Chapter 516 Returning to the Upper West Side

Chapter 516 Returning to the Upper West Side

Luann and Myron quickly returned to the Upper West Side.

They were afraid Williams would come after them once he got out of the small dark room.

So Luann decisively took Myron and left.

Besides, they had been out for quite a while this time.

When Jones saw them off, although his face showed no expression, his eyes were full of reluctance.

He kept asking, "Luann, when will you come back to see me again?"

Luann vaguely responded, "In a while."

There were still many things on the Upper West Side that hadn't been dealt with, so she couldn't give an exact answer.

Who knew Jones would be so persistent?

"How long is 'a while'?"

"Half a month?"

"A month?"

Luann couldn't help but laugh.

"You might as well just let me stay here and not leave."

Jones's pupils sparkled with anticipation, "Can you?"

Luann helplessly held her forehead.

How could Jones, who was so brutal and cold in front of others, act like an unreasonable child in front of her?

"Jones, we're not going on vacation; we need to go back and handle things," Luann persuaded kindly. "When you have free time, you can go to the RH Auction House more often, see if there's anything good you can take."

Jones was serious and stern.

"How could I do such a thing?"

"Why couldn't you? When I was ten, you went to a friend's house and took a vase from their study because you liked it," Luann said, pointing out his misdeeds over the years with her slender fingers.

"When I was twelve, your friend invited you to a banquet, and you almost fought over a newly bought antique."

"And, and..."

Jones's face turned red with anger.

It wasn't so much being exposed, but being exposed in front of Myron that made him feel embarrassed.

The two started arguing back and forth.

Myron stood silently to the side, almost falling asleep when Luann finally conceded.

"I won't argue with you."

Jones snorted angrily, waving his big hand, "I won't argue with you either. Hurry up and get on the plane! Don't waste time!"

Myron checked the time.

The two had been arguing for over an hour.

Luckily, it was a private jet; otherwise, they would have missed their flight.

"Alright, I'm leaving."

Luann boarded the plane and waved at Jones.

Jones nodded, "Go on."

The private jet gradually ascended into the sky.

Luann took off her shoes and curled up in a comfortable nook.

She couldn't help but sigh.

"Who would've thought we'd leave with four people and return with just two."

Eddy had just arrived and didn't want to go back so soon, so he planned to stay and play with Holly for a while since they both had free time.

"I wonder how Elodie is doing."

Luann had a good impression of Elodie.

"She already issued a statement explaining the Sunflower endorsement," Myron suddenly said, showing her Facebook.

Luann excitedly slapped her thigh.

"Good, very good! No wonder I like her!"

Myron was puzzled.

Why did that sound a bit strange?

And why did that slap land on his thigh?

Hours later.

The plane landed.

The two took a car home.

As soon as they entered, Luann collapsed on the couch.

"Comfortable."

Luann yawned but didn't rush to sleep.

They had just returned today, and she figured they might need to visit The Curtis Manor tonight.

Myron watched her lie down and then sit up, his thin lips parting with a hint of doubt, "What's wrong? You've been tired all the way, get some rest."

"Vito over there..."

Before she could finish, Myron understood her meaning.

"If you don't tell him, how will he know we're back?"

After all, they took a private jet, so the reporters and media couldn't track them.

Besides, even if someone saw them, so what?

His woman didn't need to strictly follow every rule.

Moreover, he didn't want to see Luann so tired and still worrying about such trivial matters.

"Go tomorrow, rest well today."

Myron said, then picked Luann up horizontally.

His brows furrowed slightly.

A look of deep regret flashed across his eyes.

What's going on?

Have they been traveling too much lately?

Is Luann exhausted?

She felt lighter than usual when he picked her up!

The three pounds she had gained were all gone!

Myron secretly decided to make something delicious to nourish Luann.

So, while Luann rested, he quickly went to the supermarket to get some ingredients.

Then, after a lot of effort.

He found the presentation a bit lacking.

But.

You can't judge a book by its cover; maybe it had a beautiful heart beneath its ugly exterior!

Thinking this, Myron couldn't help but nod.

Suddenly.

The doorbell rang.

He walked over to open the door, and there stood a delivery guy with a bright smile.

"Hello, your delivery! Enjoy your meal!"

Myron looked down.

"I didn't order any delivery."

The delivery guy checked the address, "This is your address."

Myron was about to speak when his phone suddenly rang.

It was Eddy calling.

"How's it going? I saw the delivery just got there; you got it, right?"

Myron immediately understood. He took the delivery, nudged the door closed with his foot, and easily shut it.

Half his face was hidden in the darkness.

"You ordered this?"

Eddy hummed proudly, feeling particularly foresighted.

"Of course, to prevent you from poisoning Luann, I carefully calculated the time and spent a lot of money to get it for you!"

Myron glanced at the printed delivery receipt.

It was from a well-known restaurant on the Upper West Side, not cheap.

"You think I need this?" Myron sneered disdainfully.

"Trust me, even a dog wouldn't eat what you make. If you don't believe me, bring Sarah from my mom's place; she might be dead by the next day."

Myron was silent.

He didn't believe this.

"Stop trying to drive a wedge between Luann and me."

"I cook very well; she loves it."

A loud slap sound came from the other end.

It was Eddy's hand hitting his own forehead in exasperation.

"Are you really crazy or just pretending? Don't you have any idea what your cooking is like? Luann is just being polite, so she says it's good, understand?" Eddy didn't know how to explain it to him.

How could there be such a confident man in this world!
