Chapter 66—Time Flies But Love Never Dies
Six months later:
Astrid's POV:
After leaving CA, I went to Paris. I always wanted to come here... And I kind of had an excuse now.
After coming here, now I had to think about my future studies. I got into a college and finally my college has completed now.
Now, I have to go to a business academy. I just have to complete that... And then I'll be on my way.
Maybe I told Noah... I will not think of him. But no. Every day, every minute, I think of him. I regret. I should have... Let him explain without making everything so worse.
Now, I don't have a single gut to call him. Not a single nerve to message him. Not a single reason to go back to him.
It's over.
Why do we realize our mistakes when everything has gone worst?
Anyways, my mom has told me to focus on my focus, rather than the one who 'cheated' on me. I don't know.
I don't know what he did or not. But... I was just... There was just no reason for him to kiss another girl.
I mean, that hurts.
Even if his intentions were not wrong.
But still, a kiss is a kiss.
I searched for the business university and finally found 'HEC College'.
I applied for it online. I saw that it's very difficult to get into that university, I might not get the admission. But, I should at least try.
Noah's POV:
I was lost, I didn't know what can I do. I was studying. But... I was... Lost.
I can't concentrate on my studies. I have tried everything. My grades are not bad, but... You know the feeling when you just do what you are supposed to do, and when you don't want to do that?
I mean, I loved studying. But now.. It feels like a burden.
I wanna run away and search every part of the world to find Astrid.
Ava doesn't know where she was headed. I checked the flight time and the place. But I didn't know which flight she was boarding.
At that instant, three flights were organized.
Virginia, USA
Paris, France Moscow, Russia.
I don't know where she went. All I could do was check in Virginia as it is close and is in America.
But it didn't yield to anything. I searched, but because of studies, even if she's there, I couldn't find her.
I'm giving up.
I can't find her any more.
She has left me.
Probably moved on.
I should too.
I have completed my college and now I have to take admission in some medical college.
I looked up on the Internet and finally found one university that meets my requirements.
I applied for the New York Medical College.
It is a difficult college to get into. It's written here that only 2% people can get into this. I am not sure I will be able to, but, it's worth a shot.
Astrid's POV:
I woke up the next day and checked my laptop and found that I have not been selected for the university!
Oh god. I saw other universities, but mom suggested me that I should go back to USA because they offer better education too and that they will probably take me in because I studied there most of the time.
I didn't have a choice and decided to go back to the US and continue my studies there. I can't always run away; I have to face my reality. Maybe... Maybe I come across Noah? Maybe I make things right this time?
I applied for the Harvard Business School online and booked the flight for US.
We got to the US and I got the notification that... I have been selected!
We arrived in Boston, Massachusetts. We paid a visit to the University to make sure all things are well and good.
The entrance test was passed and I was successfully entering one of the best Universities.
Let's start a new life, Astrid.
Noah's POV:
I was jumping with joy when I got to know that they have accepted me for the college!
I checked on with the university the same day and finalizing my papers, I sighed at the beautiful college.
Let's start a new life, Noah.
ONE YEAR LATER:
Time passes fast, doesn't it?
It's been one and a half year since she left.
This new university is good.
All good like any other dream college.
But in reality? I don't know what to do.
The more the time passes, the more I don't think I'll ever meet her again.
Is this the end?
Will we never meet each other again?
Is this how to lovers lead their life?
Is our story some sad novel?
I don't know the answers but these questions are giving me hell of a headache.
"Take your pills, Noah" Xander said.
Oh yeah, as he has also come to this university, we share the same dorm and he lived with me.
"I don't want to" I made my regular excuse.
"Doctor said—"
"We are in a medical college and we know that I don't need it"
"No. I know you need it. Before your depression reaches stage three. It has already reached stage two, Noah. Just.." he trailed off looking at me. "Forget about her"
"I can't!" I yelled. "You know I can't"
"Then take this" he said sternly while giving me a glass of water and the pills. "I don't care about her at all. You know what? Love is a curse. You should have never—"
"Just stop Xan. It's not like that"
"Oh really? What has love ever given?"
"Leave it. This is the last discussion I wanna have right now" I said and sighing, I took the tablets.
"Okay. Now sleep. Holidays are starting from tomorrow. We gotta enjoy and bring you out of this"
"Yeah fine" I said and then we slept.
Astrid's POV:
I have been studying here and as the date of my marriage comes near, I am getting scared.
Who will I marry?
Will my mom make me marry anyone for the sake of that wish?
Last six months are left for the marriage to be scheduled and I don't have anyone.
I tried. I tried making a boyfriend. I even found a good guy.
But I couldn't let him in.
I wasn't interested in him.
We didn't work out.
I don't have anyone I can marry.
What should I do?
Mom called me. "Hey mom" I replied.
"So, as I said. I have found a groom for you. Your vacations must be starting soon. So, pay a visit on the first day itself and we'll let you meet him"
"Mom..."
"Please Astrid. I need you to cooperate. Bye!"
The call ended as I sighed and packed my things.
My vacations are starting from tomorrow.
