Tay's POV

Steven gave up his true mate for me. I love him, but not the same way anymore. I realized sometimes what I feel can get in a way of two people who were actually meant for each other.. For me what he did was selfish. I have mine and he has his.

"They're down there. We tied them up pretty tight and they're still

knocked out." Steven came in with a chuckle as they all did. I looked up at him as he caught my gaze.

I stood up with Angel on my arms, "you all should show them to their rooms. Angel will be staying with me." I said and passed by.

I went straight up to my room and laid Angel down on my bed. I put the covers up on her and kissed her on the forehead, wishing her good night.

"Hey" A voice came through the door.

I looked behind me to see Steven looking at both Angel and me. How

ironic is it that he was Emma and I's topic and was the reason for my way of feeling the way I felt towards him. Now here he is, in front of me

"Your family seems very nice." He smiled and I stood ups.

"Yes they are. But let's talk outside before Angel wakes up." I whispered and led us outside.

We stood in hallways as he closed the door silently. When it was fully closed, I quickly punched him in the face when was about to turn around.

"Ah.. What's that for?" He winced as he touched his face, rubbing his jaw.

"How dare you hurt Emma. She's your mate. Why are you even still with me while you got her?"

"l love you. I don't love her the way I do with you. Can't you see? I see myself more with being with you. Not with her."

"It doesn't work that way. I'm not yours and you're not mine. That's already being shown for us,"

"What are you talking about Tay? I'm your boyfriend"

I shook my head, "no. We can't be together."

"What? Why?" He looked a bit hurt, but he was more focused on the

reason why.

"I already found a mate" His eyes were filled with worry and hurt as l kept my expressions straight and calm.

"Who?" He questioned. I knew right away that things won't be good, but I decided to answer it anyways.

"Kristofer."

His jaws tensed and he avoided my gaze, "it's wrong for you to be

without your mate. I know deep inside you don't feel that love with me, but instead you feel a lot more with Emma. The mates bond can be tough to ignore huh? The more she's here, you won't need me

anymore."

"No Steven. Don't be selfish. It's already clear enough that we're not meant to be. You're mate is waiting for you downstairs, but you're here hurting her. The Goddess has given you an opportunity to finally be with someone who you're meant to be with. How could you possibly give up what you've dreamed of for so long when it's right there in front you?" I said almost heart broken by his choice

"Because of you Tay. I gave almost everything up because of you."

His eyes was full of sadness that a tear fell down his face. I was surprised how much he fell for me, but I can't accept that. Not ever.

"You weren't suppose to give up everything you have Steven.. Don't be blind. She's waiting for you like you've waited for her. She's hurting Steven, doesn't she mean anything? Even if she's mortal, you have to give her a chance. I can't have you when I have Kristofer, it's not fair for him or for you or even for Emma. If you continue this, you'll keep hurting and she will too.. Come on Steven think. What's the point of finally having a soul mate when all you'll do is hurt her? Don't be that person chasing someone else who isn't yours. Give yourself a chance."

He looked at me surprised by my words. I've been meaning every word

that I've said to him. I can't even believe how much I've said that I felt surprised myself. I guess feeling what I felt was important. But what,surprised me even more was that he hugged me.

"Just remember. I'll always love you." He whispered before pulling apart and going downstairs. I smiled and shook my head.

Kristoffer's POV

I watched as everyone told us who they were. They're not that bad of a people and Tay was right. It was time to make a difference and work together as a team instead of always ending things in violence. Who knew having a Huntress as a mate can be this extreme. As much as it will be hard, it might be possible to get through some hunters to accept us. Hopefully some will understand. Right?Steven

"Where's the other two?" I swear if he's doing something to her. I'm ripping him apart.

'My wolf' growled.

All my wolf could do was scoff. He knew I was right, there was never a time where l did ask Jay to be mine. Not if she's still with Steven.

"Kris" A voice interrupted my way of thinking.

I turned around to see Steven, "what?"

"Your mate needs you upstairs." He said as he gave a small smile.

I can tell he was hurt, but he's trying to accept it. I can't believe Tay finally told him..

"Oh." Was all l could say

He went up to me with a sigh and looked at someone across the room. I Iooked to the same direction and understood.

"Look man, I'm sorry for the things I've done. I love Tay. She was my first love that my heart and soul ever chose to lay their eyes on her, but ever since I found Emma. I just couldn't accept it. Her in general."

"Because she's a hunter."

"Yeah. I didn't want her for anyone else. Especially not you, but you're her mate. I guess in I just have to accept the fact that Emma and her have their own similarities. But at least they'll have something different."

I crossed my arms and looked at Steven, "that is?"

He gave a sad smile and looked into my eyes, "she's not Tay."

I looked at Emma as she smiled and laughs at the rest while they told their funny stories to Eric. It's like all of them are friends already. But Emma did have some personality that goes well with Tay. Not completely, but enough.

"Truce?" He asked as he reached out his hand.

I smiled and nodded, shaking his hand, "truce.!"

"I'm sorry though for everything"

"It's fine. I understand, but all is forgiven and forgotten." He nodded with a smile and went to Emma.

Emma was surprised as she looked up at him with a blush. Then she

looked at me, but I didn't know the reason for it. Emma began to mouth.

"I'm glad they worked out." I jumped a bit not knowing Jay was already beside me.

"God what the hell. How'd you get here?" My voice was shaky from her sudden appearance.

"Sorry Kris. I just walked here." She laughed and hugged me.

"So much for that"imumbled as she stayed there still and quiet.

"Yes." She said and I puled apart from her with one eyebrow raised up.

"Did you read my thoughts again?" I questioned.

She nodded and gave an apologetic smile, "your wolf, Sam did. What an impatient wolf you got there?"

I chuckled, "he couldn't wait.. But great!" I kissed her on the lips for the first time and felt many sparks. It's been so long since I've waited for my mate and here she is now. I pulled apart as she blushed and I laughed. She pushed my face to the side lightly, "you're a dork."

"But I'm your dork." I winked.

"Oh shut up you nerd. Come on you got people to get know." She

laughed as she dragged us to the rest.

We all communicated at first, but we ended up being side tracked. Eric brought up the three new in comers down at the basement as we began to discuss our way to know what to do to them

"Well if you guys want information, you can't just go easy on them.

Doesn't matter if they're new." Tay announced.

"Two years passed and you still use the torture technique to get

information." Levi chuckled as Eric, Steven and I looked at her

questioningly.

"Only if needed. You won't need to torture the three that much because being new, they'll be scared on why they're still alive." We all nodded to her direction

'Talk about a good Luna already?" I smirked as she playfully rolled her eyes at me.

"Let's go to work." She mumbled as her face turned a bit red. Everyone laughed noticing it her red cheeks before going down to the basement.

I have to say, Tay has been getting out of her comfort zone little by little lately. Her true colors have been showing and so far, it's nothing but a surprise. Whatever she does has us all surprised. Who knows what she'll do next?
