulnerable, when I don't know if there are any more members still in the council” I added “ they were all killed as they tried to fight the guards except one .”

I scanned the faces in the room “ your very own Lisa, was part of the group that almost assassinated the Alpha

The hall fell into a great silence , “and also Jason and his accomplices” I continued

“My verdict for Lisa is lifetime imprisonment, and if caught trying to escape be killed on the spot” I said

Elder Lucien stood up, his eyes filled with disappointment. “I suspected  weeks, but I did want to act without solid evidence” he said “ and for that I am deeply sorry , Luna , my hesitation almost cost us the life of our Alpha.”

Councilwoman Petra also stood up “ they had been trying to convince us and deceive us into betraying the Alpha” she said “ but we could do no such thing to our Alpha.

The hall fell into silence again, when Anton one of the Northern representative stood up “ one of them , Dolan to be precised, wanted us to go against the Alpha because he was hiding information crucial to our safety”

His words made my heart skip “ and what kind of information would that be” I asked

He paused for a while before raising his head “ about your connection with whatever was going on, you had reacted weirdly a lot of times to these things” he said “ especially the last one that happened in the council meeting.”

I knew these things were causing suspicions among the pack , if I could stop them, I really would have.

I looked at all of them “ The Alpha and I really don't know what is happening to me, we are not holding back any information, we just don't know why everything is happening” I said “ but one thing I know for sure is that I'm cured of my curse and your Alpha and I. Are doing everything in our power to stop these things.”

Elder Marcus stood up and cleared his throat “Luna , how sure are you that the curse has been cured.”

What made me believe that the curse was gone, what if it wasn't truly cured, I only believed the priestess word, and there was a conviction deep in my heart that I no longer held the moon goddess curse.

“ The priestess who passed the decree cured me, and I believe it somewhere deep in me, that I  no longer hold the curse”I said “ these things happening are not a result of any curse but of a bigger evil.

The hall fell into murmurs as everybody started debating on what I said.

Elder Lucien stood up again “ Luna, do you know what kind of evil we face, is it a repercussion of things done before” he asked

I could not tell them everything, I didn't want them to hate me more, I may not be the one that half summoned this witch , but this witch is related to me .

“ I don't know” I said as I shaked my head “ I only know what I've told you do far

“ And also I'll be taking the Alpha to my brother's pack , the blue moon pack”i added

I could hear the disagreement in the murmurs that filled the hall

“Luna , you can't do that” Elder Marcus said “ we can't let our Alpha go to another pack in his weak State

“ Yes” the hall agreed

“ The healer there discovered an herb that heals injuries faster” I said calmly “ and I also need to help my brother with some issues in his pack, I cannot and will not leave the Alpha here alone.”

“ Luna, the Alpha is safe here with his people‌, we would take care of him” Elder Marcus added

I broke out into a mocking laugh “ I saw how safe he was a few night ago” I said mockingly “ his very own people tried to kill him, I don't even know if any more of them are still seated in this hall with us”

The room fell into an uncomfortable silence, as I saw shame and disappointed across the faces in the hall

I felt bad instantly and decided to salvage the situation “ I would live for the Alpha to stay with his people now ,but he is in a very vulnerable position right now,” I said “ he needs those herbs from the healer in my brother's pack, to be able to heal faster and come back to you guys in good health”

I continued , lying about the seriousness of his situation “he is still in very critical condition, and if a rival pack of rogue wolves hear of this, they may attack us , so he needs to heal at a faster pace.”

I looked towards Beta Brandon with a smile. “ Beta Brandon here , knows the pack as well as our Alpha , so he would play the role of Alpha till we come back.”

They seem to finally agree and the hall fell silent

“ Is there anymore , questions” I asked

“ Can we see the Alpha before you leave” Elder Lucien asked

“ Yes of cause” I said “ we would be departing first thing tomorrow morning from the palace, you all can be there”

“ Anymore questions” I added

The hall remained silent
