Chapter 515 Free-Range Alvin
Chapter 515 Free-Range Alvin
The Curtis family gathered together.
"Diana, Myron is really something. He has such a strong background and didn't even tell us."
"Really envious, how did you raise him?"
"Look at our ungrateful Alvin, he's almost lost all the money Charles and I gave him!"
Alvin's mother, Zoey Powell, was a very kind-looking woman. She couldn't help but spread her hands frequently while talking, which seemed to be her little habit.
Diana calmly accepted the compliments in her heart.
But Watson was the one who acted all proud.
"My son takes after me! Hahaha!"
"But to be honest, even as his father, I didn't expect Myron to be so successful!"
"Compared to him, what does the Curtis family even count for?"
Charles had been close to Watson since they were kids. After they both got married, Diana and Zoey also got along well, so they often gathered to chat.
Of course, the most important thing was that Charles's family never showed any intention of fighting for the family inheritance.
In the main company, they also didn't go against Watson.
That's why their relationship was so harmonious.
Charles nodded.
"Thinking back to when Myron was a kid, I used to pick him up from kindergarten."
"In the blink of an eye, he's grown up and is now above all of us in status."
"Being the big boss of RH, just hearing it is intimidating!"
Watson laughed heartily.
His gums were showing.
"Watson is so good at raising kids, you should take this opportunity to have another one," Charles joked.
Zoey laughed, "Yeah, you only have one child. Having another one would make things livelier. Besides, you're not that old yet; you still have the energy for it."
After saying that, Charles and Zoey exchanged a glance and chuckled a bit awkwardly.
The speakers were unintentional, but the listeners took it to heart.
Watson's expression suddenly froze, like ice cracking.
Watson waved his hand awkwardly, "Hey, we've been married for so long, where's the energy for that?"
Diana coldly tugged at the corner of her mouth but said nothing.
Zoey vaguely sensed something was wrong.
Her gaze shifted between Diana and Watson.
After thinking for a while, she finally realized what was off.
Why haven't these two interacted at all?
Sitting there like strangers, not even looking at each other.
Could it be that they had another fight?
Men are not as observant as women, and Charles didn't notice this detail at all. Instead, he continued the conversation with Watson.
"How can you say you don't have the energy? Myron is so accomplished, and Luann is not bad either."
"You can completely let go of the Curtis family; there's no need to fight for it at all!"
"If I had such a good son, I wouldn't do anything and just retire at home every day, haha!"
Watson forced a laugh, his smile growing more and more stiff.
He quickly changed the subject.
"Why haven't we seen Alvin for a while? Where did he go?"
Charles's family responded calmly.
"It's only been a little over a week, why worry?"
"Exactly, he often sneaks out, and when he disappears, it's for a month. How can we keep an eye on him all the time?"
"Kids grow up, you can't control them. He's not as worry-free as your Myron."
Seeing the topic circling back, Watson hurriedly changed it again.
"It's been over a week, shouldn't you contact him?"
Charles said, "We used to contact him, but he told me not to disturb him while he's out having fun."
Zoey said, "Simply put, he often turns off his phone when he goes out to play. We're used to it."
Watson nodded awkwardly.
Alright.
Clearly, he's being raised freely.
But boys are like that.
Back when Myron was managing the main company, he often went on business trips. He'd be gone for months, and no one worried.
If it were a little girl, the attitude would be different.
"Hey, when are Myron and Luann coming back? They've been gone for quite a while."
"They should be back soon," Watson said uncertainly, as Myron hadn't called him either.
Diana looked down at her watch.
She stood up.
"It's getting late, I'm leaving."
Zoey was stunned.
"Leaving? Where are you going?"
Before Diana could answer, Watson quickly said, "She has some work to do. Diana, I'll take you."
He then helped Diana up.
Diana coldly shook off his hand and walked straight out.
Zoey watched their backs as they left, unable to help but wonder, "Come to think of it, Diana hasn't stayed at the old house for a while, has she?"
Charles didn't notice anything.
"Yeah."
"Don't you find it strange?" Zoey asked puzzledly, "It's like they're living separately."
"Stop overthinking. Maybe they're just busy with work and don't have time to come back. Isn't that normal?" Charles said.
"But didn't you notice Diana's odd expression? They barely talk to each other."
"Maybe she's just tired."
Zoey looked at him in surprise.
She couldn't help but poke his head with her finger.
"I'm really starting to doubt if that story about Shirley almost being with you is true! Who would want a man who can't read a woman's expressions?"
Charles chuckled and hugged her.
"You do!"
High heels clicked in front.
Watson caught up.
He grabbed Diana's hand angrily.
"What's your problem?"
Diana looked at him coldly, "What's your problem? Acting every day, aren't you tired?"
"Diana, can't you think about me?" Watson pressed his temples hard.
Diana said, "I think I've thought about you enough. I've even given up my position as your wife. What more do you want?"
"Alright, in short, just keep acting with me for a while. It won't be for long!" Watson said irritably.
He hadn't dared to reveal that he and Diana were divorced before, fearing Vito would cause trouble.
Now with Myron and Luann's status, he had an extra layer of protection.
So, he wasn't as afraid anymore.
Diana's words were filled with disappointment.
"You really disgust me."
Watson was a bit angry, "Splitting up with someone you don't love makes me disgusting? When Myron was in that fire, and you cruelly didn't even look at him, didn't you think you were disgusting too?"
Diana gave him a deep look, didn't explain a word, and left.
