Chapter 132
Chapter 132
Tay's POV
We all went down to the old basement that still looked new. It's been so many years or maybe even longer since this house was still standing up and I've gotta say. It never failed to always look new.
"Does the Alpha ever keep prisoners here?" Levi questioned.
"He has, but the prisoners he's kept were never sentenced to death. If it was death then he would've done it outside, but for prisoners? It's only for rogues. Unless they're going straight to death." Eric answered as Levi gave a whistle.
I chuckled and looked at the three bodies awake, eyes being blocked by the blind fold, their hands, feet, and even their upper body was tied up. When the boys said they tied them up pretty tight, they weren't kidding.
"Congrats captains." I chuckled as new in comers tried looking at our direction.
"Who's there!" The dirty blonde yelled, "LEVI! GET US OUT OF HERE!"
"Why should I Zach?" Levi answered as he narrowed his eyes towards
him
"Wha- the hunters told us to be together as a team How could you
betray your own kind!" The boy with a quiff haircut yelled as he
struggled with the ropes.
"It's different. You know nothing about the two sides or who and what you're fighting against with Kevin. How are you sure you're fighting on the right side and going on the right path?" He questioned as the three was silent
"See. You don't know. How are you sure they're not using every hunter as a tool. You're fighting for nothing if the person telling you lies only sees you as a useless shield. Your death will be nothing"
"That's enough Levi. It's best if you and the others rest, we'll take care of this and tomorrow we'll fill you in. You and the others can join in if you'd like?" I questioned, looking at Levi as he gave me a small nod.
"Thank you Tay." He whispered and hugged me before he told the rest
to go upstairs after a long night of traveling.
I gave a small smile as Steven kissed Emma on the cheek good night and watched them leave. When they were fully gone, he nodded for us to keep continuing our job.
My attention was back again to the new in comers.
"So what have I missed during the hunter meetings" l questioned as
They looked around trying to get their focus back, but their eyes landed on me.
"You. You looked familiar?" Leo said silently as he studied me.
"You couldn't see me outside? Was it that dark?" I chuckled, but he was still studying me.
"Isabel? You're Isabel!" He said loudly as the two caught up with him.
"Isabel?" Kristoffer asked almost jokingly.
I guess that's the name l used when was with them.'I said in a mind- linked.
"You- the boss. Al he's done was talk about this mysterious loner
huntress.. He finds you very appealing"
I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms, "the boss who's never even
present during meetings, but always stuck in his office? That boss??"
"Yeah him!" I looked at the short boy and looked at the rest as they're sucking up the information.
"What's your boss's name?"
"No one really knows.. Levi knows him. He's practically the only one who speaks or is trustworthy to even communicate with the boss. We're even surprise to see him enter the boss's room. We even heard it from the hunters who's been stuck with the boss for years. Only time he was out was before, but he stopped was 9 years ago.
"What are you talking about? Why 9 years ago?" Steven questioned as
Eric stepped up
"Isn't that when you ran away from our pack.?"
I looked at him and then at the three before nodding, "why only then?"
"He was doing research.. He was finding someone for awhile, a child I'm guessing?" Kevin answered, "Leo knows the whole story. It was rumored and the boss hasn't denied it."
"What rumor?" Kristoffer asked.
The short boy, Leo sighed and began to speak, "there was a child who was born on the day where all the legacies died. That child was the last of the Cruz family who's born with legacy in that child's blood. After that one incident with one woman who was pregnant with the child of the famous and strongest legacy hunter, Kyle Cruz, he has a brother who wasn't as strong as Kyle. He was a regular hunter, but he's a fast learner."
I looked at him with a blank expression, but deep inside.. I was surprised and a bit depressed by hearing my dads name. But the rumor, why and how was it even brought up to begin with.
"Do they have a clue on who the child is?" Eric questioned again as he looked at me.
"No. They couldn't see what gender the child was, but at the same time they can't anyways. The child was just a baby, it's impossible to recognize the gender when all you see was the head."
"For a prisoner you sure say a lot of information." Steven scoffed and shook his head disapprovingly.
"Every hunter knows the rumor. It's not an information. The boss, Kyle's brother? He's looking for their child. It's a lot more difficult to find that child now, well harder now than it was in the beginning" Zach mumbled.
"He won't know if that child is alive or dead. It's been 9 years? How sure is he that, that child is still alive?" I questioned feeling curious with their answer.
"He knows. He keeps something that keeps track of every legacies in the world, but one still stands. Till now, he's still looking."
"Which means, since that child is still alive. Boss had a plan ready to go when he meets her. But-" Kevin got interrupted by Leo.
"That means Kyle's brother, the child's uncle, which is also the boss, can still have a chance to have a family relative who's powerful enough to be on the hunters side. That kid will be useful to the clan and actually help to get the job done faster." As soon as Leo finished, I felt Kristoffer's hand land on my waist as he gripped on it.
"Now that's an information I can't give." Kevin said with a smirk.
"They're only 15-16." Eric chuckled as the three glared at him. The boys didn't look like their age, but their personality wasn't really matured. It fits guess?
"Alright then. I see. What happens if this child doesn't wanna be on his side?" I questioned.
"Well he might train the child, if not he'll just punish the child. We won't really know. It's just up to what the boss wants to do." Kevin chuckled as I rolled my eyes
"So Levi? You basically told us that Levi knows your boss and how he looks. You practically snitched on the poor fella." Kristoffer said with a chuckle as the three noticed their mistake
"Sure we snitched, but he turned us in." Zach looked at us angrily while all of us chuckled as if he told a joke.
"You just made our job easy. But who knows? You're probably just
telling us half the truth or maybe whatever you're saying are all lies." I stared into their eyes one by one and all of a sudden, whispers filled my head and ears
They were talking, but whenever their mouths open, no words come
out. As if they were mute, but their voices played in my head.
I raised my eyebrows and wanted to know how I was able to do this, but was too focused on the voices. As the whispers began to echo, it all disappeared that silence took over.
"They're telling the truth about everything. Just not a bout one thing.." said through mind-link towards Eric, Steven, and Kristoffer
"What is it?" Eric questioned.
'My uncle, he has a lead on where l am. But they're too far from this place so they will be here in a couple of days.'
"Our time of chit chat is done. Have a good night boys."
Eric stood in front of them as he began to punch the three on the face, knocking them out completely.
I sighed, "was that even necessary Eric?"
"Of course it was. If they're awake, they'll probably plan an escape. As for those upstairs, I don't think I can trust them."
"l understand why you can't. But we still have to try and figure out what Levi knows before they even arrive here.!"
"Still trust the guy?" Eric said bitterly.
"Yes. We'll talk about it tomorrow. Everyone needs to rest." I walked upstairs as they all followed, "tomorrow we'll have a lot more to discuss."
"You go on ahead and sleep. We'll fix the window that's been broken
down. Steven raised both his eyebrows at me as I gave an apologetic
smile and scratched the back of my neck.
"I'm sorry about that. It had to be real and the glass is the only easy shot."I chuckled nervously
"Come on you trouble maker." Kristoffer tugged my arm as we all said our good nights. Once we got upstairs, he guided me into his room as l entered inside. I took off my shoes and laid down on his soft bed as he laid down beside me, wrapping his arms around my waist with his cheek laying against my head.
"For a Luna, you sure deserved to be in that place.. Maybe even perhaps a movie start for that acting or just a scam person?" He chuckled as I poked his side that made him flinch.
"As much as I hate acting, I had to make it real. I wanted to protect you all." I whispered and yawned, feeling comfortable.
I smuggled I did.. But you're the youngest. It's our job to do that. Not you."
"It doesn't matter whether who's the youngest and who's the oldest.
We're a family, that's the only reason I have. I just love you all too much to get hurt"
"Even so, I will always protect you." His hug tightened as I felt safer.
"I will too. No matter what" I smiled and closed as my eyes feeling
myself drift off to sleep.
Kristoffer's POV
I laid there silently next to my mate as she slept peacefully. New
members have lived in the pack house, hunters. I always wondered how it'd be like to actually have friends who are pure hunters?
l always questioned them. Why do they fight? Why become a hunter if
there's a choice of freedom or death? What's their purpose for these hate among werewolves even though none of them or their family members have been attacked? Why drag other werewolf packs into wat that's lived all their life in peace? Do hunters go to war for a reason or sport?
I sighed at the thought of people accusing the werewolf packs for
something that they never witnessed. I caressed Jay's arm lightly, but until then some light began to shimmer from her body. I looked down at her to see her arm grow, I looked down at her wrists to see some inked tattoo? I ran my thumb across it which made my body react to it as I went stiff and became paralyzed.
"What the..'I thought as my visions began to blur, bringing me into the darkness.
groaned and opened my eyes. I looked straight ahead to see the dark
skies. I sat up and looked around, I was no longer in my room with Tay.
"Kristoffer, I'm glad to see you awake."An angelic voice echoed and I stood up to see a bright light woman. She had the same brightness as the tattoo..
"M-Moon Goddess.. Wha- why am I here.?" I questioned as she walked
closely to me and I remained in place.
"I have things to discuss with you my child."
"About w-what. ?"I stuttered, stil not knowing my purpose of being
summoned by the Moon Goddess.
She looked at me as I studied her expressions. From what i can see, she was not too pleased nor happy.. She was angry.
"Say."
