Chapter 65
Chapter 65
Alpha Draven POV
"Did you find out what I asked you to find out?" I asked Theo and he nodded, he brought out an iPad and placed it on front of me, looking at the long series of text, I rubbed my brows.
"Just say it Theo."
"Yes My Lord."
"Prince Kael and Talon have history way back in the past, that's probably the reason of the fall between him and his father."
"Is it that simple? Why would he fall out with his father just because he is in love with someone?" Killian asked with a frown as we entered the elevator.
"His father is known to be highly homophobic and hates any other relationship aside a man and woman, it's said that the reason for such is because his first love..."
"He has a first love aside his mate?" Killian asked again and Theo nodded, his gaze on me but I sneered inwardly.
"His first love fell in love with a follow woman and ran away from the pack with her, ever since Alpha Jason remained homophobic."
"How absurd, it's nobody's fault your love ran way from you, why being homophobic?" Killian berated unde this breath and I sneered.
"You are diverting from the main point Theo, we need to get to the meeting." I reminded with a cold voice.
"Yes my Lord, His Father on discovering their relationship threatened Talon, the details of what he said to him to make the stubborn Talon who was madly in love with Kael obey him and broke up with Kael is still unknown, this had triggered Kael towards hating both his father and Talon, he did everything to make him mad, including forcing...shhh...."
Seeing him hesitant to speak, I already knew what was on his mind, actually after I figured I'm undeniably in love with Ryker, I looked into his life in the previous pack.
"He had different boy toys and pet to anger his father and Talon, he even went against his father in the pack Openly, making him the least favorable son."
My brows furrowed slightly at his words, though Prince Kael is the least favorable son, to say he holds more power than his father in their pack isn't an understatement, that's is the reason I'm putting off Killing him despite everything.
"My Lord, we are here." Killian said as he bowed and opened the door to the pack hall.
We walked into the pack meeting hall, the pack warriors, war strategists and elders were already sitted, from the restless expression on their faces, I know they are super worried about the war brewing.
"My Lord!" They all stood up to bow as I stepped in, I nodded and walked to the throne, I gestured for them to sit and began the meeting.
Lord Owen was the first to step up with a grim expression, he is the father of Kathy my previous mate.
"Your Majesty, permit me to say this but my daughter shouldn't be in the dungeon."
"Presumptuous, how dare you!" Elder Fenrir stood up immediately with fire in his eyes, I sat back on my high chair watching them.
"What do you mean by your words Fenrir, I reckon you sit back and let me speak." Owen uttered with disgust laced in his voice.
"I'm afraid I can't do that Owen, we all know what your daughter almost cost our pack and you dare question the decision of his Majesty to punish her, how dare you." Elder Fenrir voice thundered in the hall as he pointed at Owen. The entire crowd broke into chaos with people taking sides with the ones they feel is right.
The chaos ensued for minutes making the entire building vibrate with noise, my rubbed my forehead with darkened expression, at this rate, won't their noise be disturbing my baby. Even the efforts of the guards is still unable to stop it.
"Enough!!"
I shouted in my Alpha tone and the entire hall turned silent in an instant, I sighed and gestured with my hands for Elder Fenrir and Lord Owen to step forward.
"Your Majesty, please hear me out." Lord Owen pleaded as he bowed and I turned to Elder Fenrir, it isn't news that he and Lord Owen always have a fall out in the pack.
"My Lord, he has no right whatsoever to demand the release of such Traitor."
"What Traitor, I suggest you heed your words Elder Fenrir, after all my Daughter was once a mate of our Alpha."
"Exactly Owen, she was once a mate who doesn't know how to control her vicious self, what? Do you think your daughter still stands a chance of being the Luna." Elder Fenrir taunted with fire in his eyes.
The crowd gasped at his words, he had managed to bring up the courage to say what is in the mind of everyone, indeed I had kept Kathy close more than my previous rejected mates making others think I have soft spots for her, but it totally have nothing with her being the Luna.
"How presumptuous!! My Lord, even though Elder Fenrir efforts in the pack is undeniable, he has no right to be little my daughter this way." Lord Owen suddenly bowed and knelt in front of me with a grave expression, I released the second to highest form of my Alpha aura and everyone in the hall clutched their chest and fall to their knees excluding my Beta and Gamma.
My fingers tapped rhythmically on the handle of the chair and the sounds made the silence in the hall even more creepy.
"Lord Owen, you seem to have forgotten the purpose of which this meeting is called?" I asked with raised brows and withdraw my Alpha aura.
"No.n...no..most definitely not your Majesty." He stuttered as he tried to stand up with the help of his assistant.
"Our pack is at the verge of war and what you care to think about is your Traitor daughter?" I asked with a cold voice that sent chills down the spine of everyone present.
"I wouldn't dare my Lord ...but permit me to say my daughter is no traitor, hence she doesn't deserve to be treated as such." Lord Owen muttered with a cupped fists.
I chuckled darkly at his confidence, does he think I wouldn't dare slash his throat just because he is the bosom friend of my late mother.
"How dare you..." Killian shouted angrily as he walked heftily towards Owen, I raised my hand and gestured him to retreat, he bowed and backed away.
"What makes you feel your daughter ain't a traitor?" I asked slowly, sure a Traitor is too much to label her for but her actions not only affected me but the total well-being of the pack.
"My Lord, she merely said the facts to your mate, it's not her fault if your mate is triggered by her words and ran away straight into the enemy's hand, besides it was the heir to blood moon pack that directed him to the forest..."
His words were caught short by the grand entrance of my cousin, I sighed and looked up to him, his usual playful expression was gone and his gaze serious.
"We have a problem."
