Chapter 65—Last Try

Noah's POV:

She hates me.

But I don't.

I will not give up this time, God.

I can't give her on her.

You took what you wanted.

Always.

But not this time. I am going to meet her... and you can't stop me.

I went to her house bunking the college. But her house was empty and locked. I asked the neighbors.

"Oh the Youngs? They transferred this morning" they said.

"Transferred? Where?"

"I don't know"

I called Liam. Ava must know where she is.

"Hey Noah" he said.

"Ava with you?"

"Yes"

"Ask her if she knows where is Astrid going"

"Okay. Wait a minute" he said, and the call ended.

I was waiting for the call. It came a minute later, exactly.

"Noah?" Ava said.

"Yes Ava"

"Well, she told me that she is leaving the country. Run to the airport if you want to meet her"

I literally started running and found my car. I started driving insanely but then I remembered that I didn't cut the call.

"Hey.. uh.. Thanks for the help. Bye"

"Bye"

The call ended and using the GPS, I drove to the nearest airport.

I went inside and started searching for her.

There she is.

With her mom.

I wanted to go. But should I?

No. No time to think.

I ran towards her and as I went near her, she noticed me.

"N-Noah?" she said.

"I want to talk to you" I said. "Alone"

She glanced at her mom, while her mom didn't seem to like me anymore. "Mom, a minute" she said.

"You sure?"

"Yes" she replied, and her mom nodded.

She then took me some where private.

"By coming here you've already showed me that you don't respect my decision, but still, I wanna ask. What's the matter?" she said.

"What's the matter?? You didn't even let me explain! Did I mean nothin—"

"Just stop Noah!! I meant nothing to you! You meant everything to me but not anymore! And about explanation? Hell, Noah I would have let you if you just were holding hands or were hugging her. But you kissed her. YOU kissed her. YOU initiated the kiss. I don't wanna listen to your sick excuses. Leave, please!"

"You never trusted me, did you?" I asked in a broken voice.

"Noah..."

"Where are you going?"

"I will not tell you. Just know this... I'm going far. Far enough to never think about you anymore"

"Good for you. Bye" I said and turned around to leave. "And yes. I respect your decision"

I left without sharing any more glances with her and went back hotel.

If she's better off me, maybe we didn't have a chance.

Maybe we weren't meant to be together.

I got home and got a call from Charlotte.

"N-Noah, I-I am sorry" she said.

"It's not your fault! Why are you apologizing?"

"But..."

"It was mine. I never made her trust me. It's fine, Charlotte. Just... I wanna tell you that I'm leaving the college and... Leaving"

"What? Why?"

"Please"

"Oh... Okay.. Where are you going?"

"NY"

"Oh... Well... Best of luck for your future"

"Thanks. Likewise."

"Bye"

"Bye Charlotte" I ended the call and packed my stuff to leave.

This place has too many emotions to handle. I have to leave everything behind. I can't go very far, but I can go to Xander at least.

I called Xander.

"Which college do you go?" I asked.

"Well, hello to you too"

"Hello. Now tell me"

"Columbia University. Why?"

"I'm coming" I replied.

"What? Here?"

"Any problems?"

"No, bro, I'm hell happy!!"

"Good then. Wait for me" I said and sat down in my car to drive.

I got to New York after a long drive and finally made it to my hotel. I have booked one on the way. It's quite expensive, but you know, I've saved a lot.

Anyways, I will need more money to get into the college.

I decided to meet Xander before the end of the day.

I went to his house.

"Hey Xan" I said. He hugged me. "Hey Noah."

"Are your parents inside?"

"Yip"

"Let me meet them"

"Sure" he said, and I went inside. I said hello to them and then started talking to Xander.

"I can help you financially" he said.

"What? No"

"Please. Take a little help"

"A little...okay? I'll return you once I get it"

"Whatever Noah. Its fine. Now tell me what happened between you and Astrid?"

"W-what? Nothing happened.."

"Really? You left CA and you're here without Astrid. Something happened"

"We broke up" I said.

"What? Why?"

"I cheated on her"

"That's what she thought. But what happened?" he asked.

This guy really knows me.

"Okay. Misunderstandings. The most common causes of the disease known as break up... Which commonly results in heart breaks and depressions, and it is currently uncurable"

"You're too much into medicals you know?"

"Thanks"

"Wasn't a compliment" he rolled his eyes.

"Didn't take it as one. Anyways, Bye now"

"Bye? You aren't staying here?"

"No!" I laughed. "I'm here permanently. So, bye"

"Okay... Meet tomorrow"

"Yeah bye" I said and left for the hotel.

I applied for the university online and got the admission.
