Chapter 61 CHAPTER 61

Chapter 61 CHAPTER 61

ALINA’S POV

Showering was a good way to forget about things. The best way to wash off unpleasant memories and just step out anew. Sleep anew if you’d like, it’s what I did.

But I think I did it a little too much? I did too much showering and somehow it led to this mess right now. Cause how else do you explain this??

“I take it you slept well, brown eyes? Hm?” he smiled. Green taunting in front of my face. More than that, laughing. Unable to help himself, and shall I repeat in front of my face??

How did I end up here? How did he end up here??

“What am I even asking,” His voice trailed, “Of course you slept well! You had the best bed for the job. The most relaxing place on the face of the earth, you ought to sleep well. Did you sleep well, brown eyes?”

What?

THE best place on the face of the earth??

Oh my God, he was referring to his body. Oh my- Ughh!

The horror.

The sheer horror of this moment right now. Alina what have you done?!

“Hey,” he grabbed me. My arm. My eyes sharply following his movements, suddenly very aware right now.

“You want to sleep some more?” he teased, leaning up somehow. His hands holding me in place. Worse, pulling me to himself, wanting to rest my face on his chest. His stupid chest. How did all these even start??

“C’mon, don’t be shy. Just close your eyes…Sleep on my body some more, Alina. You’ll love it, I promise. You’ve been loving it all night.”

Ughhhh.

“C’mon rest up. Rest on my body and not bother about all the pillows you lined up on the bed last night.”

Oh God.

He was mocking me now. He was definitely mocking me!

“Alin-

“Stop,” I said quiet. Barely audible. My voice thick with embarrassment, my stupid hair not doing nearly enough to shed me even a little from his taunting sneer and laughing green eyes.

“What are you doing, brown eyes?” he still called, adding salt on injury. Finding my eyes.“You don’t want to sleep anymore? You don’t like my body? I thought you preferred it over the bed. Okay it’s this part? You don’t like this part anymore, why don’t I turn around so you can cuddle and hold me from the sides and then-

“Ughhhh,” I couldn’t take any more. Pushed him right off, fighting my way off his body. His crackling laughter resounding all over the place. Especially as I went stumbling down amid the struggle, his stupid oversized pants tripping me.

“Oh c’mon now, be careful brown eyes!” I stood up, dragging the pants. hurrying. Hurrying away in shame. His voice following me. “You’re still clearly sleepy where you going? Come back to me right now, come to my body, come use me as your damn soft mattress and pillow. Come use me all day long, Alina! You’re a fantansic sleeper. A good bed partner with all the rules, pillows and stuff!”

Oh God!

“You lined up the pillows but look how you slept.”

I slammed the bathroom door shut already. His laughter loud in the air, taunting taking several higher notes as I drowned from the shame of it all.

“Ohhh… God!” I moaned out. Slapping my palms on my face, feet adjusting, sliding down to the floors. Sinking jus like jelly. Or smashed potatoes. Smashed potatoes fit my description right now. Shaved, disgraced, squeezed, pounded and served dry by Roman Ward!

Roman Ward,  that bastard.

That bastard!

“He’s so fucking ruthless.” I gasped, still in disbelief. Not understanding how it all even happened. “Last thing I remember is putting my phone down and adjusting to the very end of the bed.”

How did I move from the very end and to the middle, past the middle, past the pillows, to his side and then right on top on him! How Alina? How???

“You’re a terrible sleeper! I cannot share a bed with you.” Cleo’s voice came to my head. A reminder of course, but way to kick a girl while she’s down huh?

“This is just the worst.” I muttered, slowly overcoming my shame. Not getting up from the floor though. “The day had not even started and it’s like this already. How do I survive the rest of the day?”

I definitely would not be hearing the end of this from him. He would remind me ever so frequently, rubbing it in over and over.

“How many more times do I need to embarrass myself in front of this man? How many is enough, Alina?”

Scratch that, how many times is enough universe?! It’s the universe doing this not me. This was beyond my power at this point. And at the end I’d still have to go back out there to face him again.

“I have to,” I muttered, sighing. “It’s not like I have much of a choice. I can’t stay in this bathroom forever, it’s one bathroom to begin with.”

Arghhh.

“Let’s just get this over with.”

First shower, and then step out boldly. Like nothing happened. I wasn’t in control of my own sleeping patterns, was I? It was installed in me at creation, I won’t apologize for something I had no opinions on.

With that I stood from the floor. Baggy pants and all that. A slight glance at the mirror to see what a horror my hair was, and then I jumped into the shower.

Took my time of course. I had tons to do if I wanted my hair straight again.

Anyways by the time I was done, out of the shower, bathrobe on and everything, what awaited me for not short of some mini departmental store.

“Oh brown eyes!” His voice called, I turned to him. Seeing he already had breakfast from the dinning area in the room.

But first, brown eyes?

Since when did that happen?

“You’re finally out.” he said, rising. Putting his phone and stuff away, heading over to me, then past me. Shirt coming off, I quickly looked away then. No need to stir up any time of shit.

“Pick a few clothes. Ones that’ll last for the trip, have breakfast and when I’m done, we’ll go see the suppliers. Good?”

“G-good?” I repeated, not really sure but whatever anyways. It got him to leave for the bathroom. A teasing smile on his lips of course.

What would a bastard be without his signature smirk? At least I wasn’t being reminded of my horrific morning.

I got down to business then. Using the chance to dress up since he wasn’t in the room, a dark purple tailored dress. Expensive surely but I loved it. There was heels to go along with it, and a purse. I used them all, finally looking like someone I recognized.

Creative Consultant, Alina Monroe.

“Good.” I turned to breakfast then. Giving myself a fresh overview of the suppliers we were to meet and the equipment with issues.

By the time I was done, he was out and ready. Scenting strikingly of a body cologne my brain had registered as his.

“Good?” he called again,

“Good.” I responded, confident this time. And in a matter of moments, we left the room.

If only i knew this day was just taking a turn for the worst.
