Chapter 164: Rebirth Part 2

Chapter 164: Rebirth Part 2
Lilac’s P.O.V

“Krimson will come for me.” I told Silver finally, my words filled with unwavering trust. “He always came to save me. And this time as well…Krimson will come for me. My pack will come for me!”

"Lilac, you have to understand," Silver began, her voice soft but weighted with an undeniable truth. "Krimson couldn't even save you in your previous life. What makes you think he can do so now?"

I stared at Silver, disbelief etching lines on my face. "Previous life?" My voice wavered, the words barely escaping my lips. "What do you mean?"

Silver hesitated for a moment, before an almost sinister smile spread on her face, as if she knew something that I didn’t, and she was trying to decide if to reveal the truth or to taunt me with it further.

"One of the pivotal criteria for the birth of a Silver Alpha Breeder," she explained slowly, finally deciding on telling me the truth. "Is that a 'pure' woman must die before her eighteenth birthday, carrying unfulfilled desires or regrets in her heart."

Her words echoed in my mind, unraveling the very fabric of my belief. A cold shiver ran down my spine as the implications sank in.

Something clicked in my mind. As if the pieces of an ancient puzzle fell into place one by one, creating a clear picture that I hadn't been able to see before.

It all made sense now…my dreams about Harmona…my undying love for Krimson despite the fact that he had hated me for so long…and the fact that I was chosen as Krimson’s second chance mate…

It all made a twisted kind of sense…and yet…my mind struggled to comprehend the reality of it all.

"Are you saying... that I …?" I couldn’t say it…hope a fluttering bird trapped inside my chest.

Silver nodded, a mad glint in her eyes. "Yes, Lilac. You were Harmona, Alpha Keith’s first born daughter. You were reborn as a Silver Alpha Breeder…as Krimson’s second chance mate."

The room seemed to spin around me as I struggled to process her revelation. Memories that felt distant yet hauntingly familiar flashed before my eyes—a life cut short, dreams left unfulfilled, and a sense of loss that transcended time itself.

Silver leaned in closer, her eyes locking with mine as she smiled her sinister smile.

"Krimson isn't just your mate in this life, Lilac. He was your mate in that past life too. A connection that spans across time and existence."

Memories flooded in—a life lived before this one, entwined with Krimson, filled with a love that had defied the boundaries of mortality. It explained the inexplicable draw I felt towards him, the magnetic pull that had brought us together time and again.

"Harmona wasn’t my just sister," I murmured, the pieces finally falling into place. "She and I…we’re the same... I am her, reborn."

Silver nodded, and for a second, I saw a faraway expression on her face that vanished the next instant.

"Yes, Lilac. The dreams you've been having, the echoes of a past life, they were guiding you to this realization. Harmona's legacy lives on within you, intertwined with your destiny."

"I was meant to find Krimson again," I whispered, more to myself than to Silver. "A chance to continue what we started, to fulfill a bond that spans beyond time."

As the realization settled within me, I felt a newfound sense of purpose bloom within my heart and in that moment, I knew I couldn't allow Silver to have her way with me. Harmona's legacy wasn't a burden but a gift—an opportunity to forge a destiny that bridged the boundaries of time and love, transcending the limitations of mortal existence.

"Now that we've got that over with, I think it's time we get back on track to where all of this began." she snapped.

Before I knew it, the world tilted on its axis as I felt the force slamming me against the table hard, an invisible grip constricting around me. The air whooshed out of my lungs as Silver's magic pinned me, leaving me breathless and utterly vulnerable. Panic and adrenaline surged within me as I struggled against the unseen force, my heart pounding loud enough to drown out any rational thought.

My eyes widened in terror as I saw Silver advancing, a malevolent glint in her eyes as she brandished a glinting dagger, its edge catching the faint light in a way that sent shivers down my spine. Every instinct screamed at me to fight, to resist, but the magic held me firm against the unyielding surface, leaving me with no recourse but to watch in horror as the dagger gleamed in her hand, inching closer with deadly intent.

Just as despair threatened to consume me, a thunderous crash echoed through the room, the sound of splintering wood as the doors burst open. I glimpsed a figure standing tall in the doorway, a silhouette outlined against the sudden flood of light. Hope surged within me like a lifeline, a flicker of salvation amidst the looming darkness.

"Silvia, stop!" The voice, gravelly and commanding, shattered the tense silence. Krimson stood there, a formidable presence exuding authority and power. His eyes, usually warm and welcoming, blazed with an intensity that sent a clear message - a warning to halt the impending violence.
